[Q] ARC camera resolution

Hello everyone!
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson Arc and the images taken by its camera look pretty good on the phone it self, but wen it comes to downloading them on PC the results are quite unexpected. the image resolution is poor 400xXXX pixels or less and size is about 600kb (same shown in astro file explorer) although its taken on 8mpx settings and same with using HDR camera. I use universal android suit (i dont know maybe i need original sofware?) The question is how do I fix that Resolution problem? what settings and where? pls help

i don't believe hdr camera supports full resolution even if it claims it. Take a picture with the stock camera and check the resolution on that. What's universal Android suit?

HDR camera does support full resolution, I have taking several pictures with both SE camera app, HDR camera and Vignette all at 8MP and compared them with 100-200% magnification, the resolution on each is exactly the same, there is absolute no difference in the details recorded.
HDR camera does after combining three pictures increase color saturation and contrast for the whole picture and fine details. This makes the pictures look like they have more details but up close it is easy to see the same amount of details and same pixel sizes.
I have decided to uninstall Vignette as it add some very weird "pixel curtain" all over the pictures which initially gives it a larger file size as it add additional pixels which is not supposed to be there. This could give the wrong impression that it contains more details which is not the case.

GCmod for honor 8 pro

I somehow managed to get a working(not fully) gcam mod for honor 8 pro with hdr+ processing. The problem is the pics taken are blueish and lack warmth in them. Also low light photos have lots of noise. This gcam mod is for exenos devices so I thought of trying it in our device. And front camera is broken too.
Here is the link::::-

Is there any developer who can fix some issues in it.
Photo sample attached
gcam needs Heaxgon Dsp from Snapdragon , so its impossible to work with a kirin device. That's probably the issue. That's why image processing is bad. The algorithm isn't running well
At least its working
The image processing is better than huawei stock app.. the problem is the blueish colour. It just looks like a raw image. I used snapseed to edit the photos and they turned out very good.
I have attached both edited and non edited photos

43MP RAW photo and 32MP front pic.

Hey guys, I found a way to take a 48MP photo with raw. It's very simple.
1- get the app on play store named " Footej Camera"
2- open the app
3- slide to left and go to "RAW" option
4- if you wanna know the resolution just go on the gear top left, go to photo, and resolution. The back camera gets 48MP and the front one gets 32MP.
It's a very nice app, and if you are like me and like to take long exposure photos in the app the iso option it's higher than on official camera app.
Cool! How about Open Camera? I think that can do more tricks ...
How about the quality of the pictures .. cause i'm using GCam and works perfecly fine

Thank you for the raw photos.
From analysis, the DNG files have a lot of color noise and purple fringing on the shadows.
These are not good at all for a 48mpx sensor with pixel binning.
Would you be able to use a Gcam apk and take a few DNG raw photos as well ?
I know that gcam does some processing with the raw files.
Obrigado

[Mi 10T Pro] 108 Mpx pictures: are they a real thing?

I would like to know whether 108 Mpx photos can actually be shot.
If so, with stock camera or what?
What about actual resolution?
TiA.
Yes you can in the stock camera app but the images are 4:1 pixel binned to 27mb.
Not sure I understand you ... Is the 108 Mpx camera capturing 108 Mpx ?
Just took a photo on the Xiaomi stock camera, 108 mode, and it's 108.6MP 9024x12032. So I seem to get 108MP ok.
If you take a photo in normal mode on the stock camera or us a GCam version then you get around 27MP.

I've just taken a non pro mode 108mp shot (Mi10T Pro) and it comes back as 9.08mb 9024x1232px
On pro mode it is 10.89mb 9024x12032px
In RAW i get 54.33mb 6016x4512mp
How are you getting 108mp shots that are not binned down?
To get 108MP: Xiaomi.EU 12.6, stock Xiaomi camera 4.3 on Mi10T Pro
On stock camera, select More then 108. 108M comes up above the shutter button and it takes 108MP pictures in .HEIC format.
One of my 108MP photos is 9.76MB in size and 9024x12032 pixels. Your file size seems about right. could you be missing one 0 in your pixel count (12032 vs 1232)?

Excessive Photo Size

Using @Simon1511 Lineage OS 20 build for the Samsung Galaxy A52 4G, photos taken on the phone using the default camera app are huge. Every photo taken with the 64 MP back camera is exactly 73.22 MB large, whereas every photo taken with the 32 MP front camera is exactly 47.94 MP large. This problem only affects the aforementioned cameras, the Macro, Depth, and Wide-angle cameras take normal size photos, and every image has a slightly different size, as they should be. I tried using the Open Camera app to see if there was a difference, but no, every photo taken with the 64 MP back camera in this app is exactly 96.22 MB large. I hope a Lineage OS developer can fix this, but currently I am using the Open Camera app over Aperature, the default app, simply because Open Camera let's users choose the size of photos (in MP) they take.
Notice how few settings there are for photos with the default app, vs how many options Open Camera has in the "Photo settings" section of it's settings. Lineage OS developers should add more options, isn't Lineage OS about having more control over your device? Settings aside, I hope they figure out why these photos I take are huge!
Update:
I just noticed that PNG photos I take with Open Camera are normal sizes (~5 times smaller than the JPEG ones, and look even better) and varied, unlike the JPEG ones. Maybe the root of the problem is that the OS doesn't use JPEG compression properly?
