Is there any way to forcefully enable AOD on Mi 10T? Via build.prop or tweaking MIUI itself; I just want to try this while my phone screen is off, that's all

It's a fun novelty, we should all admit.
I tried installing the Always on apk from the m10 on my 10T but nothing changed.
Then I changed my region to India (global rom) and the AOD option appeared in settings but when I applied it, nothing happened.
Always on displays are only available on OLED screens that can illuminate single pixels. LCD will never have always on displays so this thread needs closing.

LCDs are never meant to have AODs, yes, I get the whole point out of it, but My point is, there are ways that other MIUI devices, i.e., RN9Pro curtana, with a lil bit of flashing some AOD Mods thru Magisk have proven that MIUI AOD can be enabled, what I'm trying to convey is that, os there anyone here, with the knowledge and enough curiosity that could help people like me to enjoy a bit stupid but fun way of "messing around" with the android framework, that's all. You don't need to "Close" this thread.
Honestly, ain't anyone here amazed by that MIUI AOD? It consumes power because we have an LCD panel, yes, but we can turn it off anytime. It's both the novelty and satisfaction that gave birth to this stupid but curious idea.
It's not that much of a novelty, i had aod 10 years ago on several phones... It just comes to the fact that you don't really don't need that
si think this is a good idea! probably all LCD displays know aod handling. It just doesn’t allow it because of the brutal reduction in energy use!

Hello guys,
I was working on a project today that lead me to create this app for myself, and I thought I could share it.
Basically, Saev My Battery! let you reduce your brightness below the minimum possible, without your phone needing to be rooted.
For now, the battery saving will occur only with AMOLED displays (like the SGS2's screen), but I'm planning to add the reddish tint for other displays in the next few days.
Let me know what you think about it, if you find any bug, if you'd like some more features etc...
Thanks for being my beta testers fellow SGS2 owners

There already is this app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.haxor#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmhheG9yIl0.
which I personally use since SG1...But more is always welcome
I will try it although one of the let downs with your app for me is the name (I just don't like when people use words that aren't the real words) and the design.Make more polished..More eye appealing. Those are my sujestions.
Keep it up

Hey, thanks for your quick review. I'll definitely work on the design, but I've been too lazy to find a more appealing name I guess

I'm also using Screen Filter, but if this program will also have features of "Soft Screen Tuner" (plaing with colors, saturation...) and "Voodoo Screen tuning" so it will be "all in one" =) But anyway thnx! =)
How about SMB?
Hi,
The cardboard still works on games which have their native implementation of side-by side graphics. It also worked on apps which were using cardboard v1 sdk. The cardboard template I used to make mine was http://pcpress.rs/download/MojAndroid/print_yourself.pdf
Now, in cardboard v2 apps, the left and right images are way apart from each other, so, its impossible for human eyes to focus.
Here is a screenshot :

So, is there any way to make cardboard apps work on this device?
an update, I experimented with https://www.google.com/get/cardboard/viewerprofilegenerator/ and this is what i came up best with:
Its a bit blurry/pixelated, but the ppi of our phone is way too low for stuffs like vr. Might not work for your eyes and lens.

Hi guys...
Had this working fine before and now it's screwie..
Gear VR works fine.
Google Cardboard when starting , has the inter-lense adjusted to far apart. The two images are seperated to much.
Is there a way to start from scratch (by deleting some config files?)
The left and right displayed image need to come together / closer.
Ive deleted cache/data for Cardboard and uninstalled / reinstalled
Anyone have any ideas ?
Is there a way to have this feature on our phones? I've tried a few apps, but it isn't the same.
Any modules or rooted apps you might recommend will be greatly appreciated ????
If you will leave the phone upright, you can use an app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexnor.gravityscreenofffree&hl=en
Glance Plus is close, but not perfect.
"Always On" on the play store is really good. It is probably the best that I have found honestly with the most features. The developer is open to suggestions as well.
I use Tasker for that. I set it up so when connected to any power, screen time out changes to 23 hrs, 59 min, 59 sec if screen is on. When state is disconnected from power, time out changes back to 1 minute.

You can have the screen stay on when plugged in from developer options
Max OD's TMobile S7 port had the best implementation of AOD I've used, but it was still buggy and annoying...i disabled it straight away. I don't think Samsung has even had it working all that well. Different strokes and all that, but I don't see much point in the feature, makes the phone feel like an LG clamshell from '04.

I tried in on the Noble ROM. When unlocking the home screen, it would stay dark. I understand that's an issue with Dr Ketan's new ROM as well.

Hi
On the Note Edge 915 Noble Rom the screen saturates, like it is a Xray picture... But the AOD works with the fix that has been given in the third post of the Noble Rom. But the display beeing Xray'd isnt nice, so hopfully there will be a fix for this.
My 6Pro is, just like the title suggests, super sensitive for very certain things. Because of a bit of a hand disability I have gestures turned off and I rely on the Back, Home, and App Overview buttons. But the Back button is crazy. When I tap it, about half the time it will double or triple tap. The App Overview button is super weird too, but I suspect that it is it's own thread in Android 12 forum.
I've gone through to make sure that in the Display settings, the "Increase touch sensitivity" is disabled. I don't know of any other option that could affect this. I'm going to try to reach out to Google for help, god help me. But maybe someone has some ideas or maybe is already aware of if this is a hardware bug?

Yeah, I have the same random issue....
Simple/single/small touches of the back button, become double/multiple registered touches for some reason?
IT IS a very frustrating bug at times
Under accessibility setting touch and hold to medium solved my sensitivity problem (sounds like i was Emo LOL)

I've reverted my setting to short now that I'm on the March update and it seems this is much better. I'll post further if my testing shows that medium is still the optimal setting, but short seems fine right now
Nope scratch that it's just not as bad it still does it back to medium
Hello
Since the update from a11 to a12 i must say that for me it was quite a step back in many ways. I can live with most of the things but i cant get over the quick settings. Its a huge deal breaker, i wonder is there any solution out there one could completely replace this crappy big tiles altogether ideally systemwise as those pesky apps like power shade actually dont work really well. Or is there any AOSP rom that would have? I guess no? So probably OOS would be only option?
I am searching far and wide and seems there isnt anything. But if anyone would know of something give us shout!
Many thanks
K.

the huge ones are on aosp roms
if i am not mistaking "anciet" has A11 tiles, or for A12Aosp you can try "project themer A12" on the store
... maybe also "aosp customizer" majsk module allows somethink like that, on rice it is also customizable in 2,3,4 columns per row
yes thats what i am talking about...going back to OOS if there wont be anything to fix AOSP roms
That's was one of the reasons I came back to 11. Couldn't stand 12 view and feeling.
