i am a difficulty between sony and samsung.
Hi everyone, I'd like to share with you a video review I've made of the best compact devices of 2017, if not the best, our Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. I've owned the device for awhile before making this real-life review and I also had the previous 2 versions, the Z3C and Z5C.

Enjoy, thanks for watching & Happy Holidays!
IMO the XA1 Ultra is a pretty solid phone, but the 2016 XA series that launched on Marshmellow didn't get Nougat. However, the XA1 series was a pretty big step up with the Mediatek P20 being 16nm over 28nm of the P10. So I'm concerned if Sony/Mediatek will abandon the XA1 series after Oreo (which isn't getting Treble). And based on my browsing of this forum, the XA1 Ultra has 0 ROM support (which makes sense being MTK).
Since the XA2 series is confirmed to have Treble, does that mean Sony will give it 2-3 updates since they don't require new SoC binaries?
We don't know. It's getting 8 though
