Relock Bootloader - Moto G 5G Plus Questions & Answers

Dear All,
I decided to return to stock rom. However, when I type fastboot oem lock, the device cannot restart. Then I tried to flash stock rom again (in bootloader locked state) but it failed....
Any solutions?

I'm having a similar issue I guess. I have the drivers. I can get into fastboot mode but when I type fastboot flashing lock or fastboot oem lock, the phone just waits and I have to volume down and power to restart. Maybe something wrong with phone?

[Q] Stuck in Bootloader, no input possible - How to reset?

Hi,
I am stuck in the bootloader and no input with the volume rocker is possible anymore.
How to reset it? Pull out the battery? I cannot find a reset button somehow..
Cheers
Try disconnecting the battery. I assume that you are not midway flashing some OS or ROM, in which case you should probably wait.

No...i wanted to flash the stock rom of google but my device was not found by fastboot. I restarted my pc with the device still in bootloader and whilst being connected to the pc.
Pc didnt want to start up properly so i had to disconnect the USB connection.
Think my pc wanted to read from the internal memory of the phone or something.
Does this change your advice ? (hopefully not..)
Resetting the phone by taking out the battery shouldn't be a problem if you havent started flashing the new rom. I would try again after confirming that the fastboot and usb drivers can see the device before proceeding any further.
You can use fastboot devices to list attached devices. Only progress further once you can see your phone using the above command.
I did the same today a few hours ago and in my case, I started the phone in bootloader mode via Volume up + down + power button or via adb reboot bootloader. Then with fastboot, issue the fastboot oem unlock command to unlock the bootloader first. Once done, then you can flash the stock image (bootloader, radio and rom) with the following commands.
fastboot flash bootloader <bootloader image>
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio <radio image>
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update <rom image>
Don't forget to lock the bootloader once done using fastboot oem lock
Just to clarify, depending on the version of the OS on your client PC/Mac/Linux, there are variants of fastboot. I use fastboot-mac from my mac.
Hi thanks for the post s1977. One thing I would like to clarify. I am currently on a yakjuzs build. I am going to move over to a "pure" yakju build (currently on yakjuzs 4.0.1, new build will be yakju 4.0.2). I have already unlocked bootloader and rooted phone. If I were to perform this update, I know I do not need to perform fastboot oem unlock (which I know wipes the internal storage) but will the flashing of the new bootloader wipe the storage as well, or will it just update it?

Help! Fastboot oem lock wrong kernel...

My girlfriend wanted to go back to Stock firmware but forgot to flash the original boot.img ...
And introduced the fastboot oem lock....
Now is written at the top - locked, and no ability to flash the kernel, or recovery ...
Htc dev unlock does not work .. when the phone is rebooted, everything remains as it was - locked ...
Ruu begins to flash, comes to an end, but nothing happens...
Can't enter recovery...
There are any ideas for unlocking? Or a direct route to the service center?
Blocked kernel - RenovateROM Final 1 - Unofficial build 1

sorry for my english))
The first time you unlocked the device the .bin unlock code was send in your mail box, check if its there. If its there you copy it to the fastboot folder (or the folder where you flash from)
Phone in fastboot usb mode and do this command
Fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
This unlocks the bootloader and you can start flashing

Phone unconsciously bricked

Hi,
A few days ago I woke up with battery at 1% asking to enter extreme mode and after I did some charging I noticed my battery is draining fast. Then I decided to restart my phone and it went into a bootloop.
I restarted this phone previously without any problems.
Now I can't enter download or recovery mode. I can only use fastboot on bootloader menu but not adb cause I can't enter download mode (adb shows no devices but fastboot shows).
My phone bootloader is locked, S-oFF production. Everything is stock, never changed anything.
Tried fastboot oem rebootRUU didnt work.
Tried fastboot boot recovery.img and failed as I need unlocked bootloader
fastboot oem unlock/lock shows unknown command
fastboot flash hosp hosp.img also didn't work
fastboot flash boot recovery.img didn't work.
All of them lead to a small HTC logo in the middle but then return to the bootloop.
I also tried removing SD card and rebooting but didn't work.
Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks.
A wild shot..

Have you tried a "Power Off" ... wait 10 to 20 secs ... then hold "vol down" and "power" at same time. See the little "HTC" twice before you release the buttons. That should put you in boot loader mode. Then we can go from there. If it doesn't then I don't know what to do. It is how I have recovered from my catastrophes... and I have had similar instances like yours.

Boot into RUU if you're unable to get bootloader unlock token in bootloader mode

So... I have been stuck with a HTC One E9+ for many months with a lock screen that I literally can't unlock, and flashed TWRP but can't be used because of locked bootloader, I had finally discovered a way to get the unlock token. Here's a little bit of story. I tried to run 'fastboot oem get_identifier_token' in bootloader mode, but the phone returned unknown command. I had tried that when everything was normal. I had check the settings in developer options, and there is nothing related to unlocking bootloader inside there. Until recently, I had discovered 'fastboot oem rebootRUU' from other blog post.
All in all, if you couldn't get the bootloader unlock token in bootloader mode, try to get it in RUU mode.
Good luck!
Hi, i tried to run the command "fastboot oem rebootRUU" but no code appeared.

Bricked with access to only Fastboot in oem locked state

A chain of unfortunate(or reckless) events led to my soft bricked Robin. This is the current state of the device:
Does not boot normally, stuck at boot loop.
Have access to fastboot mode and Stock recovery.
No access to adb.
Device is OEM Locked and does not allow flashing anything from Fastboot.
What are my options? I have seen posts for other devices where they toggle OEM Lock status from Fastboot
Also some other cases where they use QFIL to flash stock OS.
Please advise.
Can unlock the boot loader with
Code:
fastboot -i 0x2c3f oem unlock
Did you get the drivers n stuff?
(apologies if you know all that).
