Audio still on speaker with connected Bluetooth A2DP sink - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017) Questions & Answe

Hi All,
Even though I have a Bluetooth A2DP sink (a DAC) connected for media audio, my SM-320FL running current Android 8 Oreo stock ROM (XEU) still uses built-in loudspeaker, e.g. when using Youtube or Youtube music. Enabling the Samsung Separate Sound App feature and configuring Youtube app to send its audio to that sink there is the only way I've managed to force the audio there so far. So the feeling is that the OS won't treat connected sink as a higher priority audio destination. What might be the reasons? I have another 2 such phones (all 3 bought used in the UK), one at the current BTU and the other one at a rather old EVR as it's rooted and so won't autoupdate, and neither of them has such issue.
Many thanks in anticipation!

is my P3300 actually A2DP compatible?

Heya,
for a long time i have been looking for some decent bluetooth stereo headset.
now it has come down to two models. well, actually one only
my choice: motorola s9
and the second possibility: Motorola T820
from reading the comments on amazon on those devices i realize that my phone needs to be A2DP compatible to get the best sound out of the headset.
i use s2p as music player and i know it is A2DP compatible... but is real question is: is my phone (HTC P3300 WM6) compatible with this tecnology
also: if you can suggest any other good headsets, please do so.
key features i seek:
- able to use on my phone and pc
- a2dp
- good sound and microphone quality
a2dp not working
Hi,
I have HTC artemis. I recently purchased wireless bluetooth stereo headsets (Jabra bt325)
I cannot connect it to use as wireless stereo. Its working fine as handsfree. After pairing, I cannot see wireless stereo option. Its Greyed. I know that artemis is A2DP compatible.
But i am sure that headset is fine because I tested it with n95 and it worked fine.
Please give me a solution.
Try this:
Start - settings - connections - bluetooth - and add new device
If your headset is already added, use your stylus and press on the bluetooth headset name until the following menu comes up:
Edit
Delete
Set as Hands-free
Set as Wireless Stereo
Choose no. 4
yes it is.
I'm using Dopod M700 which is the P3300 w/o the GPS module.
It works with dell BH200 BT stereo headset and also the o2 BT stereo earphones.
It works on joint stereo in WM5 and since its now running WM6.1 its real stereo.
Dell BH200
Hi thanks for the suggestion even after setting the Bluetoot head set as "set as Handsfree" it did not work, as soon as I receive or make a call the head set goes off, looks like its some compatibility with A2DP not sure, if some one has done some development or found a patch to make this work would be a great help

might be a specific problem of your headset model.
i use a motorola s9 and it's quite nice. fits nice, does not disturb after hours, controls work fine, calling works fine...
BUT (and there's always a but) it has some major drawbacks i found out. while it's still nice to listen music without wires, i encounter this problems. which MIGHT be due the phone, not the headset... but i have no way to test that.
so, basicly, P3300 + motorola S9 through A2DP:
- insides works like a charm. phone in my belt, headset on. music cuality nice with some small music interrupts every now and then (maybe once per 5 minutes). phone calls nice and i can hear and they can listen me well.
but my oh my when i get on the street...
- constant music interrupts every 15 seconds. i have hang the phone around my neck so it's where my chest is to not get interrupts so often (still get one every 2-3 minutes)
- as the mic is where the ear is, if i have a call, it's impossible to hear me due the background noise. this also applies to the underground/metro. it's not that bad in a bus
and well. without A2DP enabled my music player uses so little resources the phone still works fine...
if A2DP is enabled, the phone gets REAL slow and the battery drain is MASSIVE.
when this motorola S9 break... i'll get another model to test. and when that breaks i'll probably get back to some nice wired ones (unless the CPU issues and the battery drain on the phone gets solved) ... but maybe i actually change the phone before that happens. who knows.

Not Work Bluetooth Protocols: HFP, HSP

I use this headphones + CyanogenMOD 7.1, but not work microphone/audio if call my friends.
- Work listening music
- Not work listening audio and speak if call. Bluetooth button is disabled on calls.
WARNING: Microphone and audio work: i use it on my archlinux (linux distro).
BeeWi use this protocols: HFP, HSP, A2DP, AVRCP
HFP, HSP is disabled/unsupported on kernel?
I have the same issue with my HTC Desire with AKG K830BT headphones.
I tried different ROMs both GB and ICS (even stock). I currently use latest MIUI
Audio playback (Music) works.
In phone calls i cannot hear the other side, and the other side cannot hear me.
Please let me know if there is anything i can check to assist with solving this.
It's ok guys. Today is Oct 4 2014. I have Wildfire S powered with CM 10. Problems are exactly same - i can't use BT headsets and car BT handsfree units to make/answer calls 'cause sound is jammed I think CM developers are not like BT headsets.
There is information
"HSP logic is not implemented anywhere at the moment. The idea is to create another daemon to do so, since none of the projects already involved (BlueZ, oFono and PulseAudio) thinks that logic bits fits into its role. "
I think it is free soft idea grand fail .

Bluetooth mic not working

Hello everyone,
I paired my LG Tone HBS-700 with the Nexus 7. Audio works flawlessly but when it comes to microphone ...
When making a call in Skype or Viber I can't get the mic on the bluetooth headset to work. I can only hear audio. The mic on the tablet works fine but hey I bought a bluetooth headset to get away from the tablet and relax on the bed.
Any solutions?
I think this is known. Corded headset with mic doesn't work either.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I've griped on end over this and searched so I'll save you some time. It seems no app except for grooveip works with bluetooth recording. I haven't tried grooveip myself but others say it definitely works. If it wasn't for grooveip, I would suspect the proper audio profile isn't there in the nexus 7. I wish a dev could confirm this. I wouldn't have thought bluetooth mics would be a big thing. In my ignorance I assumed it would become your 'sound device' when paired and any app that attempted to record/capture audio would be re-routed to the bluetooth device. If it is a matter of apps being properly coded, maybe we'll have I dunno, 4 or 5 apps that work properly with bluetooth in a couple of years.
Yeah I'm being a little cynical but I was surprised how poor bluetooth support is when it doesn't seem to be the case on the bb/ipad side. The other disappointment with bluetooth is audio sync with gaming. So travelling and I feel like gaming I have to switch to a wired headset. I read it's an issue with bluetooth itself, but confirmed with a couple of friends the sync issue doesn't happen on playback or ipad.
Just to add it's not just gaming. Basically you'll only have audio sync with movies that are hardware decoded (e.g. when using google's movie player or youtube app), but try and play an xvid etc. So I think you'll find audio playback isn't flawless either.

[BUG] Bluetooth music audio stuttering/skipping after Nougat upgrade on Lenovo P2A42

Hi,
This is a very annoying thing I am facing as I am an avid music listener and I love to listen to music in my wire free bluetooth headphone.
Everything was working fine until I upgraded to the official Nougat version from Marshmallow in my Lenovo p2 32GB/4GB.
The audio keeps stuttering and skipping for some mili secs every now and then while listening to music.
I have tested my bluetooth headphone with three other devices and it is working fine with them. I have also tested it two different music player : Google play music and pulsar plus. Both the cases the same problem is happening.
I did a factory reset also but that did not prevent the problem.
Also whenever I am connecting my blutooth headphone, the volume is automatically set to the highest.
Tried to unpair/pair my bluetooth device also, no luck.
The stuttering problem is not happening when I am playing video file via MX player with my bluetooth headphone or while listening to music with a wired headphone.
I took logs from developers setting dated 07/04/2017 :
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5ucK93ckWnBTUZqZkhUVF9GWEE --> Btsnoop_hci.log
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5ucK93ckWnBdEdKMUJTODRGdk0 --> Interective Bug Report.
Please let me know with a definite solution. This is making my life live harder with P2.
Regards,
Krishnendu
I have same problem with MM and now(with nougat) that 's better, all work fine but when i connect my headphone the sound is at minimum and i must turn volume higher manually on the phone but after, no problem!

Audio dropouts in Mxplayer caused by blitzer.de app

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this, but since I presume the problem to be with the blitzer.de app (which is a radar warner) I figured I'd put it in the car section. Sorry if I figured wrong.
My phone (galaxy s8 unrooted stock rom) connects to my car's head unit via bluetooth for hfp and to another bluetooth device connected to the head unit's aux via aptx (hd or ll not sure right now).
The phone automatically starts the radar warner (blitzer.de) as soon as it connects to the hfp bluetooth (a built in feature of the app). However the radar warner itself is configured to use the phone's speakers. This setup works pretty nicely in most cases.
On my commute to work I like playing videos in the background using mxplayer (pro version) (audio output via bluetooth aptx, as described above). Somehow here and there the audio of the show I'm "watching" goes mute for about five to ten seconds sometimes. It does not make a difference, if the video is in the background or not. These issues usually do not coincide with announcements from the blitzer.de app. I'm only drawing this connection since this behavior only occurs in my car. Other apps like Poweramp and Spotify aren't affected as far as I can tell.
This has been driving me mad for months, so I thought I'd ask the pros
Any help is appreciated.
I have to redeem the Blitzer.de app. The problem occurs when it is not running aswell. I would change the title, but I couldn't figure out how to.
I think I found the culprit. I had Bluetooth Volume Control installed in order for the phone to remember the volume for different bt devices. Since I uninstalled it, the issue is gone. And since this feature is now integrated into Android Pie, i don't need the app to begin with.
The issue occured again today. So it was not caused by the Bluetooth Volume Control app either.
