Thanks, I couldn't narrow down to correct model of AHU though. It will be helpful if you could tell me which one should I choose. Thanks again.

At the moment I have a broken oracle ball, so unfortunately, I can't advise you on that. But if you take the display out of the radio and measure and take a picture, the seller will definitely advise you.

Cracked Screen / Service Manual

Hi Everyone
I was on a flight yesterday and had my TP2 in my pocket. I think the pressure from the arm rest and my leg may have been a bit too much, because when we landed and I took my phone out of my pocket there was a huge crack in the glass from top to bottom (the LCD is fine). Needless to say I am devasted, and annoyed that it cracked so damn easily. I have made a couple of calls and the price to get it replaced has been astronomical... Has anyone seen a service manual for the TP2 yet, and would it be wise replacing it myself- I have seen some of the screens going on ebay for around $35.
Thanks
Hi,
Welcome to my club unfortunately Please first have a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534883
The service or dismantling manual of this phone has not arrived yet; please follow this site for HTC technical manuals: http://www.mikechannon.net/page1.html
I also bought myself a new screen and tried to change the broken LCD, but although I have removed two screws at the bottom; it was nearly impossible to remove the front face because of the hard middle part. So I was afraid to break it and did not force it much.
Therefore I am now sending it to the customer service; and will wait for official repair.
Regards,

Wow, that's a nice link --> Straight to my favs!
Thanx
Now just wait for the Rhodium manual.
Thanks. I am getting it fixed here locally by a repairer that a few people have recommended. Here are some photos of where it has cracked FYI.

Just to update - site has been back up for a while now. HTC wanted the G2 manual removed, hence the period of downtime while I clarified what they wanted.
I have not located the Rhodium Service Manual - if anyone locates it, let me know.
Thanks
Mike

resize the image please, however this is obviously an HW problem, you should return the phone to HTC if you're still covered by warranty
i am currently on military tour in afghanistan, so returning is obviously not an option, do i need to get a new lcd or the digitizer? i can fix it myself

you need a new lcd, but you will have to detach the lcd from the digitizer and then reattach the lcd to the old digitizer, that's tricky...there's also a thread on how to do it in the general section

well, from what i see it is an LCD+Digitizer already assembled... that's the easiest way but it costs a bit more... but i don't know what is AUO
ah well, gonna get that, can you link to the post you said about showing how to replace the screen?
here you go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720900
AUO is Acer and Sony is Sony.
I guess I read that AT&T (XL) has the Sony LCD and the International one has AUO.
Not sure if they have any differences or each other will fit in the other one.

Where I can find/purchase a Midframe Assembly for OnePlus 3?

Unfortunately I broke my back camera glass of my Oneplus 3 and I would like to know how I can fix it or where I can find the needed parts without sending the phone back to the Oneplus.
Thank you in advance,
Loren

Couldn't find anything for the midframe but this is relatively close:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...671201?hash=item25beab0de1:g:GhcAAOSwixtXQ6-J
Now you just need to figure out how to remove the glass portion
Good luck!

px5 upgrade

I have an older PX3 unit (i think, it's a rockchip rk3188 + 1gb ram, made by Joying) I'd like to upgrade. I've found a PX5 board: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32820356300.html and have been reading stories about BT/WIFI not working. I'm handy with a soldering iron, so I can potentially change out the BT/WIFI module if it doesn't, I'm assuming I'd swap it with this: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32953209958.html if I run in to problems? Also, is there anything I'd need to do to the unit before swapping out the boards? flash anything? Is there a better board to upgrade to? I've read about PX6 boards but can't seem to find em on aliexpress. In all honesty i think the PX5 would be a sufficient upgrade, since this PX3 is just stupid slow. I don't care about 3g/4g dongles, just really want something that will run headunit reloaded for android auto.
Is your unit an MTCD? Post MCU version.

I took these photos of the unit information, let me know if there's anything else you need. As far as I know its an MTCD unit.

Yes you can upgrade the SOM and WIFI/BT module with the items you list. This is exactly what I did.

Thanks. Is there any prep to do beforehand? or is it just drop in and go? I'll have to solder on that wifi/bt board i suppose, but I mean software wise?

Suggest updating your MCU to latest available. The supplier should ship the SOM with Android installed.

Do you know which one is the latest for my unit? According to the list of cross compatible MCU's it should be 2.56?
I have a new PX5 SOM for sale and also a bricked one if someone is confident using OTG mod to unbrick it. I post to UK only

Hi there as well
Please allow me to give you some advice.
1. The last post in this thread dates back to almost a year ago, so there is little chance of you getting the replies you are hoping for.
2. That gets me to the second point.
You could start a new thread in the Q&A section, with exactly that question you have posted today. Might get you some attention and ideally an answer to your question
Good luck!
Cheers,
mrjuniork

Which one is the best ?

Hello everyone.
I would like to know wich one of the radio module is the best please ?
the NXP/TEF6686 or the TDA7708 ?
i have the NXP/TEF6686 in ford focus and it work great but i would like to buy an other unit for my seat leon and the head unit i saw has a tda7708.
The TDA7708 is equivalent quality or worse for the stability, rds, signal ?
Thanks a lot everyone

Neither, they are mostly identical in terms of receive performance. If you take some time, you'll find my post about this.

I think you have confused chips with modules.
All of these "chips" are exceptionally good.
Receive performance is impacted by module manufacturer and software implementation driving them.

ok my mistake...
I said that because i had a xtrons with TDA7786 and i change it for a xtrons with NXP/TEF 6686, the specs and android version+soft was identicals except the radio chipset and the reception/stability and rds work fine on the 6686 model.
Thanks to you
