Is there any way to convert my Korean (KT) LG Wing to EUR firmware? I really can't stand all the bloatware the KT version has. I tried some quides but no luck
I'd be interested in learning how to do this too
Hi,
Did anyone get any success in changing the rom to EUR?
Hi,
I have a LG WING LM-F100EMW , Indian variant. I have been tracking the software updates of the phone and found out that, there have been atleat 4 updates in other countries like in Germany, Poland, Spain, each having the same model no, just different regions, and here in India we have received only 2 updates.
I had been searching several forums and have been trying to install other region firmware on my LG wing, but have been unsuccessful.
I had been using LGUP software 1.16 with LGUP_common.dll 2.1 .
The error which I am getting is , UNABLE TO CHANGE REGION FROM COM55_EU5 TO COM5_EU1
I have searched through other forums and have not been able to find anything.
If someone have the idea, how this can be avoided and I am able to install other region firmware on the phone, as i have read at many places that you can install other region firmwares till the model no is same.
hi,
it would be intresting if anyone can share the guide to change from Korean firmware to EU
Hi everyone, someone find solution ?
you would use LG Up for this. Korean models should be flashable, but be careful. This is how I bricked my LG Wing
Thanks for your answer, but i tried and i get message says impossible to do it. It's stop automatically. I have others option, I'm scared to brick the phone. Is it irreversible ?

Hi all,
I have a G3 D855 16gb; european version. I flashed my Phone with the new v10L firmware but by accident I took the global version instead of the v10l-EUR-xx. But even using Flash Tool 2014 trying to get it back to stock firmware, no matter what I try, any firmware will say it's global now on my Phone. I'm sure I downloaded the EUR-KDZ file. Anyone has any idea how this is possible, or how to fix this?
Thank you in advance!
Not sure it matters. I thought it based version suffix on imei number. I flashed international/european but it says SEA.
I really hope so indeed! I just can't find a way to fix it...
Hey. I have an Hong Kong version with h815t model number. Can i flash .kdz files of different countries? For example Eu firmwares?

i need answer to this one too, kindly those know spare a minute and tell us, i have a feeling by few comments, we can, but want to be sure by some expert people out here.
also because my h815t only has 10c update, we are missing out of other more recent updates.
so, the question is: can you flash, maybe H815 kdz to your H815T? yes, you probably can, but due to some regional differences, i bet the signal reception or mobile network would have bugs. or, your phone might just go bootloop. CMIIW.
you might face the wifi /antenna error when you flash incorrect region! Been through this with htc sensation..
Hi all,
So I have a H815-EUR International LG G4 (V10e-EUR-XX) and when I do an IMEI check (http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=IMEI) the suffix comes back as ANLDLD. (NLD as in Netherlands even though I bought it in a store in Belgium, but that doesn't matter)
I know I can flash other H815 International KDZ files without much issues.
So if I were to flash the ADEULD one, it won't cause any issue...I know that.
But what exactly is the function of these different suffixes for europe?
If I flash the german one, will my modem be different? Maybe reception won't be as good?
If LG uses the suffix to time the roll-outs of OTA updates, will my OTA's be timed with the german ones and not the Belgian/Dutch ones?
Will it have an impact on my warrenty? (Maybe they won't accept my claim in Belgium because it has german software?)
Will the software be exactly the same between the ADEULD and the ANLDLD versions?
Please enlighten me
Thanks
C
Mine is LG G7+ G710EAW from HongKong. In the box it has a paper written about region lock that takes 30 minute local call to unlock. I don't live in HongKong, so I assumed the shop I bought did all this for me.
I want to flash a new firmware to another region and perhaps re-flash back to the original one. Will region lock come back (or even worse, the new firmware has it too)?
I tried it myself today. The answer is no. It will not come back.
Did you experience the region lock limitation or just saw a notice about it?

My G7+ was region locked to China, Hongkong, and Macau area. It had been unlocked properly by calling using a regional sim card, Now I don't live in the country of purchase anymore (Hongkong).
I was afraid if there should be something that would trigger the region lock again. However, after hard resetting and flashing another firmware, seems that region lock once unlocked properly will be unlocked forever regardless of whatever you do with the phone.

When cross region, just use the same model number (mine is G710EAW ), whichever region is OK. Hongkong firmware on my G7+ does not support VoLTE and LTE-U in my country so I flash Indonesia firmware to enable them.
You can find all G7/G7+ firmwares on all variants on the internet easily, just use LGUP, .dll file for your device, and USB driver to flash the firmware you want.
Thx for your information.
Even if there was a chance that it is not permanently region-unlocked, you could always just order the unlock code from one of the many online unlocking services...they basically just get the unlock code for you from the manufacturer. Then you could just keep the code handy, in case you ever needed it...
I paid like $14.00 for the unlock code for my black UK/EU Region LG G7 (G710EM) when the U.K. seller that I bought it from mistakenly shipped it to me in the U.S. without first making the local region 30-minute phone call...but it was cool being the first one to actually unseal the box, and it took less than a day for the online unlocking service to send me the code after I ordered it.
I just bought another one from the same UK seller (in platinum grey), and this time I actually requested that they send it to me still sealed (and still region locked)...I will just order the unlock code like the last time. All good!
Good luck, in any case!
Cheers,
VegasRooted
Similar to the thread, I'm using LM-G710N which is the korean variant. I guess the store did unlock for me so if I flash other region or international fw, will I be able to take advantage of these variants' dual sim ? Since my dad has a korean samsung s8 single sim which now converted to use it with dual sim.

I know nothing about the G8s, never owned one, but generally speaking, pretty sure changing the firmware is much the same as the G8. There are some no no's, like if you have dual sim to single sim, or vice versa, but you don't say anything about the firmware you're referring to... it might help to know why you want to change, iow, what are you trying to accomplish?
But more than likely, it shouldn't be a problem. I'd suggest first to ask on the tele group for the v50 / G8 devices, they are more international experience there and will be more certain. Cheers
Thank you for a quick answer. My LG G8s is a g810ea version. I won’t to flash g810eaw firmware because the are fresher builds. Newest build for eaw is 30c from 7/2022, when ea 30a is from 12/2021. Also LG Germany declared Android 12 update. Morover I couldn’t find setting for VoWifi and Volte. All firmwares are meant for LG G8s, which is available in 3 versions g810ea, g810eaw and g810ra.

From what I can see on the firmware pages, should be okay. Always keep in mind that ea individual rom has certain bands enabled, so be sure the bands it has will meet your needs.
Also, vowifi and volte are dependent on your carrier, not just the phone. The G8s is capable of both, but if your carrier doesn't allow them then there's no way to make the work. And, some carriers (like US at&t), only allow it to work on their phones - or at least that was the case at one time.
It's always best to flash an 'open' version Rom, if there's one available with the bands you need, and your carrier allows a phone on their network that isn't running their specific rom (usually an mvno type carrier is best).
