Exactly.
I've a Singapore L29 C636 version being used in USA.. I got 11.0.0.138 today and can confirm I didn't find any such feature.. Its the most missed feature for me since I moved from LG to Huawei.. Mate 20x is a really big, heavy phone.. Having double tap to wake screen without lifting the oyone is definitely helpful
Thanks...these days I have been experimenting with face unlock when the phone is on the wireless charging dock on the desk. I touch the power button and the face unlock opens it. Or, I use the stylus to double tap the screen and then enter the pin, if face unlock is off. I don't like face unlock, it feels too insecure for me.

No, it relates to the speed of charging. WiFi charging is slower than cable charging. But I found this device, when paired with the right WiFi charging dock, quite quick enough for me.

cool, frog hopped the AL00 again which is on 11.0.0.130 currently. good to see Huawei still rolling out updates, will be less frequent starting with this year for our beloved 20x.
correct @1300 mA refers to charging. at 5000 mAh battery capacity, charging rate of 1300 mA would take roughly 5000 mAh / 1300 mA = 3.85 h to fully charge from 0 to 100%.
Wireless charging receivers overall aren't really worth it. Apart from the long charging time, you need a good charger preferably OEM and you need to position it in the right angle for optimal charging otherwise it can be quite disappointing if after waiting many hours you come back to your phone and find it in the same batt gauge it was when you first tried to charge it.
I half agree with that. The first desk charger I tried was indeed intermittent. But I swapped it for a Nillkin model with an adjustable charging pad. This let me set the pad in just the right spot. Now I can drop the phone onto the desk stand without a thought and it charges reliably. Of course the charging animation is seen.
Speed is also an issue. I get 1050mah charging or so with this adapter. Not high speed by any means but good enough for me.
The other downside is the hassle of having to remove the charging pad (take off case, unstick pad, slide out fragile charging ribbon) to use a regular charging cable. So it's not a good solution if you want to swap back and forth. But for a total of about £32 it gives me some useful convenience.

You happen to be one of the lucky ones. Yes not all wireless charging pads are the same. If you want to buy a good one avoid the cheap ones that sell for $3 on aliexpress.

Don't know if I totally believe it and no word on pricing but fingers crossed, cuz I want it.
I sure hope the story is slightly incorrect:
In order to use the kit, a special case must be applied to the phone's body, then the user must place the handset in the dock and it will automatically charge.

I don't follow your logic. That's how wireless charging has always worked. You replace the battery cover with the wireless charging cover.

yea... seeing as how they say that it's applied to the phone's "body"... and not just "to the phone".... i don't see why it would be any different from the one Verizon had.

At 89.50$ plus shipping it's a little steep, though. And I would have liked to have some images of the product rather than the phone. I know what the phone looks like already.

Lol. With this case you can probably last 4-5 days with the z3c
Ridiculous price...$89.50
You can BUY n°5 10.000mah rapid charge external battery.......and you can use your z3c for 2 months.

Does anyone have this for their Z3 compact? Does it fit snugly and clip on properly?
Thats actually a really awesome idea with using the mag charging ports! if it were 50 bucks i would get one right now
I'd love to see this case in a video, just to get a good look at its proportions etc. It is pricey....but I'd probably just spend the cash on car parts anyway.....

You asked for it
1. I would like to see photos of the phone with and without the case lying on a flat surface, to get am idea of how thick it is.
2. When you use the case, does the phone think it's constantly being charged? What amount of days shows you ultrastamina mode?
3. How long does it take to charge fully?
4. Do you notice any overheating issues after using the case for some time?
Thanks, that's all I can think of at the moment

The case has a button on the rear of the case to enable the charging process. When the case is deactivated the phone behaves as it would without the case. With the case activated it behaves as it would when sitting in a charging dock or with a magnetic charging cable attached.
The only 'downside' so far to the use of magnetic charging port is that when the case is activated the phone believes it is in a 'dock' and automatically answers phone calls with the loud speaker on.
But I have found mention of an xposed module that may rectify this automation, I will report back with a link when I have tested to confirm its effect.
I am studying all this week so give me a little while to fully answer all your questions, but I will answer them
Photos
Here are some photos that hopefully show the case and it's proportions well enough.
I'm no photographer by any means though haha.
Oh and ignore the metal dome stuck onto the back of it, that's for my car mount.
That looks so bad!
While it is awesome to have 5 days battery life, this is for special occasions only in my opinion.

oh I agree. I wanted it mainly as an alternative to carrying a separate power bank hanging off the phone via USB cable. At least this case attaches neatly to the phone and can still fit my pocket.
So yes, ugly, but highly practical.
I feel I should also mention the build quality is really very good, it feels very solid.

Well, given the info on their homepage it should last at least twice as long as your phone does now.
built in battery is 2600mAH, the mugen brings an additional 3000mAh. So I guess in Ultra-Stamina mode it basically lasts like an old Nokia? I was actually about ordering one for my upcoming transatlantic flight, but I just saw that they'll ship again in mid-June only
Well, I will receive the mugen battery in 10 days, I don't use ultra stamina but stamina is on all the time so I will see exactly the difference. Now I have between 8 and 10 hours sot, if I have between 16 and 20 hours sot, it's just great so I wait to see ?.

Any more impressions now that you've had it for a short while? I'm really temped to buy one too.. it's just one of those "good-to-have" things.
Also, do you charge it via micro usb, like the smartphone and how long does it take to charge the battery case completely?
Btw, do we already know the size of the Z4 Compact? it would be great if it worked on the upcoming model too..

So far so good! I do intend to put some more stats up from my usage I've just been flat out with university. Luckily that all wraps up next week!
Yep it just charges via the same cable as the phone.
The use of the magnetic charging port definitely makes the case much more useful. I had an epic ZeroLemon case for my note 3 with a built in extended battery and it such an ordeal to install and remove the phone from the case. This is a much better solution.
It's hard to measure the effect it has on predicted battery life because it charges via the magnetic charging port the phone recognises it as an AC charging source.
Once I have got some stats I might even make a little youtube review, maybe, don't want to get famous hahahaha.
Hello guys;
So i just bought my new One plus 3 yesterday and i feel from the first day of using it an electricity in my hands
so im worried is that dangerous for health?
and this electricity happens cause of the dash charging?
and can be avoided if i use a normal charger?
and BTW i did not use it while charging.
Really? Maybe try turn the phone off and see if you can feel the same thing.

OK thank you, but as I said. I don't use my phone while charging, I felt the electrical tingles when it is not plugged in.
What country are you in? North American plugs need to be plugged in the right way - plugging it in upside down will cause that electric feeling to happen.

That's a problem in your home electric wiring to be specific it's ground (earthing) related problem. You don't have to worry about it. It's quite normal if you remove screen protector you will also feel it on your screen (gorilla glass)
Strange. You are not related to Thor in anyway?
I would recommend checking the wiring in your house, have an expert to diagnose the issue. There seems to be a bad ground on that plug.

LG G7 has also a LCD display, but it has AOD. So has nothing to do with LCD
Car can also sail,it doesnt mean it's a smart idea.
Same for LCD screens and AOD.(aka keeping my screen turned on all the time draining battery like there's no tomorrow, had it on G6 with 2h of sot lol...opposing to AMOLED screens which have only few pixels turned on for AOD purposes while others are shut off thus giving almost the same battery life with AOD as without )

AOD is meant for people that put it on a stand or a wireless charger stand, as I do. It has nothing to do with LCD or Amoled, it is a choice :good:
No it isn't. Fact that only two LG's lowest selling phones are using it in history of lcd screens shows its a stupid choice.
And no it is not ment as a night stand **** it's ment as a permanent and advanced substitution of notification led.
99% of ppl don't use stands of any kinds and look for notifications while phone is off the charger/stand etc.
99%? Give me a link where you got this information, you made me curious

I already have it .. I had Honor Note 10 there was.. but I sold NOte10 because it was china version only google not supported 100%
But I didn't have always it on but there was additional ''turbo'' button for gamez but it also showed temporary always on display so I just pressed it once and showed it for 5 seconds .. I used it espec next to bed or when I woke up early ..
So now that I have a pre-order secured, I'm trying to find something equivalent to magsafe to use as a vehicle mount. Is there an established standard for this phone, or is it a choose-your-own-adventure sort of thing still?
I'm hoping to find something that sticks magnetically, charges wirelessly, and doesn't interfere with NFC.

I learned it was not user repairable after I ordered it, but before it was delivered. I only played with it for an hour or so before returning it. It's too bad because I really liked the phone, but I just won't tolerate a company treating me like that.
I'll do the same with the Pixel if it turns out to be similar. Based on the initial camera module report, I wouldn't be surprised if I just keep using my ancient V20 for even longer.
FWIW, the pro max did sit on my counter powered on idle for several days and only lost maybe 20% per the meter. I never put a SIM in it though, so that might have helped.
