! A705FN charge issue ! - Samsung Galaxy A70 Questions & Answers

Hi
I have A705FN some time not charge and when i go to support office it's charge !
I notice now when it's not charge if i remove SD - not restart - it's charge !
if i retern SD after 5-6 days it's back not charge again
I have this with mange charger and when not charge i test many chargers and cables

Hello, i have a similar issue. After test all kind of things, my conclusion is a false contact, so with the charge cable plugged, touch the flex between charge pcb and main board and voilá! Efectively, over the main board side have a false contact. I haven't the correct tools to fix it, so I put a small wood piece between the disipator and flex socket in the way to make some pressure in the connector and the charge problem was solved.
Hope helps!

[Q] IC socket burnt on the motherboard

Hey
i spilt water on my phone, a samsung galaxy nexus i9250 and i did the mistake of charging my phone after a few hours.
Now the phone doesn't charge at all. But everything else works perfectly without any problems. i have to remove the battery and charge it using a wall charger and put it back to use the phone.
i opened up the phone and found out that the IC socket on the main board which is used to connect the Charging Port Flex Ribbon and the connector of the ribbon is burnt.
i ordered the charging module off ebay, but its of no use if the socket on the motherboard itself is burnt. (6 pins of the socket soldered on the motherboard)
I just wanted to know if its fixable and if it can be fixed, can someone tell me where i can get the part.
I live in india where the phone wasnt released.
Thanks in advance

Can anyone help me out with Tab Pro 8.4 Battery problem?

Ok, well...
I'm Korean, and I've searched almost every Korean tablet forums, yet can't find the reason :crying:
So I came to here, XDA.
The problem is, my Tab Pro 8.4 won't charge at all.
It's looks like an usual charging problem of Tab Pro 8.4, however, mine's little bit different.
With the charger plugged in and tablet is on, I can see the lighting shape on the battery icon at the status bar (which appears the charger is plugged in) ,
but no matter how long I charge the tablet, it's 0% and turn off after like...10 secs.
With the charger plugged in and tablet is off, I can see the battery pic appears on the middle of the black screen.
BUT, like the former situation, no matter how long I charge the tablet, I turn it on and it dies quickly.
SO, my problem is this, and i can't find a tiny reason why my tablet got (or how to fix) this battery problem.
Never seen a battery problem like I have right now.
I got several ideas about this. (Hope this will help you to fix my situation )
1. My tablet's rom is not pure. (But not rooted.)
As far as I remember, I applied the Ukrainian version about 3 weeks before.
Is it possible the this is the reason?
If so, wiping the original rom and applying the new one would help me?
2. Is it possible that the battery and the tablet connection got a problem?
If so, open it by myself and re-positioning the battery would help me?
3. The battery charger part might be damaged.
Then it leaves me the one option {GO TO THE SERVICE CENTER} ?
4. well...not 4.
have no idea.
Using same charger which is official SAMSUNG's.
I will keep monitoring this thread.
Little help to poor man would be really grateful, THX
PS
I just tested download mod.
With the charger is plugged in, it's working.
to see if the charger is bad, fully shut tablet down and then try to plug the tablet into a USB port on a computer and wait about 8 hours, then unplug it and see if the tablet holds any charge (battery might still be low but it should have enough charge to run awhile), if above works then it means you need another wall charger (5v 2.1A).
if it still just powers off or dies then it means the battery is bad or not connected or something else is wrong with it.
1. Try another USB cable
2. Try another 5v 2.1A wall charger
3. Try charging on a PC
4. replace battery.
To verify your tablet is charging, you need this little tool
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...usb+power+current+and+voltage+tester&_sacat=0
Current should be 1.5 to 1.7 Amps, voltage should be 5 to 5.2 V
If the charging current is under 1.5 A, you should change different USB cable or adapter
If cable and adapter are fine, the next is charging port, it's easy to replace if your is defective.
Never use usb port on computer to charge, it only supply 0.5 A and your tablet needs at least 2 Amps for charging properly.
These are basic steps you need to do, without basic information I cannot tell what is wrong with your tablet: not charging or bad battery, or the worst: bad main board.
The one you have to verify: your tablet is drawing normal charging current around 1.5 to 1.7 Amps when plugged in. You can not troubleshoot problem just by guessing.
The most common problem of Samsung tablets are cracked Battery connector, a simple re-solder will fix the charging problem.
There are many unknowns, you have to eliminate charger, usb cable, usb charging port as the source of problem first. Then next look for battery or battery connector.
Otherwise, you will confuse yourself and others what causing the problem. Elimination is the key to figure out problem from many unknowns, one by one at a time. There's no short cut , otherwise, you can not figure out where the problem comes from.
I see many users send their tablets for service and the problem just comes from a bad cable because they have no idea what's wrong with their tablets.

You can charge from a computer fine just as long as the tablet is fully shutdown first (so you see the battery icon scrolling), this will ensure the 500ma will go directly to the battery and not running the tablet and os, it will charge very slowly but it will eventually reach 100% as nothing is drawing power from the battery to drain it (though I would only charge to 20%, to see if it holds a charge), however this method is just for diagnosing if the charger is bad and have no current alternatives, obviously this should not be a long term solution and never used when the tablet is running, but rather to see if the battery can hold any charge at all.
if you have another 5v 1+A charger laying around then use that instead., if the charger is the problem you can pick them up pretty cheap off ebay (make sure the hallmark icons and model number match to avoid knockoffs)

To see what is wrong with charging problem, you should never use wrong charger like 5V, 1 A or a USB port on computer. If using a 5V, 2A charger and a correct USB , any reading is under 1.5 A, there is something wrong with charger, or USB cable, or USB charging port, or battery connector. Even wrong USB cable, the one has only max of 1A, also is the source of slow charging.
His issue is not with slow charging, it was as soon as he unplugged it the tablet instantly powered off, in this case if the battery is 100% dead then damage is already done and once a lithium battery is completely discharged then most likely no charger whatever the mA is will bring it back...this is why I was saying to charge it from whatever source since you need to get a charge into the battery before it's irreversible damage.
However after re-reading ops post I think it's safe to rule out the charger as the problem because he said he could run the tablet with it plugged in (so that means the Charger is providing enough power to run the tablet) according to my mA reader this alone is around 500-700mA in standard use / full brightness
This also mean we can rule out a bad Micro USB port on the tablet since a broken one wouldn't allow power to the tablet.
the problem likely lies with a bad battery or a bad battery connection, the probably only option at this point would be for him to have samsung service it or take the chance to replace the battery.
(BTW I have all the tools nessasary and I know what can and can't charge this tablet)
Yes I know it needs a 2.1a charger to charge it while it's actively running since a good portion of that power will go into running the tablet and LCD if needed, it does not need a 2.1A charger when it is powered off and 500mA to 2.1mA will still charge it.
Three is a thread here talking about reseating the battery. Look it up. That may help.
Agree with otyg. I recently had a similar problem. My galaxy tab s 8.4 would power off immediately after being removed from power. It would register as having 100% charge while turned off, but once powered on, the tablet would show 4% charged or lower. Another thread on this site mentioned that the battery contacts on the motherboard have cracked for some owners creating symptoms like ours. I resolved the issue by applying a low resistance conductive adhesive to the cracked pins linking the battery to the motherboard. If this happens to be your problem be very careful because there are other contacts next to the battery pins. Good luck!

Zenfone wont charge

yesterday i put my phone to charge while slepping and i had some technical problems with electricity in my home so the power kept coming and going so my charger got fried and my zenfone wont charge anymore with any adapter i tried using 4 others charge, tried connecting to pc, tried turning it on but still my zenfone wont turn on. when i press power button it makes 2 vibration it shows like its charging and the led than turns off. I know something in the phone got fried and i send it to service but they said they dont have parts, so im going to buy them online but i dont know what it got fried (usb port, battery or motherboard).
Sorry for my bad english and thnks in advance
Same here. I think i have the same, but my adapter haven't fried and is healthy 3 port wall charger. I have even changed the battery, cause of this problem. Asus shop send me a new one because of this, free of charge!
But even then it doesn't work. There are moments when i can turn it on and charge, but its random. I thought it was Android related, but haven't found out anything..
I can turn and charge it sometimes, don't know yet when..
But the Battery release i think helps (Unplugging Battery connector from battery, no need to take it out).
Have tried many of tips, guides, nothing.. Nothing helps..
I'm starting to think that mobo has been damaged somehow.
I got it one time to charge fully, don't understand how. Once i plugged in and saw that it charged at last, i didn't turn it on and left it there till full. Once charged it, kind of charged when i plugged in (at about 60% battery), and in Ampere there was normal Current (about 1000mA), but it didn't really charge, just drained..
Please guys, would appreciate this!
And a lot of people in youtube too. There has been no answer for this problem.
I'm assuming your already tried with different cables? If you are lucky and just the micro USB port section got fried, a replacement costs 5 bucks on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Charging-Po...169886?hash=item1a030a819e:g:aowAAOSwDNdVqKyi
When something in my ZF2 fried all of the USB data functionality was gone, but it would still charge at slow rate. I RMA'd it and after ~2 months they sent me a new phone; did not mention what exactly was wrong with the old one.
Then a while later I dropped it on the floor while it was charging - it landed straight on the micro USB cable side and the impact dislodged the USB port ripping some of the lanes off the PCB so I could not solder it back, and of course then it would not charge at all. I bought one of those charging dock replacements I mentioned and with that replaced it started working again.
It might be a damage data flex cable. That data cable with simcad slots and micro sd need to be replaced to be able to charges again and working fast charging.
my zenfone phone is not charging what do i do

[Elephone P8000] Phone won't charge after plugged in car DC charger

Hi everyone,
my elephone P8000 won't charge after plugged it with dc charger on my car (it was a faulty contact) i plugged another phone too witch still works.
My phone shows a message like "interrupted charging" so i buy a new usbcardboard (on aliexpress ) I changed it (but i have no welded the mic)
Since the phone still do nothing (and is not detected by computer)
do you think it could be the "USB Charger Board to MOtherboard FPC" that could be faulty ?
i precise the phone was still working after plugged it on the car ( but the battery was low, 5%) it shutdown and won't charge or boot since ...
any help would be appreciated
Sorry for my bad english (native language is french)
Up
Do you know how can i charge the battery without the motherboard ? I mean what is the type of the plug anyone knows how to charge the battery separatly of the phone ?
The same happened to me
I bought the same model. I'm able to charge batery in the new one and plug it into the broken one. So I am able to make a full backup and save the data. However I'm not able to do that through USB cable and computer.
I also tried to switch the USB Board Charge Plug Charging Port buth with no luck.
Here on the pictures is marked one spot - I thing it's broken / burned. Does it seem the same for you?
well.. as a new member I'm not able to insert a link to them...

You can buy an usb board on Aliexpress.
Its very cheap (about 6€ to try ) and worth money.
You can search for Elephone P8000 USB.
For example this one
fr.aliexpress.com/item/New-Eelephone-P8000-USB-Board-Replacement-Parts-Board-USB-Plug-Charger-Port-Board-Free-Shipping/32709374220.html
It isn't too hard to replace it then. If you need I can make some advice.
Switching the USB board does not fix the problem.
As I've already write, I did that with no success. As a new member I'm not able to attach an image, but the burned piece seems to be on te main board.

P5210 Battery not loading

I have a strange problem with my Tablet. It does not charge my battery, i measured the whole circute from the usb port to every resistor etc.
When i plug in the cable, for some time i have 2.5 Volt at the battery terminal. After some seconds, it drops to 0.94 Volts.
The battery was discharged when i was on vacation and i cant revive it. No trick helped so far, has someone recharged a battery externaly and what i need for it? I tried 2 battery's, but both are dead. I don't want to spend 20 Euros for a battery if i don't know if the battery is dead or if there is some other problem in the system.
I had the same problem, in my case it was a broken charger and a usb female that has become too wide or there is oxide, I dont know exactly. Now I always charge the device being turned off, WiFi off and without touching it for at least 2 hours. One small movement can disconnect the Male from the Female.
Cheers n good luck

I tested many chargers, cables and measured the connector at the battery. I am now to the point with a loaded battery, but still it wont turn on. I resoldered the battery connector with no luck. I wait for a few items now for resolder smd parts, maybe i broke the battery connector on the board, a microscope will show it.
Good luck mate
