No way around it.
Although the unlock site is very buggy.
Many people get that message, but later are able to unlock.
I suggest running getvar all
Code:
fastboot getvar all
And then compare the cid code from getvar all, with the list of cids.
There's a link in my bootloader unlock thread.

No rooting Moto devices unless the bootloader is unlocked.

Hi all, I need to relock the bootloader, flashing back stock MM or LP didn't solve the issue for me, neither hard resetting, bootloader is still unlocked and the message appears on every start in the high left corner.
Can You help relock or it's impossible for now please?
It's not possible to relock once it's unlocked. It does tell you this when u unlock it.

thanks for the answer, I did not remember that message. Strange for me that noone found or searched a method to relock for selling the phone :good:
Getting it relocked is the only way to send it back for warranty claim. I wasn't able to get it recognized by my computer so that I can run fastboot comands on it - the right one is ./fastboot oem lock

Did you use the proper fastboot.exe? What OS is your computer? If it's windows try these.
It seems that in order to get fastboot operational, you need to have a working bootloader. So, after a couple (hundred) of tries - DO NOT FLASH KDZ (REFURBISH) your LG G4, it still boots once in a while and if it has your account and data and it will be faster to get to fastboot mode and get the bootloader locked again. Can somebody confirm that you can execute "fastboot oem lock" on an unlocked device? This will save us a lot of time trying to get the device to that state...
for me it is impossibile. If you have a g4 with bootloader locked and you doing fastboot oem unlock it says that it is no possibile...you must follow the instructions that lg provides with file unlock.bin
So is impossibile relock bootloader with fastboot oem lock...I hope that anyone find the way to do it...
Well unfortunately it is not posible to lock the bootloader via "fastboot oem lock" I'm waiting for user @warloxfre for some more info on his ideas (fingerscrossed)
This is my first OnePlus device so I'm a little confused. I've followed a bootloader unlock guide found here; however, it says my device will be wiped once it is unlocked. Problem is, the device isn't wiping so I can only assume it hasn't unlocked. Can someone point me to a guide that works?
I've already got my unlock_code.bin file from OnePlus and I flashed it before trying the unlock commands. Every command claimed to be successful; yet, there seem to be no changes whatsoever.
Try "fastboot oem device-info" without quotes, to get bootloader info. Should tell you if it's unlocked or not

unlock_code.bin
I remember my old HTC´s have unlock_code.bin but not OnePlus!
You are sure you flash unlock_code.bin???

I'll have a look at it after I get off work; but, yea, many of the guides I looked at previously said I had to get an unlock token file from OnePlus to unlock the bootloader. I used as to get the code and then used the site down below to get the unlock_code.bin file from OnePlus.
https://www.oneplus.com/unlock_token
Regardless, flashing that file not the "fastboot OEM unlock," or whatever the command is, worked and I'm certain my device is still locked.
First thing I did after work was to try and unlock it again. I'm not sure what happened or what I did differently, but it worked. Bootloader is unlocked and now I'm trying to figure out my next step.
So I successfully rooted phone, with TWRP, and Magisk. The only problem I'm having is 1) still getting safety net API error,
and
2) I don't know which command to use to relock the Boot loader.
It is likely that one will fix the other, or at least I think as Google is detecting my unlocked bootloader. I want to be able to re-un-lock it (I've been seeing forums filled people who can't unlock their bootloaders after locking it.

If your device is not 100% stock when you lock the bootloader it will not boot.

I have not seen this problem reported (much) as long as the device was full stock when relocked.
If your device is not 100% stock when you lock the bootloader it will not boot.

Thanks for that, So I managed to get it locked and got Google services and Pay working. With hide. (Small learning curve)

It seems to be a new problem. The the safety net check problem seems to be with magisk 22.1 (and 22.0 reportedly works but I'm too lazy to downgrade) as Hide works and I used alternative app to check safety net (SafetyNet Test) and it passed that. So everything is working as it should accept Magisk's internal safety net check tool.
Also, I finally learned how to add quotes, yay me!

Turned out it WAS the magisk build 22.1 was fixed now FOSS works. Thanks with the help about MagiskHide. Now I need a terminal emulator that requests root permission. Any suggestions?
I have two Z2 Force Sprint variants bought at the same time. One I had unlocked a long time ago with no issue, but I am trying to do the other one now and keep getting the error from Motorola's unlock tool saying 'your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking'. Anyone ever run into this issue or have any pointers that could help with this?

The moto site gives false responses like that very often.
Try a different browser, PC, or internet provider.

Yes I have seen others with issues and eventually getting through. Not sure if that's the case here or not. I have tried alternate browsers, systems, vpn's and the uk site. Even went as far as using the inspector to force the blue submit button to show up on the site. Always ends the same way though unfortunately.
No devs are showing any interest in this device, no unlock guide no twrp nothing yet? Is someone working on this or there won't be any support for this device on xda?

werid. I've got "Unlock OEM" ungreyed, it seems like my Motorola g60s have bootloader unlocked. I can install custom ROM. Also if someone would help me compile it - I can go for it
