I have an unlocked US TMO S20 5G that I would like to reset and use in Spain with my Spanish SIM card, but not with all the US TMO firmware etc.
Can I flash a Spanish unbranded/unlocked firmware or should I flash the unbranded US firmware?
Assuming I can flash the Spanish firmware, what are the procedures?
Thanks!
Search for your s20's model number and if there is any unbranded firmware available for that model, only then you can flash that firmware. If you are new to flashing, please take help from someone who knows what he is doing.
Next time if you have any question, please post your model no.

Hello
i don't know if this question was asked before i tried to search but nothing
i came from xperia xz and flashing was just as easy as downloading the FTF and flashing in flash mod
i bought my S9 that was stuck at 1 Dec 2018 software and no new updates are available (even with smart switch) to download so my best solution is to update it manually using ODIN
i used to have a galaxy gear watch and s5 and flashing was also simple but i came across a thread that said something about CSC Version and i am sacred that i may brick the phone while trying to update it
can someone point me in the right directions ?
my CSC : G960FOXM2CRLI
Service provider SW ver.
SAOMC_SM-G960F_OXM_KSA_PP_0002
KSA/EGY, EGY/XSG
baseband version
G960FXXU2CRLI
build number
PPR1.180610.011.G960FXXU2CRLI
and i live in egypt but the phone was sold is KSA if that's matters
any help please ?
thanks in advance

If there are no updated KSA firmwares for your S9, flash any CSC for the G960F, Germany (DBT ) has the latest June update
If you have KSA sim card need to flash KSA firmware with only Home CSC also and if you have EGY sim card and will come OTA downloads
KSA/KSA,KSA/XSG

Well yes you need CSCs to match for OTA, but it is not necessary for normal usage, once my region releases the latest update I will flash back for OTA
so it's normal to flaash any firmware even if the CSC doesn't match? only the phone model number right? flashing on ODIN like thr normal way kust like the s5? nothing else need to be done ? like enabling/disabling stuff on developper options ? OEM unlock? sorry for my noobies questions

Normal if your own region CSC has not updated their firmware yes, but you will not receive OTA updates until the CSCs match and will have to flash manually each update
There is a big thread about it so I'm not going to go into it in detail here, quick search should find what you need
Nothing else needed, boot to download mode and flash with Odin 3.13.1
Thank you

I live in Canada and have a N975W and want to flash the star wars U1 firmware, but before I do I wanna know what happens when you put a Canadian Carrier sim in?!? Will the U1 CSC have Canadian Carrier info preset? Will I have to manually modify to get things like MMS to work? Or does the U1 firmware have Canadian stuff preloaded that gets triggered with the Sim card?
Thanks
Nobody?

The American CSC does not contain information for Canadian carriers. After you flash the American U1 firmware, flash the Canadian CSC. There is only one CSC for Canada, and it contains information for all the Canadian carriers (Bell, Rogers, Telus, etc.). After flashing the Canadian CSC, when you insert a SIM from a Canadian carrier it applies the settings for your carrier's VoLTE, wi-fi calling, APN, etc.
If you flash Canadian CSC after flashing full U1 firmware will it not effect the U1 firmware? The CSC file is so large I'm wondering how it will effect the U1 firmware. Anyone do this yet? Do I need to use modified Odin?
Have you done this? Does flashing a different CSC effect the firmware?

I would appreciate any input from someone who has tried this please. I really want to flash the star wars Android 10 for U1 on my 975W but am afraid that CSC will be different and not sure If flashing CSC from a different firmware will work as the file is so big.
if it doesnt work, you just flash back to stock firmware and csc.
just make sure its for the same processor.
OK, so, I flashed first Star Wars Android 9 version of U1 firmware to test and it works perfectly. Booted up with Canadian carrier sim and it loaded all APN settings. Everything works perfectly.
Flashed Android 10 version of Star Wars U1 firmware and its all good.
So you can load U1 firmware on N975W unlocked version. Same hardware and works in both countries. Do not even need Canadian CSC.
Do not load the HOME CSC file. It will wipe everything but its worth it. Firmware is solid and beautiful.
By flashing unlocked firmware, did you get rid of any carrier bloatware?
Can I ask you guys an info? I own N975u1, on first boot It haven't Greek language and I choose it later at setting. Does N975w on first boot has Greek language? So I install N975w firmware to solve my problem?(some settings remains in English).
975W is Canadian model and i have it on my note 10+ with carrier esk or eastlink if you wish to know what carrier esk stands for. If you are trying to get your phone to show Greek language I do not believe the 975w firmware would be a good choice. It lets you select which country you are from when you start up a freshly formatted phone but I have never selected any language other than Canada which is English. Just thought I would let you know that my model is also a Snapdragon chipset and I don't know if you can Flash another firmware unless you unlock Bootloader and I do not know if that is possible currently on a Snapdragon chipset Note 10.

The only phones with an unlockable bootloader are the N9750 (chineese variant) and Exynos models.
Can you please be more specific with what you are looking for within regards to firmware. Other then the information/answers posted in the first page of this thread I saw this thread, but depending on what your looking for specifically the post may not be of any help.
Also be aware that if you want to retain full compatibility with Virgin then you shouldn't go messing around with the firmware. Flashing other firmware (especially for US models) can result in things not working the way they would normally.

OK, so only the exynos version of my phone is oem unlockable? I am just trying to be able to root my phone, i figured if I could flash an oem unlocked firmware while keeping my carrier then I would be able to do so.

Only firmware for OEM UNLOCK switch in developer menu is exynos models. I found other sites on the net stating SM-N975W Snapdragon can be bootloader unlocked but i tried them all and none worked. DO NOT flash exynos firmware on Snapdragon model as you may ruin your phone or void warranty. Luckily mine still shows official and knox counter didn't get tripped. Sorry, wish I had better news 4 ya.

I don't think the US firmware T-mobile CSC will work in this case, I have not seen anything suggesting it's use is possible for this scenario..
Also if you search SamMobile for the firmware for your device and don't see T-Mobile firmware you will probably need to use custom firmware (with the features added) and root the device (required for custom firmware).
big thanks dude
is it possible to push tmobile CSC file into international version phone ?

You could probably flash it if the files were released for the model of phone you are using (of which you have not said). At that rate your best off just flashing the carrier firmware itself to ensure full compatibility.
Looking at SamMobile I can find T-Mobile carrier firmware for the N975F, N9750, N975W and N9760
Hello
I've bought Note 10+ 5g, From about phone>software info It was with code (SM-N975F) and 2-SIM work well and fully support Arabic language.
When I entered DOWNLOAD mode, I found the product name is SM-N976N and Carrier id id KOO.
I've flashed the latest version of SM-N975F and the device worked without Arabic, and the 2-SIMs BOTH don't work, at all.
Now, I'm downloading SM-N976Q, which is directed to Suadia Arabia, which support Arabic, BUT I'm NOT SURE if it might support 2-SIMs to work.
I'm in this problem since 3 days. What is ur opinion?
Thanks in advance
I also have same problem , I have bought SM-N976N but I think the company had flashed SM-N975F firmware in it before and it was running android 11os I think it's refurbished course I don't receive update nor security updates, so I tried updating it firmware manually using odin from android 11 to android 12 model number SM-N975 firmware , but doesn't work it refused to flash with error saying repetition fail .
I have now flashed it with KOO version of SM-N976N android 12 but my problem is that the phone is not recognizing sims or carrier in it (not even 3G or 4G) I'm from Nigeria.
So my question is , how can I flash back N975f cz my region will be covered in it. Because samsung has not launched a PAK version of firmware of SM-N976N.
Please help how will I be able to get my sims working in Nigeria with or without root? Please help anyone.
Hello, I currently have an SM-N976N.
I bought refurbished and live in Ireland.
I am looking for a compatible firmware that's not Korean but not having much luck. I can't flash anything in Odin except n976n firmware, and even that didn't seem to get rid of the sky telecom provider bloatware and branding.
I can provide CSC etc if anyone thinks they can help! Looking for something like a global or UK Ireland Unlocked like the B...
tried to flag KOO firmware...I used CSC as opposed to home Csc but I also used userdata file in Odin as well.
The sk splash screen and bloatware is still present.. There was a warning or info message on phone after I flashed, and then it rebooted again. I couldn't read it as it was in Korean.
Also, if there's no way to change to a euro firmware, is there any way to change bootloader/recovery/download language?
