FM Radio App. - TCL 10 Pro Questions & Answers

I live in the UK and here the TCL 10 Pro has had the FM Radio app removed. I wondered if anyone had a copy of the radio .apk from another region that I could try to install on my device please?
I use the radio quite a bit, and was disappointed to see that it wasn't included here in the UK. I use it to listen to my own transmitter that I have for blasting my own music to my 1950's valve (tube) radios on both FM and AM.

I have the T799b version. Used APK Export from Google Play to extract the system app. If you need another system app let me know.
Radio v3.1948.05.1093.0

Sadly didn't work on mine... TCL from Portugal sadly also have no radio app neither Smart Key settings

Sorry for the delay in replying, I'm not using the TCL 10 daily at the minute.
I installed the app, it shows a lovely Radio icon, but it instantly closes when I open it.
Perhaps the FM radio hardware is missing in the T799H?
Many thanks @JayTM, I appreciate you taking the time to extract and upload the app.

Same problem here on spain. Android 10 v2.0.4D.I.W, last update before android 11.
The box says it's model T799H-2BLCWE12, and the phone T799H_EEA.
I tried to use the apk that you shared, and didn't work too. Everywhere says that this phone has radio fm, even in spanish websites.
Someone knows how to check if the fm tuner exists in this model?
Someone with a T799H has the fm app in android 10?

desire's fm radio

Can anyone shed some light on the topic?
What are the options in this application, is it 88mhz-108?
Can I use my normal headphones or do I need to use the ones that came with it?
Can I save stations? Can I listen to the radio and browse the internet at the same time? Are there any videos available showing it in action?
1) it`s an FM radio so 88 to 108 only
2) Yes u can.
2) You can save stations and yes you can listen radio and do anything else (e.g surf the web). For videos try youtube.
Can someone confirm that RDS isn't working? If so, could this be a hardware or software missing feature?
Thanks.
RDS - Definately NOT working on mine, no idea if either hard or software related...sorry...but picks up a lot more stations than my (now sold) HD2.
If RDS is the thing which tells the handset what station it is (eg BRMB, Radio 1) then yes, RDS works for me.

Doesn't appear to work on mine.
RDS works fine for me.. finds Radio 1, Rock Radio, Classic, Key 103 (these in Manchester).
Works pretty well on my Desire!!
RDS doesn't work for me either. Berlin/Germany. Maybe this feature is location based?

Looking for Radio app that displays song information

Hello friends, I searched here and found nothing about it, then I ask for help from you to help me with radio apps. One app you tune in local stations, which also appears the name of the singer and song name, already researched the market but without success, but have online radios, I like the app radio standard from SGS, but it seems that no this function to show the music data, or have one?? I did not think that the related option. Thanks.
I don't think that information can be readily displayed through an RDS stream without the station providing the data first. I know in my car stereo I get a lot of info when listening to BBC Radio1 in the UK but it is just a basic description of what the channel is broadcasting. I may be wrong (would like a radio app that does what you want too) but I don't think it can be done unless maybe you use a song recognition app like Midomi or Shazam to find out what the songs are
hhhmmmm ok i trying search
TuneIn Radio
I found TuneIn Radio was really good. Check it out. Dunno if it's exactly what you're looking for.
Its all upto your radio station to send the data out on RDS, If they don't then too bad.
What about creating a radio app that in the background uses the Shazaam-service to find the title of the song?

[Q] FM Radio CM7.1, Scan stations?

I just rooted and flashed CM7.1. It's working perfectly and is blazing fast.
I need to take a few trips to Canada in the next couple weeks. Normally for my radio needs I would use streaming radio (car FM radio is broken in my 99 Accord, aux works fine), but since I want to avoid data roaming charges that's not an option.
I tested out the FM Radio and it works just fine. Strong signal and everything. The only problem is I can't scan for stations. I tried Spirit FM but the scan function doesn't seem to work.
Anyone got a solution for me?
I use TuneIn Radio so I can listen to NPR on the way to work. I just realized you can browse stations by country too! May want to check it out.

Any suggestions for a good FM radio/tuner?

I want an FM radio/tuner. I just reROMed my phone to Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, and lost the original FM radio app. I don't use mobile internet, so can't stream stations, so I need a regalar FM radio.
I searched Google Play, but they all seem to be streaming apps, except FM Two 0: which says it won't run on my phone as it doesn't have reckogised RDS hardware. FM Radio by Sutton Shin, doesn't do anything, just sits there saying FM Radio is being launched. Please wait...
Spirit FM Radio is a "pay for" app, which I don't have problem with, but would like to know if it actually works on the Gio.
SPIRITFM works fine
Thanks, I'll give it a go.

I tried all apps avaliable for Gio and SpiritFM is the only one that works other than the stock radio app.
I also tried lot's of radio apps, but the only one's i liked are TuneIn Radio Pro and XiiaLive. TuneIn seems to be the best with unlimited radio stations and new ones added periodically. If you want it free Xiia live iyour choice.
But i advice you to try TuneIn Radio Pro ( it gets lot's of local radio stations too).

FM radio app in combination firmware G960U

I flashed a combination file for both G960U and G965U s9 and S9plus. I saw a radio FM app which has record feature. So I searched it up, and found the apk here, https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...samsung-radio/samsung-radio-3-0-31-6-release/... I downloaded it and tried to install but always saying unable to install. How to install this plz? Check attached picture. Thanks.
Solution: NextRadio
I think Samsung intends the use of NextRadio, which can be found on the Play Store. NextRadio supports the hardware FM radio built into the S9. It also supports streaming over your wireless or data network. I decided to revoke NextRadio's permissions to use the network, in what I hope is a way to prevent yet another vendor collecting personal information about how I use my phone.
You'll see that NextRadio is actually using your built-in hardware by turning on airplane-mode, and connecting a wired headset to the 3.5MM jack.
