Introduction
We, the nexus7420 team, are proud to present you our unofficial AOKP for the Samsung Galaxy S6.
What is AOKP?
AOKP, short for Android Open Kang Project, is an open source replacement distribution for smartphones and tablet computers based on the Android mobile operating system.
You might be familiar with LineageOS / CyanogenMod. Both, CM and AOKP are based off AOSP (Android Open Source Project) but differ in many ways. I'd recommend just trying it out.

1. Download the ROM and push it to your device. "/sdcard" is a perfect place for this.
2. Boot into TWRP Recovery and perform a full wipe. Go to "wipe", "advanced wipe" and check everything except "Internal Storage".
3. Flash the ROM. Go to "Install", select the zip file and swipe to flash.
3.1 (Edge only): Select "Install Image" in TWRP and flash edgeKernel.img.
4. Flash GApps (optionally). Recommended -> OpenGapps arm64 7.1.1 ...
5. Enjoy!

Are you still releasing an edge fix?

This is by far the best Nougat ROM for the S6 so far and runs at 90%. The only reason I'm not using it right now is the lack of a camera.

Which version of Galaxy S6 is compatible with this ROM?

Right now only zerofltexx (G920I/F) but Edge support will be fixed in the next hrs.
Fingerprint will be fixed in next build.

are incalls working perfectly ?

Hi, thanks for the ROM - it's smooth as hell. Unfortunately incall sound is not fixed - first call worked fine, every other call is muted (I can't hear the other side). Reboot doesn't solve the issue.

Try a reboot. Because for everyone else, incall works fine.

Reboot doesnt fix the problem
and im not the only one who has this problem because in telegram group someone else mentioned this problem too.

I'll watch the incall issue as I was able to fix it by factors reset. I'll also try to attach the logcat if it reappears.

What is the "Last update 2017-02-05" ? Will there be in the future implemented multilingual settings, Rom Control, like in Ressurection Remix Unofficial Nougat from macs18max ?

Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.

Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.

I have been using RR on Redmi Note 4 (secondary mobile) since ages. Great Rom.
Now I am surely going to try it on RN8 and expecting a smoother experience with good speaker output

Resurrection Remix 10 Builds

When I try to transmit the screen, the phone restarts for bootanimation.

Hi there. First off, CONGRATS on such an awesome ROM! Havoc used to be my go-to but their latest release is already Android 11 and still needs some tinkering before it's ready for my personal taste. So I started using RR a couple of months ago and I came back to it recently and I love it! I love the custom colors, and how many choices there are with Style colors and fonts...I don't know why so many developers exclude these colors and fonts but anyhow, I'm all about Resurrection Remix these days. HOWEVER, I had the 202101xxx build installed and was notified that there was an update, 20210212, so I let my device update. Upon restart, everything crashed...hard. It first bootlooped and caught itself, recommending a Factory Reset or Try Again. I did the reset and I was stuck on a blank screen. I ended up using a combination of blankflash.bat, Motorola XML to Batch, manually upgrade to LMSA and I'm back on fully functional Android 10 stock ROM. Do you have anyone else that had this issue after doing the OTA update, or any idea what caused it? I want to go back to RR so bad but I don't want to go through blankflash and all that again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Again, thanks so much for sharing all of your hard work and making such an awesome ROM.

Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS), we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q-R with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device-specific repositories.
If there are any bugs we will sort them out if it concerns our codebase. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. NO
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but the discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. No
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache, and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
Using the ROM:
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. Do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section on the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android R. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM zip file.

64 MP will work only with a special magisk module and that too with specific Gcam. No Custom Rom supports it by default. To get it working ask in support telegram group.

Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Reporting Bugs

Mention any and all Magisk modules you might be using along with the Magisk version
