I keep enabling the "Save Location" (gps location) in my XZ2 Compact's camea settings, but it keeps disabling itself after some time.
Anyone else see this happening, or have a solution for it? I can't understand why a setting would keep getting disabled.
I DO have "Stamina Mode" enabled most of the time, so I wonder if that's causing this.

I can't get in accessibility in the settings... Unfortunately, accessibility has stopped pops up every time.
Does anyone know how to fix that?
Thanks...
Never mind, it's because I changed dpi
HI forumers
can you suggest any help?
When I have my device screen turned off, my wifi stays connected. So in the middle of the night, emails will sting "ping" out a sound.
I have selected in the settings to turn off Wifi when in sleep, and when i close my case cover, but it just doesnt.. Any ideas?
Thanks
Yeah that doesnt work for me either. I would try setting a wifi timer in wifi, adavanced settings and pick a time where you want wifi to be on during certain times of the day. Hope this helps!
Really?! not just me then? I was wondering if maybe a downloaded app is making this error happen.
Can anyone confirm that it does work for them?
Guys, Have you tried to untick "always autorized localisation search" in the advanced parameter of the wifi ?
Hope it could help.
Good idea, but I've just tried this and it didnt fix the problem..
Anyone else?
Or maybe someone knows an app that can do this?
Why does my phone always say "Location Found" in the notifications? I cannot even swipe it away.
You must have Location set to "High Accuracy". The system will try to find your location constantly. If you're in a location where it's hard to get a lock, whether because there is no GPS or network signal, the system will take a LONG time trying to find your location. It cannot be swiped away but you can try clearing your currently running programs to see if that helps.
I changed my Location setting from "High Accuracy" to "Battery Saving" and I have not have any issues with that. It also almost eliminated the heating issues I was having, where it felt like I had a small, portable furnace in my pocket whenever the phone would switch out of 4G into 3G or 1x. I have also found that update 13B is much more stable and has improved my battery life.
Hope that helps.
Location Found Notification
When I open Waze it needs my location turned on to accurately navigate, and that turns on that notification. If I tap on that notification, and tap on Waze in the list, and force stop Waze the notification goes away until the next time I use Waze. :good:
I had a problem with Waze...so I uninstalled and then reinstalled it. When I open it up....it does the normal "Allow Waze to access this device's location?" So I select ALLOW and then I get this "Screen overlay detected" prompt. Says I have to first turn off the screen overlay from Settings> Apps OPEN SETTINGS ....so I hit the open settings and then it goes to the Draw over the other apps "Enabled list" of apps. I then scroll down to waze and it is already set to No...or off. I tap on Waze and then the draw over setting shows the toggle set to off....and also grayed out.
This happens with several apps......I have never had to deal with this "Draw over other apps" setting on any android device I have had yet to date. I had been using the Nexus 6 prior to the G4 and never had this problem with Overlay settings or the draw over apps thing. So I am perplexed at this....is this something that has come about more from Marshmallow?
Any help with getting some of my apps to get past this to start would be very appreciative...thanks!
bump....
Same problem here with a G3
I'm having the exact same issue with Waze on a G3.
I guess you have an app that is using overlays, like Lux Lite or the likes to setup brightness or color. Give that app the permission and your troubles should be over.

I've got the same problem. But I've set it to allow Twilight permission, and is still doing that endless loop with the greyed-out bit mentioned above.
I got it to work by turning overlay OFF for Twilight.. but then Twilight doesn't work. Why is this app even checking for overlays? Waze gets to be uninstalled for this treason.
So frustrated
I don't use Waze, but this same issue has rendered my G4 a nuisance rather than a useful tool. For example, I cannot add nor edit contacts because my contact list doesn't have permission to access my calendar (which shouldn't matter), but I cannot grant that permission because of screen overlay. I can't add anything to my calendar from my phone because of screen overlay. Custom ringtone... nope. Screen overlay. Essentially anything that involved editing, adding, or deleting of any kind is verboten because of this screen overlay nonsense.
I have tried turning off screen overlay to all apps that will allow me to, but some are grayed out and unable to be changed but they appear to be off. I can't even imagine what app I have installed that would use it so I can target it specifically and uninstall it altogether. Is there a fix for this other than turning it off for all apps? Maybe an app or bit of code that suppresses it?
Thank you in advance.
I find it sort of ironic that every time I have to reboot/shut down the Honor 7x the Bluetooth doesn't turn on when I restart the phone. If I forget to manually do it, my watch doesn't sync, etc. etc. The irony is that the last few phones I had made it impossible to turn OFF Bluetooth, it always turned back on in a second or so.
Anyone else see this or know of a reason or fix?
I think I fixed this one, not an issue specific to Huawei or Honor apparrently...
While the setting seems to be in different places, it is called "Bluetooth Scanning" on the Honor 7x. The description says "Improve location by allowing system apps and services to detect Bluetooth devices at any time".
With that setting enabled, bluetooth would always be off on a reboot. Turning that setting off allows me to reboot without losing bluetooth.
On the Honor 7X I found it using the search box in the settings, using "scanning" as the search term. It is under "Security & Privacy", "Location Access", the three dot menu in the upper right "Scan settings".
Hmmmm....?

First Of All.. Glad You Found A Solution That Worked For You...
But something else may be going on with your device.
Your post intrigued me... so I duplicated your situation.
Indeed, my setting under Security & Privacy / Location Access / 3 Dots / Scan Settings / Bluetooth Scanning was set to "Disable" by default since it's my first time there.
So... I did a Reboot and Power Off with the setting still Disabled... and my Bluetooth was still Enabled upon powering up.
But Also... After I "Enabled" Bluetooth Scanning, and did a Reboot and Power Off.. my Bluetooth was STILL enabled upon boot..
I just wanted to let you know, you may have other issues going on.. but hey, if you have it working to your satisfaction.. you're good.. :good:
P.S.
I don't know if you have rooted.. my device is completely stock..
Hello, i had a similar pb on my Honor 7 and a friend of me on P10 Lite. After "plane mode" or reboot the BT didn't power ON even if it was ON before.
I've tried this solution on my HONOR 7 and he tried on his P10 Lite... Now everything is working again. The BT will power ON if it was ON before the action.
So big TY !
