Question PayPal & root - OnePlus 9 Pro

Hi all,
So i rooted my 9 pro and all looks fine with safetynet check, but it appears root is still being detected as Disney+ app ia not showing in the store and PayPal force closes when i try to login. I've hidden all i can think of and cleared PayPal data, but the issue is still present. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Do you have adaway or ad guard

Use Magisk Hide to hide root from those specific apps. You can do this inside the Magisk App

Ignore this comment - I misread the last part of your post. I would also try hiding the Magisk app. The app can hide itself by changing it's app ID and name. This feature should be located in the settings of Magisk but I can't screenshot the exact location as I don't have root yet.

Edit: Thanks for the nudge. I turned off the "Enable web server" and it sorted the issues. Thanks

Adaway not working

Anyone have an idea on how to get Adaway to work with a rooted Pixel XL?
Chainfire has a article talking about root that discuss how to get AdAway to work. I am not rooted and using paid version of Adguard 10$ per year and it works great
It will need updated to work with the Pixel XL, but until then, there's a workaround found here: http://www.xda-developers.com/root-is-now-available-for-the-google-pixel-and-pixel-xl/
Download AdAway v3.1.2 from our forums, then use either a terminal emulator or ADB shell to enter the following command:
Bash:
mkdir /su/etc; cp /system/etc/hosts /su/etc/hosts; echo "#!/su/bin/sush\nmount -o bind /su/etc/hosts /system/etc/hosts" > /su/su.d/50adaway; chmod 0700 /su/su.d/50adaway
Reboot, and you should have system-wide ad blocking.

I got it to work, it said it failed but I rebooted and it works.
I use a modified apk I found here on the site named AdAway_systemless_hosts_v2.zip, to be flashed in recovery.
Afterwards the program manages to flash the hosts.

On-screen Allow/grand/install buttons not working

First of all i would like to wish everyone here on XDA merry Christmas and happy holidays and a huuuge thank for your help.
So recently i decided i wanter all my notifications to be displayed in Paranoid Androids Halo mode i achieve that by installing the following 2 apps
Unique Controls
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ivianuu.halo
XHFW3 - floating windows - ver. 3.19 beta
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-xhfw3-floating-windows-t3371074
everything works fine, however i noticed that the (allow, install or grand on-screen buttons) dont work, whilst the cancel button works fine... e.g when installing an app i cant touch install but i can touch cancel or grans SuperSU access
i am currently running the stock OxygenOS 3.2.8
rooter with xposed installed.
p.s if i kill the Unique Controls (halo) app everything works as supposed to.
does anyone know any workaround this or a fix, i have uninstalled this 2 apps for the time beeing but i would really love to make this happen.
If you're on MM and have xposed, there is a module called NoScreenOverlay. This is exactly what you need. Check it out. Cheers.

I couldn't find the NoScreenOverlay module, i did however found a NoOverlayWarning Xposed module which helped i can istall apps and allow buttons work. However for some reason the SuperSU popup (deny/grand/check to ask again) dont work.

[APP/MOD][OOS]Google Dialer/Phone with all functionality. (needs TWRP)

OkYou can install an old patched version, or if you are like me, and loved having that auto spam notification and spam reporting options as well as location based search results like in the newest versions, then you can do this:
You need to have TWRP and flash this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3907762&d=1476815806 (Google Dialer Framework Support)
and then use APK mirror to download and install the newest official Google Phone APK.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/
Then freeze/disable the default Dialer app, and set the Google one as default.
This can be done by going to "app info" for default OnePlus phone app and disabling, then by going to Google Phone "app info" and clicking on Phone App, then on the "Configure apps screen, changing the default Phone App to the only option you should have (after disabling the default one) which is the Google "Phone". Then make sure your new Phone app has all it's permissions.
Known Issue:
Can not answer calls from notification panel. You have to press the panel and go to the phone app to swipe up or down to accept or reject call.
All the info that I posted and more can be found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-dialer-t3557412
Credit to user iMarbot
Edit:
I would recommend using this other method, as it truly works 100%.
Google Dialer and Contacts
Works! Nice to have the Google dialer back... Local search and swipe up to answer. Hooray

After switching from my Nexus 6p, I can't tell you how many times I hung up on people with the default OnePlus App. I had to switch ASAP.
FYI you will lose service until you set the new phone app with all permissions and restart.. freaked me out for a moment lol

What? This has nothing to do with root.
You can't install any of this with just root. The framework has to be flashed with TWRP or the official Google Phone app will not allow you to install it. With or without root.
I am using Magisk and I'm rooted, and this works with all that and you still pass Safety net test.

That's nice to know, but I don't think my way is particularly harder or anything. Also, mine should auto update when Google pushes an update to the app through the play store, while the Magisk version will not.
I don't use call recording, so I don't really care about that.
I will add your way to the original post a little later, but I do prefer my way, because I prefer to get my updates directly from Google or APKMirror instead of hoping and waiting for an XDA member to update them for me.

Ah well, the Magisk version has both the app and the framework but you can actually install the updates through apkmirror too since the framework is there. It's just that it will stop working if you disable or remove the module from magisk.
Can you answer/reject calls from notification?
If we already flashed this mod can we use the migisk version?

[MAGISK] [MODULE] Force enable SRGB

I have created a magisk module which forces the display to sRGB when it's not available on certain custom roms.
This may work on other phones but it is of course complete untested.
Before anyone asks the reason for this module is because my banking app does not work with magisk manager installed which is needed to set sRGB in ex kernel manager etc.
just set magisk to hide root for the banking app, I had the same thing but it only blocked me from using the fingerprint sensor which I use to log in pretty much always.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Before or after flashing, do I need to do anything like under Live Display/Display Mode (it is set to disable all adjustments).
If not, it doesn't seem to work. The modules shows enabled in Magisk after a reboot, but the colors are incorrect.

Not sure I only tested it on my OP5 when I had it as some custom roms lack sRGB support and from memory I don't remember having to change anything.
You're welcome to hack it and get it to work btw.

The app I used to enable sRGB broke my banking app as it then detected magisk so I wrote the module in order to get sRGB working without affecting the banking app.

The path for the Oneplus 3T is different (or maybe it's different on RR, I don't know). Anyway, the path is:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/graphics/fb0/srgb
I've changed it in the post-fs-data.sh file and rezipped it. Testing now .
Edit: it works!

Question How to bypass blocked screenshot?

I tried to take a screenshot and was disallowed because the running app considered the information displayed to be private. I have the current Global OOS12 on my OnePlus 9 Pro with root. What screenshot tool can bypass this and allow me to take a screenshot anytime, even when a normal user would be prohibited?
Thanks
In magisk activate zygisk. Install the magisk module "zygisk-lsposed" (https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed/releases/download/v1.8.3/LSPosed-v1.8.3-6552-zygisk-release.zip).
In lsposed install the module "disable-flag_secure" (https://github.com/VarunS2002/Xpose...ad/2.0.0/Xposed-Disable-FLAG_SECURE_2.0.0.apk).
Take screenshot and enjoy.

Tried that. Makes no difference. What happens if you go into google play to the screen to update a credit card expiration date and then try to take a screenshot? (I am using this as a test of the module so when I hit an app that would block a screenshot I hope never to see the issue.)
This is what worked for me (based on the link below which lead me in the right direction):
How To Bypass A Screenshot Restriction From An Android App?
01. After root, with 'Magisk' & 'LSPosed Manager' already installed, download & install "Disable Flag Secure" apk module.
02. Reboot.
03. Launch LSPosed Manager.
a. tap Modules -> select Disable-FLAG_SECURE -> "Enable module" -> tick off "System Framework"
b. Go down the list until you locate the restrictive Android app and tick off its checkbox so that the 'Disable Flag Secure' can apply towards the app then back out to the "Modules" screen and exit LSPosed Manager.
04. Have fun!
What i always do when apps have screenshot restrictions, like my bank app, i record my homescreen and when playing video i take a screenshot. Don't have root.
Hey! taking screenshots worked with the module, but the screenshot is a Black screen ) :
so I'm confused
