Hello. I just bought PX6 Android 10 car multimedia unit. It had no sound and steering control, so I thought I would update MCU and system. No I still not only didin't cleared the issues, but the screen is off to the side (lost about 20% screen), touch is out of normal operation, and have verson unmatched warning.....
Could someone help?
It was
MCU MTCE_HXD_V3.56_3
It's all touch, so is there a way to boot to recovery mode? I managed once, but can't repeat it, RST looks like not working and I'm desperated...

a bit of background, i went full retard and factory reset my android head unit, then when the white screen with the crosshair popped up i had no idea what it was, so i started touching the screen randomly. turns out the white screen was the touchscreen calibration, so i ended up ruining my touchscreen completely because now there are giant dead spots on the screen or i tap somewhere and the screen thinks ive tapped a completely different place. my first question, how do i even find out which headunit i have? (i bought the car used and it alreaddy had the radio installed in it.) and is this fixable without going into the device settings, because i cant navigate there. second is there a way to factory reset the device using just the hardware keys?
A picture of your head unit might help.
If that's not enough, you will probably have to remove the head unit so you can read whatever stickers/imprinting are on the unit.
Hi,
I am new on this forum and the reason for joining is that my car HU stopped working and there seems to be a lot of knowledge on this forum. I have tried to search for solutions but did not find any directly adaptable solutions and I don't wan't to brick the unit totally (if it isn't already). I also contacted the seller Witson and got a couple of suggestions but they were unfortunately of no help.
I have not taken the unit out of the car so I can not check any label for exact make and type of the unit but it looks like this newer model - witson.com/displayproduct.html?id=2698508511135168 (sorry, newbie so please copy and paste into browser). To my understanding after some web browsing it is a Hui Fei unit, Android 6, Quad Core, RK3188, MTCB, original Witson type code B5779 when bought in November 2017.
Now to the problem. The unit suddenly did not startup normally anymore - it always halted at the logo - multi-media on-vehicle Navigation System. I contacted Witson for information on how to get into the recovery menu and was advised that a long push on the power button until all buttons flash three times would do the trick - unfortunately I didn't and the logo screen was there. Searching this site I also found that some of you added long and short power button and got to the recovery menu so I tried them too - no luck.
Contacted Witson again and was advised to put dmci.img and update.img files on a SD card and put it in the GPS slot and power up the unit - nothing happened, even the screen was totally black now.
Is there something else I can try or do or do I have to admit that the HU is bricked and ready for recycling?
Good morning!
I have bought a Hizpo Android radio for my Mercedes Benz Vito w639 (2012). This car haven't got steering wheel or controller for the radio, so I installed it without canbus (as the seller told me) and connecting Illumination and ACC directly to the car, bypassing the canbus.
The thing is that It started working perfectly the first day, but after some time the radio started to do really weird things, like resetting alone or getting looped on the startup showing a black screen with backlight on. Sometimes it works again for 1 day and after that starts again to fail. Anyone knows what is happening? I tried to access the recovery mode for trying a wipe, but I don't know the proper combination of buttons (this radio doesn't have physical buttons, only a reset button).
I don't know if in this forum is allowed to post the link of the website where I bought the radio, but if it's possible just tell me and I paste it.
I have a video of what happens when the radio starts to fail, but I cannot link it already to the post cuz I have less than 10 posts :crying: If you need them for helping me just tell me and I will send you a PM!
Thx for your help!!

Nothing at all, He didn't answer my messages at this moment.
hello....I keep getting this error code: 001, does anybody has a solution?
Hi guys,
I just bought a car unit android 8, but the screen sometimes (90% of times) looks flipped left-to-right. Sometimes is also flipped upsdide-down+left-to-right.
And sometimes I get the screen working as it should be, flawlessly, until I do not restart the car.
The defect appears from the beginning, right from the initial logo, and it remains also if I try to reset the unit. Also when I get the "boot" text menu, it appears flipped as everything. (edit - in addition, the touch layer still working in the right way, so I cannot easily understand what I'm touching on the screen, and this makes everything more complicate)
The unit is a px5, 4GB RAM, 8-core, the MCU is MTCE_XRC_V2.93_1.
I didn't already tried to overwrite the android files, because I'm trying to get some assistance from the producer. Anyway the product is coming from China, so I guess I will have to do it by myself. Until now, I rebooted, reset, cleaned, changed startup settings, and spent a lot of time in doing and re-doing all these tasks, but the unit still like at the beginning.
My question for you: do you think is it hardware problem, or can be fixed with a firmware update?
Do you have any suggestion, setting or trick in order to solve the problem?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards
It looks like a hardware problem indeed. The touchscreen 'digitizer' is apart from the display in the front. You could try if the ribbon cable inside the radio is firmly connected to the mainboard i guess. Otherwise i think a new screen..?
I will have the same issue with this same units. I write to selller , he send me a new spare part responsible for displaying the image.
I have the same problem. What is the spare part that solve this probem? Thank you in advance.
My MTCD Xtrons runnig stock firmware (android 9) randomly siwtches off (clean shut down of the Android system - it closes all the apps before it goes to sleep, etc.) and stays switched off for anything between 5 seconds and few hours and then powers on again on its own. It does it around once per week. When it's off it does not react to any buttons including the reset button. I've tried installing Hal9k firmware but the unit behaved in the same way, so i went back to stock. I have MCU v3.44.
Any ideas what might be causing it?
Much appreciated.

Some things needed for context;
- Is it canbus connected
- Post MCU version
- Steps taken to investigate / resolve
- What reseller suggests when contacted for support.
