Looking for R835F/R835U FT55 Firmware to change CSC - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hi guys,
I want to change my GWA2 40mm LTE (Unlocked) US (R835U) Tizen 5.5.0.1 CSC to something working in Canada. In the first step, I need the firmware files. I appreciate it if someone could share them with me and other users. An expert member told me that I need the following files:
COMBINATION-FT55_R835USQU1ATK1 (https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=313912)
or
COMBINATION-FT55_R835USQU1ATJ1 (https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=308035)
I'm also not sure whether I will need the "R835FXXU1BTJ1_Tizen_4File_Canada (OYV)" as well or not later. (https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=327323)
Thank you.

Product Name you should see SM-R835US instead SM-R835FS

To see as final result:

Then chance to have valid FOTA chain for updates over the air...
Combination Firmware is step 1.
Step 2...

You need Stock Firmware for Region with Cannada...

So if I've understand well, step 1 is finding "COMBINATION-FT55_R835USQU1ATK1".
I attached my watch download screen.
@manikar has installed Canadian firmware on R825U (44mm US) before. I'm not sure how he has done that. His post is on May 2020, so it should be FT40.

Looking stock firmware for SM-R805F

Hi everyone,
I just recently got a SM-R805N (Korea LTE ver) and want to change its region.
However the CSC variants in the stock only contains Korea telecom (as mentioned in the CSC thread by ecoco1)
I am trying to use the old fashion way: flash in the combination firmware, switch the CSC and then flash back to stock, in which, the CSC I am looking for is in SM-R805F version
However, I cannot find any free source for SM-R805F firmware online... all those available , also in this XDA forum, is only for bluetooth version.
Would anyone in XDA able to source the R805F firmware? (best to have both combination & stock?)
Thanks a million

Thanks adfree, but its too late... I have already bricked my brand new galaxy watch...
Now the watch wont go into any mode below. All it does is have a flash of horizontally line screen, consistently.
continue
factory command
recovery
download (wireless)
Tried the method "press 2 seconds, release 1 second" does not work, think it corrupted the partition.
Only mode still work is "download" which shows the screen correctly. What make it worse is I reset the watch before doing this and forget to turn off activation lock (but I have my own user name and password, think that does not make it worse then?)
Appreciate if any idea on how to tackle this... am already thinking about buying the usb connector for odin flash...(hopefully something will make it work again...)
Suggestion, if you want try it self at home....
Look into this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78545468&postcount=74
Look into Video...
You can also click around this Thread... to see diffferent "solutions"...
Security prevent netOdin use... IMHO no way without USB to flash again.
If you have POGO Connector... Odin...
Then try FIRST to flash SM-R805N...
I see at this time it is not leaked...
So you need luck to flash SM-R805N Firmware...
Hopefully Warranty Void will still:
0 0x0000
Seems 3 SM-R805N Stock Firmware leaked:
Code:
R805NKOU1ARK8
R805NKOU1ARJ6
R805NKOU1ARHJ
You can PM me... if you need Help with POGO...

anything else would i need?

Thank you @deadman96385 for the firmware
Hi adfree, here is the photo of the "Download" screen
Now i need to get my hand on the cable to try it out...
Thanx for Photo. :good:
Good:
A
SM-R805N to see...
So sboot.bin is not overwritten...
B
Warranty void still 0 0x0000
So Knox not dripped... BUT you have to wait for final result after Repair Flash...
Not so good = IMHO bad...
Reactivation Lock is ON...
This means MORE f&%ing Security...
As "we" have only Stock Firmware...
If no luck then also Warranty Void Value will change... maybe.
P.S...
partition.pit aka PIT is 1:1 same between SM-R805F and SM-R805N... except the RSA 2048 Signature crap at the end of file.
Best Regards

My Galaxy is back alive! Thanks everyone in this thread. Tested the following:
Install R805N firmware: Download mode: Works
Install R805F firmware:
Download mode: PIT fail instantly, without install
Download (Wireless): Able to complete the install -> Fail warning in red -> Bricked
Tried for combination firmware, or CSC only, same result
Guess I will never have chance to change my CSC then...? (Unless there is a combination R805N available which has all CSC countries inside?)

I changed my CSC to Australia to get the Samsung Pay but this disabled VoLTE on my watch. I m now not able to call or receive any calls. I m from India. Watch was originally purchased in Australia.

After downgrade and changing the region to enable Samsung pay.
If I again update to the latest firmware version will the Samsung pay still be there?
Yes, if you changed the CSC to get Samsung Pay, it will still be there after an update. As far as I know, the availability of Samsung Pay is CSC bound, not firmware bound.

Then it seems OXA region.

What downgrade do I have to do?
You need to downgrade to any firmware older than DSL1 with NetOdin, as described elsewhere on this forum. Then changing the CSC will work.
Hi. I have the same problem. I'm now going to downgrade with the procedure in this topic.
I just have a doubt about which firmware I should use. This are my current info:

Tizen: 4.0.0.7
Current FW: R800XXU1DSL1
Knox: 2.4.0
Bought on USA
Need to enable Samsung Pay in Brazil (I believe need to be changed to ZTO)
Can someone please which firmware I should try? First and second options?
Thanks.

Phones have USB cable for Emergency Flashing.
Samsung Watches is bigger problem if you kill the """WiFi Security chain"""...
You have not USB cable for easy second attempt.
And the LTE Watches makes more trouble... if you doing something wrong or simple out of luck.
You asked about worst case...

Hi, I have SM-R805F bought in Czech rep. Can I use these instructions for downgrade my firmware to change my region (I want Samsung Pay)? I have saved my eSIM in my watches now - after flashning it will stay there or will be deleted? Thanks a lot
@ohajo3
Yes you can. Do not reset networks after flash during setup. Esim will stay.
I changed my CSC to Australia to get the Samsung Pay but this disabled VoLTE on my watch. I m now not able to call or receive any calls. I m from India. Watch was originally purchased in Australia.

@madono
You wish to have India INU?
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/INU/SM-R805F/version.test.xml
IMHO seems INU require OXX package...
Here are 2 OXX packages:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79644543&postcount=1
According to DBT list... they are before Tizen 4.0.0.7
So please try these 2 firmwares... with the old method to change CSC...
So IMHO no Combination Firmware required...
Only downgrade...

Sorry, my fault...

Oh, totally forgotten...
Latest FTC1 for OXX region is here:

@adfree Thanks for the links! I m downloading it right now. Speed is slow, not sure if I will be able to download it in one go. Is there any expiry for this download link? If I m not able to download today, will try tomorrow again.
Another question for downgrade, do I have to choose all four files , namely, BL, AP, CP, CSC to downgrade?
I have not done a galaxy watch downgrade before so wanted to be sure not to mess it.
I actually wanted to have Samsung Pay and LTE enabled. It was working fine using Australia CSC code but my Phone operator recently changed calling only on VoLTE. So i was not able to receive calls or call anyone. Only internet was working using AU CSC.
Now it seems I have to choose between calling and Samsung Pay. SP is not officially launched on Galaxy Watch in India. Only on smartphone it is allowed. Not sure why.
Thank you once again!
Regards,
madono
Hi @adfree,
I downloaded the firmware from the link. Today was bit hard day at work so not trying to update watch.
Will try it out with fresh mind tomorrow. Just need couple of things cleared before I try it.
1. In firmware download steps, it is mentioned to only use BL, AP, CSC file?
Downloaded rar has 4 files. Is this fine?
And final one this is my current watch status
AP : R805FXXU1FSL4
CP: R805FXXU1FSL4
CSC: R805FOXX1FSL4
Watch is LTE model.
I m good to go ahead with said firmware?
@adfree please review, don't want to mess this one. I know there is always risk but want to use correct firmware.
Thanks for the help!

Now is up to you to manage.
IMHO I gave you all infos + files + links...
Please mercy... I have not unlimited time and energy...

Hi @adfree ,
Sorry for bothering you. I miss understood your previous post.
Thank you for all the help!!

Hi ,
Finally was able to downgrade to 4.0.0.4 and watch did not explode
This link has 4.0.0.7
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...7&postcount=55
After download I was still on 4.0.0.7 and looks like my CSC was still pointing to AU
I used this link to downgrade : https://www.file-upload.net/download...E3_OXX.7z.html
Then SDB command to change CSC from AU to India
Thanks to @adfree
One thing I observed that my eSIM was not reset. I was expecting it will be removed when I downgrade. Looks like it is left alone in this process.
Not sure if there is any way to enable Samsung Pay without changing CSC. Missing SP very much in current time.

Did I correct understand:
To change CSC by old method (with SDB) it is needed:
1. Flash with Odin all 4 files (early Firmware)
2. Change CSC with SDB
3. Install Samsung Pay
4. Flash with Odin all 4 files (latest firmware) back to FSL4
and Samsung Pay will stay?

+1, same question
It makes sense to differ between LTE crap like SM-R825F and so on...
And BT only crap... SM-R820 blabla...
Because BT only devices are easier to handle... :good: :good:
If you have SM-R820 or SM-R830... and you are on CTI4... you can use also my rooted files... to get ROOT access.
This is the whole magic...
You need ROOT.
This is why we flash Combination Firmware, because ROOT access inside.
CTI4 Root for SM-R820:

Its natural response from your antivirus/antimalware software. After all this is considered for them "hacking tool" nevertheless...our dear friend @adfree wouldn't have any reason to try and infect anyone...for what?? just think his timeless efforts of hard working to get this tool ready for you, FREE of charge to use.....sometimes comments like this leave me speechless...but i think its about time for everyone, to speak freely how they consider appropriate...
This has got lost in interpretation. No comment on adfree or anyone else who I know how much effort they put in and are such great helps to us all. Sorry if this is how it was received. My comment is the frustration of not being able to download because keep getting blocked and cannot turn off because of company policy... Sorry again

Dear friend
Could you please tell me If we some day want to roll back, can we? unroot posable or not? And how?
As you know in the samsung phones root will trip knox and binary changed and even flashing official firmware can not fixed it and we never can use samsung pay or secure folder!
Sorry for bad english
@hamid.seyedani
Warranty Void 0 0x0000 aka Knox untouched.
So Samsung Pay will still work...
Unroot... easiest way IMHO to flash Stock Firmware of your Choice...
Then also FOTA update method enabled again...
Best Regards
Don't want to brick again
l did the following steps to change CSC
thanks @adfree for procedure this part worked ..
Rooted files for SM-R820 CTI4 (Tizen 5.5.0.1)
Round 1.
With netOdin
Combination Firmware RAMDISK from SM-R500 to disable Security checks...
Code:
ramdisk_only_smR500_ASL2_FT40.tar
Round 2.
With netOdin
Code:
2020_October_smR820_CTI4_ROOT_v1.tar
Was successfull thanks @adfree in rooting my device then tried to change CSC as follows:
Afer device restart regularly
Connect watch to wifi and with sdb did the following:
sdb connect
sdb root on
sdb shell
sdb pull /csa/csc/csc-active-customer.inf
sdb pull /csa/imei/prodcode.dat
edit /csa/csc/csc-active-customer.inf and replace csc code (I entered KOO )
edit /csa/imei/prodcode.dat and replace last three characters to csc code you want
sdb push /csa/csc/csc-active-customer.inf
sdb push /csa/imei/prodcode.dat
reboot the device
run netodin again and select AP, BL and CSC to flash stock used stock rom R820XXU1CTI4
In the end watch rebooted instead of csc being KOO Korea csc was Singapore
Watch working fine not bricked second time but wrong csc...https://forum.xda-cdn.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
I think error is did not flash into recovery at two stages at before root stage and after changing csc and when reflashed stock rom am I correct?
Hello All,
I would like to be sure and don't brick my device.
I have BT SM-R820 currenty running R820XXU1CTJ5 with XAR CCS (changed in the past). Getting updates, SPay and ECG working, everything smooth.... except BP with lates updates.
Because of BP was kinda "disabled" for XAR I would like to move to BTU (UK) CCS. What I read about that it should do the trick because XAR is only problematic version.
Is it safe to use any older combination firmware to make the CCS chnage in general? Or it's being checked somehow?
If not is there a way for R820XXU1CTJ5 FW yet?
Thnaks a lot.
