I honestly don't know what to do anymore :/ reading the forum oneplus said they would fix those issues in the next update and I have installed the newest software. Though they fixed the imei in this version
11.2.4.4.LE15BA
I have the same message about NV backup 2500 warning, it shows up every time the phone starts, quite annoying but 5g is working fine on my phone.
Just press "never show" button of the notification.

Hi everyone,
I seem to be facing a problem that I haven't found discussed here with my phone.
Following a successful upgrade to Slimbean 4.2.2 build 6 OFFICIAL, everything seems to be working correctly with my Tmobile UK SIM card and I can make or receive calls and texts, I can read the IMEI reference but for some reason my phone number is not displayed anymore in the "about phone" section in Settings or if I use an app like "SIM Card" to read the details of the SIM. I get instead the message "unknown number"
I am not sure if this is a problem or not, so I would like to know if anyone can think of any potential limitation due to this issue.
On top of this, I am about to move abroad and was going to request a code from Tmobile to unlock the phone as I assumed the phone was locked to their network, but when I tried a THREE SIM card, the card was actually accepted and I connected to that network but again the phone number is not displayed in the settings section...
Has anybody seen or heard a similar issue?
I installed a fresh Slimbean ROM from scratch as I was previously running a completely different ROM and I assume it was successful as everything seems to be working.
The only issues I could find in the forum were related to not being able to retrieve the IMEI number after the upgrade, but nothing about the phone number itself.
I would be very grateful if anyone could offer any help or suggestion.
Thank you in advance.
David.
I have noticed the same thing on the official CM 10.1 builds (with both Three UK and giffgaff SIMs), I suspect it is an issue but it's not a real bother to me all it means that any app that auto detects your phone number (eg hangouts) will just ask for it during initial setup instead.
Again the same for the IMEI sometimes this doesn't show up but it does most of the time.

Thanks Hydo1,
I have found a couple of things yesterday.
First, I have been able to add the number manually through the settings menu in the dial pad and it now shows in the "about" section.
Second, I have found out that although my voicemail is setup and active when I call the Tmobile services, it doesn't actually work anymore and I can only guess it is due to this issue as it was working before...
I'll try again once I have switched to a new network abroad...
Hi, I got my Butterfly 3 yesterday.
It had an old tampered (without "au" stuff) KDDI ROM that wouldn't update so I flashed to a more recent one, rooted, flashed the GPS fix and disabled/uninstalled all the "au" stuff. The phone is now working great except for a few things that are very annoying, and I'd like to know if the Taiwan version doesn't have the same problems:
1 - Can't seem to find a way to select 2G, 3G or 4G mode. My previous One M7 had that option under "mobile data". Here it's completely gone (what the hell? it's the first phone I've ever seen without this..).
This is especially bad because I can't seem to be able to enable LTE (the phone's bands are supported in my country). Since I can't try to force "4G only" in the phone, there's no way to know if there's a problem with my APN configuratin (which I had to input manually.. for the first time ever on a smartphone), if there's a problem with the antenna, or if my SIM card simply doesn't have 4G enabled. Does the Taiwan version have the "force 4G" option?
2 - I've added the country code to almost all my contacts (+351) in order to be able to call them whenever I was abroad. The phone won't detect any contact that has a "+" in the number, so the person's name doesn't appear. Same thing with SMS: if there's a "+" in the number, I can't reply to the sms or send new ones. Is there a way to overcome this with the KDDI ROM? Does the Taiwan ROM have this problem too?
I'm split between "upgrading" to the Taiwan Marshmallow or keeping the KDDI one.
To be honest, I'd rather stay with Lollypop if it means getting usable NFC. On the other hand, if the Taiwan ROM fixes the problems mentioned above then I'll say goodbye to NFC.
I fixed it by having two numbers on one person. So you got the number with the country code(+...) and the number without country code(for me: 06....).
As for the problem with the settings, I can't find it either :/
Maybe the option is just hidden away, but I never use mobile data.
I've been in your shoes

I'm in the states , but calling both and texts has been fine. (I had a damaged SIM couldn't send texts)
If you really want japan's au bloat that even with a pro root uninstaller still leaves grime just to keep NFC, I have a solution for you to get data.
P.S.You need root for any real fixes like this one
use es file explorer and turn on root read write permissions, it'll ask when you use the left side panel to access system directory.
Use search to find apn-config.xml
Replace file with one from cyanogenmod rom or any phone you have.
Data should now work. To fix SMS uninstall it, clear out its folder and install any HTC text messaging app and place apk in folder. (then clear cache)
Also, update as much as possible before rooting, b/c its a bootloader unlock and this phone has not bootloader update with marshmallow you can always root with twrp.
Private message me with any questions I'll respond asap. I'm no developer (despite my attempts linux hates me), but I know my way around the average android device and have kept up with everything for this one.
(Taiwan has no gps issues, uninstallable bloatware, nor apn/4g problems)

Are you absolutely sure that uninstalling sms.apk and clean the cache solved the problem for you. I tried that long time but didn't work for me. Which APK did you uninstall ? providers.apk, sms.apk or mms.apk ?
I don't have GPS, 4G issues on Japan version, the only problem is SMS "+" resolution.

OK, since Sept of this year, when I got my OP3, I keep loosing call service. Everything else works fine, data/txt/mms, but I can't make or receive calls. Only way to get call service back, is to reflash my phone. Also, I was in a chat with Cricket wireless CS and got to noticing my IMEI's were different. If I go into Settings > About phone > IMEI info, it gives me a set of 2 IMEI's for the two sim trays, but if I go into testing mode (*#*#4636#*#*), it shows completely different IMEI's, which are the same as what is on the sticker on the back of my phone. How can the phone/OS show two completely different sets of IMEI's ?
That's very strange...

Yes, very strange. And on top of that, this is my second OP3. I received a new replacement little over a month ago cause my first one kept loosing call service. Now this one is doing the same thing, I can prolly rule out hardware, so maybe something software related. Did not check if IMEI's were showing different on OOS, but on RR rom it is. May just go ahead and do a complete flash to stock with MSMdownload tool and see what it says with pure stock OOS. This is driving me crazy as I've never seen/heard of this before.
Ok, after restoring to pure stock, the IMEI's match in settings and testing mode, but when I flash RR rom, the IMEI's are different, wth?
Take a backup of your EFS partition before doing anything further, just in case.
You could flash the RR? ROM again then restore your EFS?
I own a Mi Max Helium and from the first day I use it with open bootloader and Custom Roms.
After 4 Weeks of using the strange things began:
- I lost network sometimes, but most of the times it was back in seconds. (once or twice a day)
- then randomly the MiMax said there is no sim card installed. Ok reboot phone and everything was okay. (once or twice a day)
- then it happened every hour
- and then sometimes after some hours or some minutes - not replicatable
- as a last step rebooting the phone doesn´t help. I have to kick out the Sim, wait some seconds and put it in again
Ok I thought it was a fault with the custom roms.
Made a real big factory reset with mi flash tool and cleaned the whole phone like a new device after the delivery.
After the first reboot it wasn´t able to find any simcard (IMEI und EFS was okay), so I thought phone or SimCard has a defect.
Took a simcard from my girlfriend - everything was working fine. Took my simcard in the MiMax and curiously everything was working fine
Flashed Xenon HD Custom Rom and everything worked well the last 4 Weeks and now the whole Sh*t begins again in the same way like described above.
Wtf is that behaviour? Can anybody report similar things?
Using SIM-Slot 1 or SIM-Slot 2 makes no difference. Its not logical or reproducible for me
T-Mobile? There has been reports not only fo Mi Max but One Plus X and some other Chinese brands killing particular tipes of T-Mobile sim cards by constantly trying to write on them. Sounds exactly what you are describing.
Solution is call T-Mobile, they know the issue and should replace sim card with the right tipe.

Interesting. No I´m using a german multiple provider called 1&1 and they use Vodafone D2 Network here.
They also use Telefonica (ePlus & O2), but the reason for that behaviour could be the same. I will call my provider and hope the know similar cases.
Thanks for the advice so far :good:
Well I share you problem I am.from Chile and this started to happen after updating to official ROM 8.2.3.0
I tried for months to find a fix but in the end I've noticed in my country all operators started using 4g band 28 (700mhz aggregation) band is not compatible with my Max prime (helium)
This doesn't explain why the card is lost until rebooting the Phone though.
A good thing is to set auto turn off in security app at 7:00am then enable auto turn on at 7:10 am this way your phone will work in the morning and not lose any important phone calls.
Check out this thread
Do you have any similar symptoms? Can you search for networks manually? I can't

Try cleaning the sim card with acetone.

Hello All,
It's been a while since I've been on XDA, and I recently upgraded from a Redmi Note 6 Pro to a Redmi Note 9T to take advantage of 5G.
So far I'm loving the phone, but there is one peculiarity, and that's noted in the subject. It seems to have appeared right after I issued the dialer code, *#*#86583#*#*, to enable VoLTE on my phone, which is a global model on which VoLTE comes disabled by default.
I cannot understand why Security is constantly flagging Data Roaming when it is already set to Never. I have been ignoring the message, but if there is a solution to make it stop I'd love to hear it. This is one I just have not had any success finding any good information on. I've never been in a situation where international data roaming could have come into play, and yet this warning persists.
Thanks in advance for any insights.
