Question How to use automate app to turn on AOD during notification? - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40
I am using the app automate in hopes of having the always on display turn on when I get a notification. Currently none of the scripts in the community work for poco f3/MIUI 12. Do any of you guys know a script that works?
Did you find an answer? I'm looking for a way to get notification light on LineageOS, I was liking the Always on breathing notification of MIUI.
I got it working with macrodroid, thanks to an old macro I've edited few months ago.
This is the code extracted from macro:

Thanks, good to hear you got it working.
How do you import this macro in macrodroid? I tried to save it as text file and also changed the extension to mdr but it fails to import it.
Is this format also compatible with the open source app 'Automation' or 'Easer'?

Search for "Selective Always on Display" in macrodroid example and import it (save).
Then edit apps list inside the macro, according to your needs
Thanks! That works great and smooth.
I tested it with telegram and works like a charm.
i found one glitch with telegram and k9-mail. When I look at the message from the desktop version (not touching my phone), the notification disappears on my phone but aod effectively stays on, screen does not go black until I unlock and relock my phone, after that screen is black. Gonna fiddle with that some more. Maybe i need to add a screen off or something to it.
Update:
I edited the macro a bit and splitted up some actions. Adding a turn screen off did not do it. I first had to turn on the screen and then turn it off. So now when I read a mail or message on my desktop, notifications on my phone are cleared, it disables aod, turns screen on and then off and my phone turns black.

TERMINATOR 4: SALVATION - a new notification style
Just inspirated by the first trailer of T4 www.terminatorsalvation.com (btw: who's afraid the next movie? ;-) ) I've made a new notification of message. It covers and manipulates of whole screen of any Windows Mobile device (PPC or Smartphone), no matter what is on the screen, at the moment when the new message received. I like the idea of this trailer, when title music and video frames, try to break our normally wathed screen. It's fun to have something similar in personal computer. To have some spice in mobile device. Of course, if we aren't afraid, this will happen in the future. For real. So, this notification replaces the default notification of message, in a style of the above T4 trailer. Several screen deformations and manipulations are built-in. Below screenshots are samples only. In reality, the smooth animation of visual effect is playing, together with the title sounds (music). { "lightbox_close": "Close", "lightbox_next": "Next", "lightbox_previous": "Previous", "lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.", "lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow", "lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow", "lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen", "lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails", "lightbox_download": "Download", "lightbox_share": "Share", "lightbox_zoom": "Zoom", "lightbox_new_window": "New window", "lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar" } It plays a sound, only when your Profile allows you, and the alerts volume is more than zero. Functions: You can switch directly from this notification to reply to the Sender of message: UP/DOWN KEY or TAP-MOVE vertically. You can switch directly from this notification to the Inbox: LEFT/RIGHT KEY or TAP-MOVE horizontally. You can play the notification again: ACTION. To close this notification: ANY OTHERS buttons, or just tap on the screen anywhere. Because of Warnerbros. copyright, I realized this version as freeware. And I have no deal with them. Another way, I think this is a good example, how the advertising could be positioned (placed) into mobile devices, without users action needs. This program (notification) user installs on your device, and that's all. There is no settings, no user-enable application, no dialog, nothing to use. Then user will not see any icon or running program. It displays on the screen, and become enabled, only when new message is incoming. Imagine, the top content of this notification could be downloaded from some network server, and automatically. What I have not included in this version.
Finally, it displays the last received message (scrolled up from the bottom of screen). In the background, it displays (some time) a Sender photo, if it's found in your Contacts. The above screenshot is just a sample, you will see there some photo from your Contact. And the text of message will scroll up from the bottom of screen, till a whole message will display.
Eeee... freeware files: http://www.jgui.net/t4.notification/T4.NOTIFICATION.SETUP.exe http://www.jgui.net/t4.notification/T4.NOTIFICATION.SETUP.cab (please do not copy theses files, only link to these url if you want) Due to reason of notification, it's recommended to install in main memory. This is alpha version, I just tested in a few devices a week only. I don't know if everything is fixed there now. Please try. Uninstaller is included. You cannot just break this notification. You have to unistall.
Choose which apps show up in Gallery sharing menu?
I will never use the Messages app to send a picture (yes, never. I don't have an SMS plan) so I'd like to be able to remove it from the sharing list from the Gallery. Is there any way to choose which apps show up in that sharing list? Thanks.

You could go into the Messaging App Info page, and Disable it. As a warning, though, Messaging is one of the core OS apps, and disabling it could possibly cause instability. I've never had any reason to try it, but just keep it in mind in case you have issues; you can always re-enable it.

Click to collapse Anything's possible; that could certainly happen. I don't see it as being a very widely anticipated feature, though. Just out of curiosity, I'm not sure if you noticed, but after you've used the sharing menu a few times, it shows only your top 3 apps (technically 2nd, 3rd, and 4th) that you've used for sharing, and then a "See All..." button below it. Also, your foremost sharing app will show up as an icon to the right of the sharing icon. Example below, with imgur, Messaging, Kik, and Gmail. { "lightbox_close": "Close", "lightbox_next": "Next", "lightbox_previous": "Previous", "lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Just use Quickpic is is really good. I use it as my main gallery. Also has the option to hide stuff.
Thanks for the ideas.
Verizon G4 Bugs & Glitches
Hey guys, I've had my phone for a day or so now and just wanted to list some bugs I've found and see if anyone else has experienced them. When hanging up a phone call my wallpaper is the application settings screen of a random app (reboot fixes) Sometimes the screen randomly turns itself on Sometimes after leaving an email (Touchdown Exchange mail) when I press back I am brought to the application settings screen of a random app When I get a notification and attempt to open it on the lockscreen the lockscreen becomes a rectangle about 3/4 the size of the screen which is empty and I need to swipe within that to open the app that the notification came from I will add more as I come across them but just wondering if anyone else has experienced those same bugs/glitches. Thanks!
Not a bug but I cant seem to hide folders in my gallery
Verizon g4 here, i have none of those problems except the last one i thought that was normal my g3 did that as well

I am having issues with my wifi. It will show connected, but will not connect to internet. If I turn off/on wifi, it will work again. I have tried on a airport extreme and anetgear extender. Same issue on both.
My screen is randomly turning itself on and off very quickly sometimes.
Number three is normal, it's the same on g3. Lg changed it from stick Android where a simple double tap would open the notification. However . If you excited the notifications first, then tapping it goes straight to the app, without swiping.
Hey Verizon people, are you all seeing - when using a lock screen setup (not just swipe) like knock code or pin or pattern - the ugly Emergency Call button? { "lightbox_close": "Close", "lightbox_next": "Next", "lightbox_previous": "Previous", "lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. I have Verizon and have the Emergency Call on mine as well.
This is going to sound weird but I hope someone can help. Only on my phone and only on WiFi i cant use Amazon. It shows no connection in the app and only lets me go to the sign on screen in the browser. Every other site is functional.
Push notifications not working/only working on Gmail and stock apps
So I've had this issue for as long as I can remember, the issue is simple to explain, basically for example if I'd get a message on Facebook messenger or WhatsApp the notification would never come up unless I actually opened the app, I always locked the apps in the task manager but that never seemed to help, also in battery options going to advanced I disabled auto cleaning for the apps I wanted notifications from, that having no effect whatsoever I'm coming here asking for your help, I think I'm running the chinese version of EUI 5.5.013s, and I read somewhere that the notification issue is fixed in the Indian version of EUI for the x800 which I can't find. Can anyone lend a hand? { "lightbox_close": "Close", "lightbox_next": "Next", "lightbox_previous": "Previous", "lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. I also have the same problem. For whatsapp messages, i need to open whatsapp in order to receive messages. I have been using this phone for almost 2 weeks now and i can honestly say it is the WORST phone i've had! bad camera, bad battery life and now late notifications.

Question Unable to change wallpaper after debloat
I recently debloated my new OnePlus 9 Pro. Everything seems to work fine (I did make sure to install replacement apps beforehand). However, today when I wanted to change the wallpaper (with a different "custom" photo), I noticed I can't do this any longer. Tapping on "album" (which is supposed to open a file picker where you browse to find a photo you want to use as a wallpaper) doesn't do anything: { "lightbox_close": "Close", "lightbox_next": "Next", "lightbox_previous": "Previous", "lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.", "lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow", "lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow", "lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen", "lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails", "lightbox_download": "Download", "lightbox_share": "Share", "lightbox_zoom": "Zoom", "lightbox_new_window": "New window", "lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar" } If I tap on the second icon shown above (Inventive wallpapers), it still works and opens to this, as usual: Here if I tap the second icon at the bottom, it will open the gallery app (I use the one from Simple Mobile Tools), where I can pick the photo. (However, I don't really want an "inventive" wallpaper.) I suppose this second one uses the correct function to call whatever gallery app is set up as the default. And the first one probably wants something else - I suppose either stock Google Photos or Files apps, which I removed. Any idea how to solve this without having to install those two back?
Found the culprit: While de-bloating, I also removed com.oneplus.gallery which is the stock OnePlus Photos (because I figured Simple Gallery Pro from Simple Mobile Tools would replace the need for that as well). So my assumption was right - the first icon calls directly this stock app, whereas the icon on the second screen finds the one gallery which is installed, or offers the choice to pick one, in case there are more installed.
