All I can say is the option is there on the Xiaomi MI 10T LITE
It is right at the bottom of the developer options
Settings - additional settings - developer options
Enable developer options by keep tapping MIUI version in about phone

Lol the only thing this is missing is "turn your phone off". People are too damn fixated on getting 24 hours of SOT. How about just charging the phone? A battery pack is $10.

MIUI 10 - swipe up - enable Google-search instead of MIUI-search?

Since every aosp Rom (last was Pixel Experience) gets laggy after some time, I decided to go to miui again, since I never had lag problems with miui.
My GF's RN4 was faster than my RN5 running PE 9.0 so I said it's time for a change.
On miui I only hated the notification lag (or no notification at all) and the, for example reply in statusbar not working like in aosp.
So, since they changed it in miui 10.3 (maybe even before?), I was quite happy with almost everything.
What I am missing is the "swipe up" to Google search, or swipe right from home screen to Google search.
I managed to deactivate the App-Vault (swipe right from home) but I dont know, how to set Google search instead of that miui search at "swipe up from home screen".
Is there a chance to do it?
Or set Google search to "swipe right from home screen"?
I haven't found an option to change the swipe gestures.
I still miss some other stuff from aosp Roms, since they are all "Google based" but miui is miui and I guess you can't have everything.
I'm on Xiaomi.eu 10.3 MIUI, Magisk installed.
Thanks!
EDIT:
With Google search I meant the Google assistant / Google Now too. I mean, it's standard feature with aosp Roms so I guess you know what I mean.. The Google search with some news underneath the search bar.
Goggle feed is impossible to put in miui launcher
Somebody has manged to put in poco launcher but without solution

Aargh, too bad.
And is there a chance to disable that search or set anything else at that place?
That "feature" is just not necessary for me.
Actually you can enable swipe up to google search back. You just need to clear default of the mi browser in setting > installed apps > browser > clear default. You may notice that the browser doesn't have any default. Just tap on it and the swipe up gesture will open google search again.
How i notice this? Cause everytime there is mi browser update. The swipe up gesture revert back to that xiaomi browser.

Sadly not working for me.. Maybe you don't use the same version?
Also, another question.
If I flash global beta, am I going to get Google search?
If so, what are the benefits (if any) of global beta Rom if you compare it to Xiaomi.eu?
I think, Xiaomi.eu Roms are bit more optimized and debloated or?

Global beta is more stable than the stable channel (which i use currently - build 10.0.6). While there isn't any big difference between xiaomi.eu and global beta since they use the same build except for ads (which can be disable by unistalling msa apps with adb debloater). And yes, you get all google apps in global beta
Btw, can you clear default for google apps and google chrome to see if it working?

Nope, still not working.
Well I guess I have to live with it. It's not that big problem, since I can start the Google feed with the widget.
It would be good though, if you could disable the miui-search but if you have no idea how to do it, then it's alright..
thanks though!
Hey, I had the same problem and solved it! (sorry for digging up an 8 months old thread)
Get xiaomi debloater and uninstall Browser and Search (com.android.search), and voilá. At least it did work for me, on Mi 9, Xiaomi.EU rom.

actually You can enable swipe up google search if you r a root user..
you have to follow some step
step 1: reinstall the rom
step 2: root
step 3: immediately install lucky patcher
step 4: uninstall the system app browser
done!!
google swip up gesture will enable for forever until you reflash the rom.
if you follow step 3 and 4 now without reflash rom the swipe up gesture will show app not installed..
I done this before I am using swipe up google...

I tried to flash boot magisk_patched.img in fastboot to root the system , but after restart it returns again to recovery. Оf course, after it could not start, I got the system back with windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat and all system settings made before. Thanks for your work .
Sorry, I used magisk_patched.img from my old bootloader, now everything is fine I just repeated the procedure with magisk from your ROM.
is gauguin twrp out already? where can download? thanks
@ingbrzy - thanks for sharing. Two questions if I may
1. does this ROM support encryption?
2. what exactly do MIUI optimizations in developer settings do? The only difference I noticed so far is that in stock ROM I can't deactivate system notification with MIUI optimizations enabled. So wondering what's the benefit of this feature.
Source code link?
Thank you
Anybody know how to update Google Play System Update. Just tried to install Main Components downloaded at apkmirror but not allowed to update system apps.
Any way to update this manually ?
*Update*
found the answer myself
Just use Mixplorer app
@ingbrzy
i just updated from v12.0.6.0 to v12.0.7.0 with the update method you described (windows version)
Update seems to be flashed sucessfully and device is running so far.
At the update process there was an error with storsec.mbn (something like partition not found)
Is this something to worry about ?
*Update*
according to ingbrzy over at EU forums its not a problem ;-)

Question Bubble Notification on ColorOS OnePlus 9 Pro

Anyone here using the ColorOS on the 9 / 9 Pro ?
I have a problem with bubble notification which is not be able to enable from the settings.
Here's what I've tried
- Looking through all messenger's settings
- Looking through all notification settings, including apps
- Enabled Picture n picture and allow the apps to display over other apps
- ADB list the settings in global / secure / system and found notification_bubbles in the global but I tried put adb shell settings put global notification_bubbles 1 and no bubble.
Does anyone know how to enable the bubble or at least if unable, to report this bug to the Chinese ColorOS developers.
would be appreciated for your answer

is there a way to enable fingerprint to take photo

Mi 10T lite MIUI version 12.5.3. Is there a setting to use the fingerprint button to take a photo, if so how to do it please.
Thanks Graham
That was before on MIUI 11 tou can shoot with fingerprint, this was looks like:
Open the Camera app
Open the menu
Open the Settings
Enable or disable Fingerprint shutter..
Now on MIUI 12 there is no that options.
Or maybe they remove it on another place but I couldn't,find it.
Maybe on same custom rom you can find that.
Thanks, it is a shame it is not working for MIUI 12
