Sideload Android TV apps to Fire TV?

Is it possible to sideload apps designed for Android TV onto the Fire TV?

I have not tried it, but most or all will not run. Android TV is based on Android 5.0, Fire OS is based on Android 4.2, any apps designed specifically for Android TV won't work.

Bummer. Just as well there aren't any we want.

Sony KD-43x8000E Android 9.0 update

Hi everyone,
I have a Sony KD43x8000E Android TV and its currently on Android 8.0.
I wanted to know if there's an Android 9.0 update available for this model/version? We have another TCL Android TV at home and that has already been upgraded to Android 9 a few weeks ago.
I just upgraded the firmware to this version:

It updated the android security patch to Jan 2020 from May 2019, but it hasn't upgraded the Android version.

TCL SEMP 50P615

Hi,
I decided do a factory reset and install Google TV on my TCL SEMP 50P615
After the install, i noticed my UI was different and with the old version of Android TV.
I did the version and system updates and installed the Google TV Propely. After install the Google TV UI I couldn't run the launcher. I was figuring out, how to set Google TV UI as the default Android TV launcher. Anyone knows?

Os Version: V5.2.0(V8-2204190-MF1V520)
