Issues post MIUI 12.1.1 - Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro Questions & Answers

All - I have recently done the OTA upgrade to MIUI 12.1.1 on my Mi 10T Pro and this is now on Android 11. A bunch of apps (e.g. messenger, tiny scanner) are not working as they would previosuly and the phone also is having random freezes and stutters. One more issue that i am grappling with is sudden loss of connectivity (voice) post the upgrade.
Any suggestions? This is my daily driver and i am unable to function properly. I don't even know how to wipe the system cache partition as the Mi Recovery only has a wipe data option and not a separate one for cache parition.
Please help.
regards,
Shuvo

You need to do a factory reset. It's a pretty well documented phenomenon that big OS updates literally destroys device's stability and usability.
I'd suggest you to back up all of your important data and do a data wipe inside of your recovery. It'll get miles better, trust me.

Mi6 random app stopped and random restart

Dear all,
This is first time i start a thread here, so I am sorry if this thread is improper.
I really need help about my Mi6.
I have been using mi6 for more than a month. I use miui eu stable 9.2.4.0 from the begining. I used this phone for normal usage : social media, email, browsing, and sometime for game. Everything was flawless until Last week.
Suddenly I got many error message : goggle play services has stopped, facebook has stopped, gallery has stopped, and many other similar message. And the worst is my Phone always restart randomly.
I have no idea what happened. As long as I remember, I didnt do any peculiar activity. Then i try to flash other ROMs : other miui eu, miuipro, globe rom, stock miui 9 stable and dev, and even lineage os 15.1, I already performed format data, wipe anything everytime I flash any ROM. But the result still same, i still got error message and random restart.
Hopefully there is no problem with the hardware. Because there is no problem when I use twrp for flash, wipe, and other activity. I also already try Stress Test using Antutu and the result was good.
Is there anyone here can help me? I already desperate about this thing
Thanks in advance.
Regards

Miui Global 9.5 overheating issuses (up to 50 degrees Celsius/ idle/screen on)

I got my 2nd note 5 global last week. The first one is perfectly fine on the same firmware. With the new one I had two issues from the get go.
The screen started flickering when turned to full brightness (this issue was gone after the third factory reset) and the device is heating up which still persists.
I already reached out to the shop I bought from. I heard that with this miui version, there are some issues on other Xiaomi devices but that the 5 pro is fine.
Any chance, that by flashing to an older version of miui this issue could be solved?
For anyone interested I include two videos. One of the phone while charging and one while idle. In both situations the phone was factory reset and no mobile data or wifi on.
Videos were mirrored after the upload and I don't have the original files anymore but you get the idea.

If you unlocked bootloader in your new global version Flash MIUI 10 through TWRP. Hopes it will solve the heating issue.
Thanks for the advice flashed Miui 10, Resurrection Remix and Lineage os all with the same issue. Will try to lock the bootloader again and still waiting for an answer from the shop.
try going developer options,
under background process limit, no processes
under background check, tick only necessary apps, untick those that you do not want to run in background like facebook

(Solved) WiFi and camera not working after flashing global ROM on Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G China

I am asking this question for a friend.
He has a Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G China, and he had the China ROM on the phone (V12.0.11.0.QJSCNXM).
A few days ago, he installed the Mi 10T Lite Global ROM (V12.0.2.0.RJSMIXM) on the phone with Mi Flash.
After booting to the global ROM, WiFi stopped working, the WiFi switch is on, but no WiFi can be found by the phone.
Camera also does not work.
So I think this means the persist partition is corrupted.
We have tried to flash persist.img to the phone in TWRP with Terminal commands, but that did not work.
We have also tried to flash persist.img to persist partition directly using orange fox recovery, but after doing that WiFi still does not work.
We have also tried to re-flash the global ROM using Mi Flash, and to flash directly using flash_all.bat, the result was still the same.
If anyone knows how to fix corrupted persist partition on this phone, please let me know.
Thanks.
Edit: It was solved by installing the China ROM back on the phone.
I have 9 Pro 5G here and I tried to install a Global ROM, but I also had the same problems. What happens is that it seems to me that despite sharing the same platform, the Mi10T Lite and the 9 Pro 5G have some peculiarities, such as the camera which is different. So, I went back to the Chinese ROM and installed xiaomi.eu. At first, I'm looking for the XQCN file of a Mi10T Lite to test here on the 9 Pro 5G.

In my case, it only resolved by switching to the Chinese ROM. But then I took advantage and went to xiaomi.eu, I am a big fan of their ROMs.
@Hemerson Silva Thank you!
Now WiFi and camera are finally working after installing the China weekly ROM.

Hi,
Does everything work after installing Xiaomi.EU ROM, camera and WIFI all okay?
I also have Chinese Rom on my RN9 pro 5G, after update to 12.5 Chinese finally kill Google services. there is no way to install it anymore, is anyone try to flash EU rom for this device?
or the best way is to flash Xiaomi.eu custom rom?
is like redmi note 9 pro 5g and the MI10T lite are using different wifi chip. anyone using global rom in the redmi note 9 pro 5g model M2007J17C and solve the wifi issue? please can share the rom using. or a way to make it work.
I found this through Google and had a similar problem with my Redmi Note 5 and custom ROMs. The problem with no device drivers is when the "Vendor" partition was not flashed or restored. It is very important to back up that partition as well. Alternatively, the Vendor image can be found in the fastboot ROMs from Xiaomi, extracted and then flashed separately in the recovery (very fiddly, but it's an alternative).

What's the process for extracting the vendor image and flashing it? Before MIFlash I mean, because I'm facing a similar issue with my Redmi Note 10.

you need to download rom from miui update option on setting, re flash and see if you resolve the issue or after flashing do it and a factory reset from recovery. hope to resolve your issue.
Erase Super partitions (Vendor, System, System_ext, ODM, Product), then reflash them manually one by one through fastboot. Don't forget to wipe user data too.

Question GNSS (GPS) Problem after upgrading to Android 12

Hi. I hope someone can help me with a problem with GPS locking.
I have a Chinese LE2120 that has been imported into the Uk. The phone shipped with the international version of Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10.LE15AA. This is on Android 11 and works perfectly. There are no issues with obtaining good satellite lock when using GNSS even when indoors.
The problems started when I accepted a system upgrade to Android 12. On Android 12 I am unable to get a satellite lock when using GNSS even when outdoors. The phone will sometimes lock onto 1 satellite, but that's about it. Restarting the phone will sometimes allow GNSS to obtain a good lock, but it never lasts long. This issues makes using any navigation/mapping apps impossible.
To date I have tried multiple factory resets and tried all versions of the Android 12 system updates that have been offered right up to C61, but the problem still persists. Downgrading back to Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10.LE15AA fixes the problem so I don't believe it to be hardware related.
OnePlus technical support in the UK are unable to help as my phone is a Chinese import. I have been able to find one other report of this issue on the OnePlus forums, but it was never resolved.
I would be very grateful if anyone who has the LE2120 and has successfully upgraded to Android 12 without GNSS/GPS issues could share their gps.conf file in vendor/etc so that I can compare my version to a known working version to try to determine if it is a config issue. Alternative if anyone has had similar issues and managed to resolve them then I would be keen to know what the fix involves.
For now I am back on Android 11 with no issues, but it would be good to be able to obtain the latest security patches.
Thanks in anticipation, Dave.
Hello
I vave the same problem please how can i back to Android 11
Ôv
Hi.
Sorry to hear that you are having problems after upgrading to OOS12. I never did managed to to GPS/GNSS working reliably on OOS12.
There are a couple of things to try before downgrading to OOS11. First of all you have to know that downgrading to OOS11 will wipe your phone. All data and self installed apps will be gone so please make sure that you have a good backup of anything important!
First thing I would try is to wipe the cache partition of the phone. It may work and it certainly won't do any harm and you won't lose any data. The thing is I'm not sure how relevant the cache partition is on Android 12, but worth a try. Instrustions here ... https://www.hardreset.info/devices/oneplus/oneplus-9-pro/wipe-cache/ Be certain to only wipe the cache partition and NOT the data partition. If this works for you then great and please post back to let me know.
If there are still GPS/GNSS problems then next I would update the phone to OOS13 (Android 13) and see if the problems are resolved. When you are on OOS12 you should automatically get offered the OOS13 update in the System Update menu option. If not then install the Oxygen Updater App from the Play Store and get the OOS13 update from there. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater Again, with this option you should not lose any data or apps, but please back anything important up first.
If you still have GPS/GNSS problems then to downgrade to OOS11 please follow these instructions ... https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1534473 Please do remember that this process WILL wipe the phone so backup important data first!
Any problems then please post back here and I'll try to help.
Good luck!
