Bluetooth/WiFi Issue - Redmi Note 8 Questions & Answers

The issue is WiFi connection speed drops, sometimes refuses to connect when using a bluetooth headphone. There are some reports in the web saying that it is some software issue...I started using custom roms thinking that they might have fixed that... But it persists.
Is there any fix for this issue.

It has always been like that... on all phones. Both technologies use the same frequency (2.4 Ghz) causing interference. Software can help but won't elimate the problem completely.
You can try switching to 5 Ghz band if your router supports it.

Is there anything that we can do from the software side to alleviate this problem. In Redmi note 8, this problem is very much distinct than in other phones which i have used

You are also more likely to have issues if your phone and headphones are on 2 different versions of Bluetooth. The RN8 uses the older v4 Bluetooth.
I don't know any software tweak that can be applied on the phone directly.
Try the router trick I mentioned above. It's the only easy workaround I know of.

It must be done through your router settings if the router supports 5Ghz band

[Q] MI band not pairing with phone

I got my MI band today and was really excited to get started with it. I made sure it had a good charge then tried to pair it with my phone, however it won't pair, however my phone detects the MI band in the general Bluetooth menu. I'm using a Asus Zenfone 2, any idea what the problem is? I've tried the official app and the modified ones and nothing seems to work

I don't think that it's feasible as it would need a complete change of firmware and probably hacking of Mi Fit app as well (it offers features based on the connected band version). To be honest, you don't miss much, controls are utterly small and extremely inconvenient to use unless you're totally still.

Will a custom rom interfere with WiFi Calling?

My company have just given me a Samsung Galaxy A40. I’d like to put the Pixel Experience Rom on to it. However, if doing this will compromise WiFi Calling I may need to reconsider, as this feature is essential due to poor reception where I live.
So my question is: Will rooting and installing a custom rom interfere with WiFi Calling?
My companies network provider is BT OnePhone.
It can only be answer by your custom rom's devs. Try to read another users comments, about this specific ROM. But, in my experience in custom rom, i never face any problem like this. I used to have Xiaomi.Eu on my Mi 9T Pro.

I'd say if the company you work for gave you a phone for work related stuff, it's still their property. You shouldn't even consider to unlock bootloader and void warranty.
But to answer your question, Samsung (exynos devices) have never had volte or wifi calling working on custom roms unless they're based on a samsung rom.
For Pixel Experience, no it won't work.

Navic vs normal GPS

Hi,
I wanted to ask does any body know about NAVIC support in these mobiles , is it hardware or software based. If it is software based can it be installed via zip or apk in mediatek and snapdagon indifferently or u have to ask for special permissions from govt to install them? And how is it different from the normal GPS we have been using all this time in other mobiles. pls do share any difference u found ever in both... like accuracy zoom lvl difference from Google maps etc...
Navic uses a different frequency band and Integrating NavIC also requires hardware changes on the chipset.
These are few hardware chips which support NAVIC
System from Qualcomm has launched several NavIC compatible chipsets – Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 765, Snapdragon 720G, Snapdragon 662, and Snapdragon 460.
Huawei Kirin 990 SoC.
Mediatek dimensity series

It's completely hardware based and cannot be flashed by a zip or magisk cause it needs the hardware components to be on the SoC.
GPS satellites are American, NavIC is Indian so if you live in India or neighbouring countries you can get a faster lock on the Positioning Satellites. As for accuracy it's upto 1 meter and if you happen to work in Defence then 10cm.
Zoom level in Google maps doesn't have anything to do with the positioning tech or satellites you use.

Series SE Alternative to the Apple Watch

Is the NOISE smartwatch a good budget-friendly alternative to the Apple Watch?
Can you try one of this list below:
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4
HUAWEI WATCH GT2.
HUAWEI WATCH GT2E.
XIAOMI MI WATCH REVOLVE ACTIVE.
FOSSIL SPORT.
OPPO WATCH.
FOSSIL GEN 5.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 a very good option...
I can definitely vouch for the galaxy 4 watches. They're even pretty waterproof as my washer found out.
Si vas por apariencia yo elegiría un Galaxy, hay muchas más bandas adecuadas para esto: Correa samsung galaxy watch.
Fitbit también tiene muchos sensores agradables y buenos, mejores que los de Samsung.

Fitbit sucks. Sensors are way worse then Galaxy WTch 4 classic. I know. I had both. The Sense GPS was horrible. I was walking on a track and it showed me on the street above the track. And distance was way off. I went one mile and the Sense was way short.
The Galaxy watch 4 classic was accurate showing me only on the track and a closer but still not accurate distance tracking.
I'm am deep in ecosystem and have iPhone but I also own Android phone (pixel 6pm) and switch sim between two regularly. I have pretty aged out galaxy watch 1 which has no longer functioning rotating bezel but battery decent over 24 maybe 36 even with AOD, depending on how often tracking functions are used.
as Apple user and also android user I guess for me it would make sense to only with either cellular AW or wearOS watch? I like the new pixel watch but waiting for reviews and price drop. Now AW7 gets on sale from time time, even AW8 sometimes since probably not many people buy AW8 because it's minor improvement from AW7 and smartwatch market is pretty saturated already.
does it make more sense to go wit just 1 cellular watch or get 2 GPS versions of AW and another wearOS.
how are fossil watches? I like their style but reviews don't seem to fond of them. Another alternative seems to be Garmin but if the watch needs to be reset before pairing to another phone then I lean more toward my initial considerations.
galaxy watch 5 seems great but heard some features are exclusive only to Samsung phones like ECG measurement.
I try these watches:
HUAWEI WATCH GT2.
HUAWEI WATCH GT2E.
