Hi, I until recently I had Xiaomi Note 6 Pro, great phone and it was the global version I believe, one of the many thing I liked was the fact that it had Call recorder built in, and meant that I could record all my phone calls in and out and set to automatically record, I found this very useful as my hearing is not the best and it enabled me to play back the call so that I could clarify the conversation.
I now own Mi 10T lite, great phone and I am mostly pleased with it, but I can't record my calls, I purchased it via Xiaomi Uk (I am in the UK) I read somewhere that the EU had banned the recording of calls (or something like that)
So has anyone got any Ideas how I can get this phone to record calls, I don't want to root the phone or load any other Roms, I am wishing to keep the phone as it was delivered, happy to use an app, providing it can be set to record all.
Your help would be great, Thanks

Hi Graham, I have Mi 10T lite 5g on Three in UK. Not rooted. I am using Cube ACR free version, installed using defaults and it works well. It also manages to link the calling number to my contacts (with permission). The caller is a bit quieter than my side of conversation but loud enough when replaying. I used Cube on my last 3 Xiaomi phones, one rooted two not rooted. It worked on all three.

Thank you for the info, I will give it a try, and it is good to hear you have it working well with the M10T Lite, I really liked the way the Xiaomi Note 6 pro, had it integrated in the system, everything about it was simple, but I will give the Cube ACR a try thanks.
I would still be interested to hear what other people may be using as well, thanks

Hi!
I have a question if its possible to record incoming and outgoing calls on the Desire.
+1 !!!!
2-way phone recording need very much!
Dear All:
001.
Anybody has any positive experience with Ultimate Voice Recorder running on the HTC Desire (in the field of calls recording)?
002.
UVR on N1 seems to have problems with recording of the second party's voice, but on the US market this can actually be an "intentional" configuration/setup of the device.
003.
If same issues are present on the Desire how likely it is to get "fix" like the 2WayRecording? I have successfully used it on my TYTN2 together with Resco Audio Recorder to alleviate second party's voice recording issues.
+1 !!!!

any solution?
Desire and Ultimate Voice Recorder 2.3.4
Hi,
an "In Call Recording function" would be nice to have. I partially was succesful with the Ultimate Voice Recorder 2.3.4 which was able to record the remote person very silent, but still recognizable.
Same problems as I had with Windows Mobile 6: I used to have a T-Mobile Ameo (HTC Advantage x7501, Code name Athena) which would only record the other side's person in speaker mode.
More or less bad luck until now, as I expected Android-devices being superiour in this matter!
Greetings.
shame this, my c905 did it out of the box flawlessly
Hy guys, I just installed on my Desire (Android 2.1) something from the market called vRecoreder.
Used it once running in the background and it recorded my conversation (the recorded volume is kind low, but you understand).
Give it a try.
ps: had to uninstall all my call voice recorders that run in the background.

Update: it records .3gpp (hence the bad quality i think) and aparently records only incoming calls. Must test more though.
Two ways call recording is depending upon hardware construction same like wm and symbian. For example if wm, Asus and Samsung can but HTC cannot, whereas if in symbian case, Nokia can but Samsung cannot. This conclusion comes from my long experience with the aforementioned mobile phones. Have not tested with Garmin Asus android yet as it is not available in my market but believe this one can.

I'm sorry, but I have an exception on that theory right here.
My Touch Diamond wouldn't do a two way recording whatever I tried. Until I switched to a custom (WM6.5.1) ROM, there it worked fine. So no hardware issue, it was a ROM issue.

I second this, as in a few Win Mobile threads discussed (no link at hand, sorry) there are registry values to be manipulated for successful two-way-voice recording. As far as I remember Microsoft and HTC stated that being NOT possible to record 2-way (without speaker mode), were hardware (design!) related facts and decisions made - until someone figured it out otherwise, by accident! (As a prior Win Mobile user: praise him!)
Not being able to record calls in Android phones is really sad.
The Palm system was able to do it from day one.
In fact the largest selling single piece of software for a smart phone ever is
Qmobilsoft's "Callrec" for palm.
So what does that say for a needed feature.
P.S. The Palm OS is now over 15 years old.

It worked on my Touch Pro2 as well, but seems as though the stock rom was on there for around 10 mins i dont know if it worked out of the box or not.
AirVoice claims to be able to do this. Unfortunately in my experience it just doesn't
Hi falks!
The situation is easyer, then you think.
The hardware and the software are ready to record 2way the phone conversations. We have only one problem: we doesn't have any software, which would do it for us.
At this time is the only solution the Ultimate Voice Recorder, which records the outgoing voice perfect, and the incoming voice very quiet.
Total Recall is the other software, which could be able to do this feature, unfortunatelly it does it only under 1.6, so on our phone - HTC Desire - doesn't works.
For the moment... maybe turn the speakerphone on... and record the whole conversation with another phone! Hahaa... lmao!
is there apps for 2 way rec
or only wish centar

Agreed but I had HTC Touch Cruise too and did adjust the registry value up to 5 in the Sound Categories using Memmaid software. The incoming call recording improve but very slightly indeed and is too far to compare with the clear quality from my Samsung i780 using Vito audio note in non speaker phone for both. Finally sold the HTC out and bought Asus P552w and very happy with the unit. Suggest to know and choose the right hardware from the start otherwise one has to learn how to play with registry or cooked rom and run the risk of losing warranty if does not know how to flash back the official rom.

I would like to buy this wonderful phone but first i need to ensure that skype works..Has anyone tried it yet?
I have searched all over the internet and i have found that due to cpu freq skype does not work smoothly, especially when the screen goes blank(proximity sensor) and the OS drops the cpu freq. But that answer was 6 months old So i hope for a bit advancement in skype development..
I would be grateful if anyone that has tested skype in that phone could give me a more accurate answer!
I can confirm it works without any doubt , plus you have possibility to add voip accounts without installing any extra app
Thanx man! Btw not so important but does the front cam work with skype ?

It doesn't have a front camera
but, Skype is working Perfectly (Y)
@koki-tytnII
which version do you have runing on it? coz on mine it just make problems when I speak, and exactly when skype is running on background, that means when the display is turning off
thanks
you can find skype app at market.
So my own experience with Skype and that "****ty", but cheap, cellphone (Wildfire S, by the way, I used the official HTC ROM)... So that's just impossible to handle the calls with Skype. I tried Skype, Skype lite, Skype on 3 (a special version of Skype which allows just the chats, so NO CALLS)...
So I installed Viber. The calls are pretty good even if the sound is quite low... But compare to Skype (desktop software version) that's not the same quality/rapidity!
To sum up : Skype doesn't work well for the calls! Okay you can use it to chat with your friends but some better applications exist (like WhatsApp).
A buddy of mine used tasker to setup a profile to keep the screen ON when i'm on a skypecall, so skype has benefit of the max cpu produced.. I've got crystal clear skypecalls over 3G here
I use Skype_on_3 without any problems: audio cristal clear.
With normal skype instead, I have the famous choppy sound that make it useless (3G or wi-fi is the same).
I tried to use headphones to leave the screen on, but the problem is still there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
(Wildfire S, Stock ROM, S-OFF, last skype updated yesterday from the market.)
Skype works perfectly normal, and its very good to use with head set, and there is no lag. tho` there is no front camera for video calls ... and i think the 600mhz wouldnt handle video calls
skype doesn't work for me either (Wildfire S, Vodafone Ireland, Standard ROM, S-ON).
I think it works when the phone is flat and I use a headset, but that's pretty limited!
I tried downgrading to an older version (Skype 1.0.0.984 and Skype 1.0.0.983), no success either. Any suggestion?
I had the same problem, i uninstalled the new version and installed the old v1 and works just fine, no problems whatsoever

Where can you find an old version? The market only has the latest. I wanted to use skype over wifi and the sound is to bad it's useless. I thought it was a bandwidth issue but I tested and got about 10 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up so I know it's not that - glad to see that others are having this issue also not just me. But I'd be even happier if I could get a fix
I found skype 1.03 and it works without the new versions chopped-up sound - works just FINE!!! Found it here
Hi,
I agree about using an old version. I do it as well and speaking works very very good, and sometime better then my old notebook.
Just one thing that I really dont like, with such old version skype doesnt support sending sms, which means, when I need to speak I use the old one, for sending sms the new one.
Perhaps there is a stable version from skype which allows sending sms? Or is there a way to install two version of skype?
thanks
I've got unlocked Note 10+ and I flashed the U firmware because of video calling that's missing on U1. Now I found that on T Mobile version there is no Smart Call and it is replaced by T Mobile NameID, which I consider inferior and I'd have to pay for full functionality.
Anybody knows if there is any way how to get the stock Samsung dialer with Smart Call back? I'd hate to flash the U1 ROM and go through the restore process again. Even with Samsung cloud, Google and SD backups it took me almost half day to get it set as I had it before.

My past experience with Samsung Smart Call, was that i found that even though, its baked into Samsung Firmware, it is Service Provider depended. to "activate /work".
I might be wrong, but i personally believe so, based on my experience.
Just to recap, my experiences with my old Note 8 and my Note 9 (both devices not rooted)
I also flashed Stock Samsung firmware .. different CSC onto these devices.
I found on both occasions i lost the function of th Smart Call.
( Hiya services), also Volte function etc etc.
I could see the Smart Call settings in firmware, but it was greyed out.
Could not enable it at all.
When i flashed my old Samsung Firmware (Service Provider CSC) Smart Call (Hiya services), was enabled again and working.
I'm sure in your case, you'll will find it's Service Provider depended.
Good luck.

The thing is, after I purchased and set up the phone on stock Samsung firmware, VoLTE and Smart Call worked perfectly fine. But stupid me wanted to try the video calling. I found that the video calling is not different than Google Duo and I will NEVER use RTT texts. I see no real advantage from using T Mo firmware in comparison with stock Samsung (provisioned for T Mo of course)
Actually quite the opposite. For me, the signal strength and battery life is practically the same on both and again, FOR ME Smart Call is much more useful than video call and RTT.
If anyone knows any benefits from keeping T Mo firmware over stock, please enlighten me. I really don't want to go through the flashing the whole thing and restoring dance again, but I'm afraid I will have to.

Ha, your post reminds me,
that when i flashed
my branded Samsung Firmware ( Voda CSC) with the Samsung unbranded Firmware,
The reason, was also to get video calling working.
As my branded device did not have video calling option on dialer.
I could only activate video, if someone else, video called me... only then the video option, would appear.!
I then afterwards, realized that i lost my Smart Call functions. and flashed back to the branded software.
This was on my Note 9.
So i had no video call option on dialer ,but Smart Call.
Now...
again, with my branded( Voda CSC) Note 10 +,
i see that my device has video calling on dial pad.....!
So, the Service Providers, chop and changed.
A year back, they disabled video calling option, from dial pad.
Now video calling is back on the dial pad plus Smart Calls is working fine.
Good luck
So.... I bit the bullet and flashed back the U1 firmware. The only thing I lost is the video calling. I still have RTT button on my dialer. Whether it works or not I haven't tried yet. I know it wasn't there on the original dialer when I purchased the phone. Maybe because I didn't flash USERDATA? Who knows.
I'm happy I've got Smart Call back.
CSC N975U
Good afternoon, I have the n975u model, my question is what firmware should I install, to get the smart call and video calls by duo?. Or is csc the one that has these functions active?
Thanks!!
excuse my english, google translator.
I have a Verizon Note10+ running Android 11 (3.1) I paid my cell off 4 mo ago. Verizon confirmed for me that my cell is carrier unlocked. I've tried everything to get the Smart Call app on my phone to work. The only thing I haven't tried is rooting it cause I don't know how. I have 3 versions of the apk and can't make them work. Can anyone help?
Hello Everyone, I hope this is not a noob question...
I bought an unlocked Samsung Note 10+ SM-N975U1 directly from Samsung... Long story short - Samsung said it could record calls, then after my return window expired and several calls with Samsung Techs, they finally admitted that this "feature is locked" and I'm stuck with this $#!T.
I have tried several different call recording apps, and none work.
So my question is, Can someone tell me how to enable call recording on this phone? or direct me to link with the answer...
I really appreciate any help.
I have been looking for answers with no luck
Any one can help

I am going to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau against Samsung, because they mislead me to be believe that this phone did and had the ability to record calls. They kept saying that it should be fixed in the next software update 2 or 3 times, then after my return window expired, they said this feature is disable and there is no fix. At the same time, they said that the you cannot return this phone. This is fraud and deceptive business practices.
I bought an unlocked phone directly from samsung to avoid having rooting issues and all the carrier bloatware... instead i get this ****.

It does, it depends on the country and state. Also if you get carrier branded vs unlocked...
Google Dialer
I know some people have found success using the new Google dialer app, which has call recording baked in. I haven't tested myself, but it may warrant further research if it is truly possible.

think it is an android 10 implementation on certain phones (oppo reno 10x, mi 10 global 5g in my experience). You have to try calling from another phone switch to airplane mode after answering, get back on network, try calling the other phone-some sequence still have not figured it out works and it does not have an issue after that (until possibly the next reboot/turn on after shutdown-not consistent but likely to happen) not sure what it is
mi 10 android 11 seems fine (so far).
Fixed the problem. My repairguy found out that the headphone jack socket stucked.
