I need a little bit of help here with this, because I'm practically banging my head against the wall trying to figure this out. I'm trying to unlock my LG L38C Optimus Dynamic, and the problem is that every time I try to run
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
it refuses to actually boot into the bootloader at all, it just reboots normally and fastboot doesn't see anything at all. I know it can be done because I've seen videos of people who HAVE an unlocked LG L38C, and I can't go to the LG website to get this sorted out since my device isn't on the supported devices list. I would really like to get this unlocked so that I can start installing custom roms, but the only "recovery" it seems to have is hard resetting the device (which basically wipes everything and starts it fresh.) I've been trying to google this for the last 45 minutes and nobody seems to have an answer besides "use adb reboot bootloader" or it will give me guides for phones that are not what I have at all.
If anyone is able to help me out with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Background Information:
I bought the LG G3 last on an AT&T Next 12 plan last July. I've unlocked the bootloader (via Bump), installed a custom recovery (TWRP), and flashed a custom ROM (CM12).
What I want to do:
Now that the OnePlus 2 is coming out, I am looking to upgrade. I can trade in the LG G3 and get a discounted rate on it, but in order to do that I would need to completely restore my LG G3 to the stock conditions that I received it in.
What I have already done:
I have already restored a backup from the original LG ROM and completely wiped the phone. I am now looking to remove the custom recovery (TWRP).
The Problem:
All of the online guides that I have looked at required me to put my phone into download mode. However, when I try to follow the steps to go into download mode, my phone won't do it. It simply starts up normally displaying LG splash screen and then after around 5 seconds just displays the current battery charge of the phone.
Is there something that I'm doing wrong or just completely missing? Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Are there any other ways to restore the stock LG recovery?
(Basically I'm trying to hid the fact that the phone was ever unlocked/rooted from AT&T)
Thank you and I appreciate any help that I can get,
That Android Guy
Your not doing it correctly
Look at some youtube guides on how to do it and then after youve kicked it into download mode follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/general/guide-att-lg-g3-to-stock-t2819541
And then after that OTA your phone to Lollipop and it should be all good

Ok, so I have looked up some youtube videos and followed them exactly as shown, to no avail. I have seen in a couple of the videos comments, however, that sometimes when being plugged into a USB 3.0 port, it doesn't work, therefore requiring a USB 2.0 port. The problem is is that my laptop, the HP Omen 15 only has USB 3.0 ports. So I am stuck on what to try now...
Totally non device related but I'm lost as where to ask this and since this is the m9 is the only thing I own with a decide thread I'm hoping someone here can just point me in the right direction. I own a Verizon ellipsis 7 tablet and as far as I'm aware, an MTK device. I use the MTK tools to create a custom cwm for my tablet which is pretty easy with just about any MTK device. Everything went good but I let my curiosity get the best of me. There is no dev support anywhere for this device so I decided to see if CM12 from a similar device would work and now I'm sitting with a hard brick. The device will not boot past the initial powered by Android boot logo and it just loops. Goes to that screen and sits for 20 seconds and repeats. Now I know all about getting a phone into bootloader mode or download mode yada yada to flash stock firmware but I can't get this thing to boot into anything but the loop. When plugging it in to charge it shoes the off charging icon and then tries to turn on by its self and continues the loop. I've literally tried everything google could possibly turn up and I can't find anything that can get this thing to boot into bootloader mode or even suspend in pre-boot mode (if that's what it's called). If ANYONE may have any advice, even if it's just a better place to post for help, I'd really really appreciate it.
So my brother gave me his old G3 which never turned on again after 1 year or less of use, I believe the problem it had was the LG famous black screen or whatever, I never had a LG phone of my own, but I heard something about it and that it happens to up to the G4 (G5 maybe). I took it to a repair shop and they got it to turn on and make it functional, but it didn't last much longer than a month, it then started freezing completely to the state it's now, which turns on but then it freezes after 10 seconds or something.
I doubt this has anything to do with the software, but still I don't miss anything by trying. So far I've tried installing a custom ROM but there is a problem, it has no recovery nor fastboot installed, I don't even know how this is possible, and I know this is the case because when I try to access any of both I get the LG logo with some white letters on the top left saying some kind of boot security error.
I tried installing the fastboot img through my pc with sdk tools but idk if either the file was corrupted or what but I couldn't make it work (tested multiple I believe), and without the fastboot I can't install a custom recovery.
So I'm hearing any suggestions you guys might have before throwing this phone already.
i tried to install lineageos on my asus zenfone 2 ze551ml. I must confess that I really messed things up because i didnt put lineage os on it before wiping.... anyways, I cant access the bootloader, but my phone does turn on and show the asus logo and that powered by android thing, in white tho, which is since I activated bootloader. Since the Screen turns on it doesnt seem to fit the definition of hardbricked, but I cant access bootloader either so it doesnt seem to be softbricked. What can/should i do now? When holding Power and volume up it just vibrates and does nothing, but when i just press power it gets stuck in the booting screen, i can turn it off though. I dont want to make things worse since everyone seems to warn me of using hardunbrick methods when the screen still does turn on... I own the zenfone 2 ze551ml, it wasnt rooted and i recently downgraded to lollipop since otherwise i couldnt have used asus' bootloaderunlock tool.
EDIT: I now have followed some tutorials, I have used the xfstk tool and i got to the point where I can choose between normal boot, power off, recovery, and reboot to recovery. I can also detect it via cmd and fastboot devices. Now unfortunately I can't flash a ROM with the Asus flash tool because "Error #1" and I cant put anything on it in general. I've come to the point where I just decided that i will take the next opportunity that will make this stupid thing work again and that my next phone will just be a oneplus because of the far better support from customroms etc. Anyways, does anyone have a clue how to fix it? if it runs lineageos afterward or the stock rom doesnt matter anymore, but it should work afterwards. Thanks! (in cmd, when im trying to flash something it would just say (command write failed (no error)))
So my phone has been this way since Nov 2017, there are files that I need access to and would truly appreciate some guidance
I was experiencing issues with the bluetooth on nextbit previously so I installed a new rom after flashing the device. Once the rom also gave issues I decided to revert back to the Nextbit 7 OS and one fine day when the phone restarted it wouldnt go past the "nextbit" splash screen. Tried installing the OS again however the PC wouldnt recognize the phone anymore, switched laptop to a Mac and got the same issue
Any help would be greatly appreciated
It wont let me post a URL link. I have taken www out hopefully it allows to view the video, shows exactly whats wrong

It looks there's something wrong with the system boot, since it's reaching the blue boot-animation and it stays there (probably before loading the adb stuff). Fortunately u did unlock the bootloader and that annoying initial screen may be helpful this time, did u try to reach recovery or fastboot mode from there (pressing some volume key)? It's pretty hard for it to be broken there too and in such a case I would think about some hardware fault. Anyway from the recovery (I hope u have TWRP, if not install it with fastboot) you should be able to do whatever u want, including recovering your files or (re)installing a rom
