Help with my Android based kitchen robot Chefbot Touch - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi,
I'm pretty new here and need some help/opinions on how to upgrade my kitchen robot running Android 7.0. I have recently bought IKOHS chefbot touch and it's a great machine apart from the recepy book is very low on recipes and the company is not updating them quick enough. So, I decided to look into possibly upgrading the recipe book/making my own new recipec and uploading them to the device. I have found two usb's on the bottom under small cover and one of them is to connect with the pc which I did. It only showes as removable storage but no folders. I have also found that if you click on the serial number on the screen in the about section, it comes up with system setting asking for password (I would imagine is to get into developer options) and of course I don't know the password. It's 8 characters minimum. So my question is, can I root this device to access the files and how? Also, is there any way to bypass the password and get to the system settings as I will need the usb debugging enabled I guess. I have attached some pictures. I don't know where to start with this and any help would be appreciated.

I wait some answer too. I want to add muy propierty recetes

I follow the discussion! Could be usefull customize the recype book!

Me too interesting..
. If some expert...

Following. My other annoyance with this product is it was originally advertised that you could use the screen for internet browsing and YouTube etc but there is no option to do this.
Touch screen SoftTouch ScreenTouchScreen full color touch screen, you will see the pre-installed recipes, play multimedia content and follow all the steps without missing anything.

Hi, I am in the same situation, anyone can help us? we need to see where is the receipts saved.

I have bought a kitchen robot from the TAURUS brand, the "Trending Cooking" model. It is exactly the same in this model and the recipes are the same. I put some photos. I am also waiting to find a solution to be able to put my own recipes via USB. Greetings

Incredible. I just found another brand of the same kitchen robot: SOGO. I put the link. Will anyone find a solution to put recipes? https://sogo.es/product-detail.aspx?id=1267

But how many brands are there of the same model? I have found two more. Locating the manufacturer is going to be more complicated than I expected.

Hi all, I have an update on this matter. I still wasn't able to access the recipe book but have made small progress this morning by accident lol. I have managed to access the android menu and allow usb debugging. To do this, you have to tap on "Website" several times and straight after that quickly tap on "SN". This will open the android settings. I didn't try anything else yet as no time to research what I can do next but maybe somebody here who can take it from here? I'm thinking maybe to install android GUI? So can swap between the mixer gui and android and be able install different apps install and access file manager? Anybody who can help here? Any help would be much appreciated.
Btw, if you tap several times on "serial number" line, it will open a promt for password to open some OldTest and the password is 12345678, who would though about that haha
Thanks

Stay unlocked - Here is the solution

Hi!
I just wanted to share this little utility, because i think many others might have the same issue. If you use are receiving mails from your company and your settings in the Hermes has been changed because of security-reasons - Here is the help you might be looking for ...
Im talking about the LOCK feature being disabled, so that you can not change it to TURN OFF LOCK.. Well.. If you run the utility on your device, it will change the registry and let you change it again.. It will also make sure that when the company security changes it back - it will fix it again.. Works smoooooooothly...
Enjoy !!!
I have installed it. Howdo I run it? I cannot find it under Programs.
I would like to run it only when I am using TomTom. How do I do it?

hi guys, please download the latest version, which I decided to enhance recently after first released this program more than 2 years ago.
http://www.zenyee.com/2008/10/19/stay-unlock-goes-20-after-two-years/
The new version has a UI to enable or disable the overriding of the security policy set by your exchange server.
It also allows you to override the time out value that's also enforced by your exchange server, something that a few folks have requested as there are people who still wish to have device lock enabled but only after a longer time out instead of the one set by the exchange server.
Finally the program will run silently in the background, and the activities logged in a log file instead of popping up with dialog box or notification bubble. So no more issue with Stay Unlock not overriding the enforced policy due to the pop up box (reported in the smartphone version)
for both Smartphone version and Pocket PC version (WM5 and above)

Hi all...
I've been developing bits and pieces of stuff on my phone for my own use and I thought I'd share this with you. Unfortunately it's only useful for people who live in Sydney as it relies on 131500.com.au (locals will know what I'm talking about). Although that service has its own "Mobile" version webpage, I find it very inefficient to type in addresses and not have it remember my last selection - especially since I'm usually already in a hurry if I ever find myself needing to check the timetables.
It's a tiny (but multi-threaded for uber-fast interface) program (30kbs) that remembers your last To/From train stations and will directly fetch the timetable for trains in the next hour in a WebBrowser control. And a single-button (reverse) that gives you the same timetable for the other direction on your way home.
Note: uses internet data! - but only a single page. Probably 1kb or so each time?
Limitations (as by the 131500 mobile service): unable to directly give timetable for connecting trains. ie: both stations must be on the same line
Requires: .NET Compact Framework
Compatible with QVGA/VGA/WVGA devices. But I'm posting under blackstone forum because that's the phone I use
Freeware - and all comments/suggestions etc welcomed. Many thanks!
P.S. At uni now.. so i've only included a crude screenshot. I'll post a proper one if i get a fair bit of interest in this. thanks
hey mate do you think it would be possible to do up a brisbane one?
If there's a website that allows you to look up the brisbane timetables I don't see why not. alternatively if you can source a soft copy of the timetable?
www.qr.com.au
are you able to grab it from there?
Very useful, thanks!

I've just sent an email to QR. Will see what they say first..
It's good but don't like the fact it connects to the net to get the info.
If you look at timetables, they are mostly always the same, so you can get the info currently right now and make an offline version in which the times are accessible whenever and whenever there might be a new timetable, such as the new Chatswood lines, there could be an update button just to get the new times.
Other than that, good start but definitely needs an offline version.

Joying 130 users, quick question. What is your keymap and touchmap in factory option

I'm having an issue w/ the SRC button not doing a thing so I'm curious what yours are set to. Also, does your source button work? here is a pic of the unit for reference.

Someone has to have one of these, help me out guys.

I think there's an xposed module that lets you reassign the buttons. What Rom are you using?
I have an Eanon GA2114 though.

Joying and the module and even logging don't show anything
I just installed this same unit today. When I press the SRC button, it toggles through the preinstalled Radio, Music, Video and AV In apps. I'd actually like to change these if possible. The factory Video and Music app aren't that great. I'd rather have it toggle through the apps I installed for these functions.
Can you do me a favor or two. 1. Go into factory settings and tell me your keymap and touchnmap settings? Also could you tell me the keycode that is displayed if i linked you to a program? You can uninstall it after, I really want to find this keycode.
If you don't use mtc-keys these would work:
This, this , or this
Thanks much,
Dave
I may need a walk through to get the information you need. Been an android user for a long time, but I'm a noob when it comes to these android radios.
But I'm trying to learn.
Vert - I'll grab a photo of my settings when I head back down to my car a little later today.
Thank you very much. Could you also quickly install this, open it, check my events, logcat and kernel and then press the SRC button and let me know what you see in the log? You'll the image below. You'll have to go back into the program as src will open one of your media apps.

Pretty easy. The touchmap/keymap info can be found in settings | factory settings | type 126 | and go to the tab that shows keymap and touchmap.
Dave
I exported the DMCU from the key settings tab in factory settings.
Its dmcu.cfg -- useful? Happy to upload.
It can't hurt I suppose. I'm not exactly sure what that file has but I'll research it. Did you have an import setting as well? I don't even know if I can decompile that DMCU.img file as I remember trying before. With that said, do you have this exact unit? Can you tell me what your keymap and touchmap option numbers are?
Thanks
Dave
if you could also let me know what MCU version you have.
Thanks

Generic Chinese WinCE6 car multimedia system, can't get in to change things

This past July I bought one of those 2 DIN radios off ebay for my 88 corvette. Seller name: Hizpo. Link to the ebay page: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Double-2-DI...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
I believe it's one of those "double board" units where it runs WinCE6 on one board and android on the other to run IGO9 for navigation. Here's all the hardware/software information I can get out of it:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can get into all the factory menus (have the codes), but that's all I can get out of it. I can't even get into the WinCe OS side of things. It just boots up and goes straight to the graphic overlay and no option to get out of it other than turning on the IGO9 Nav. Turn the nav off and it goes straight back to the Graphic overlay. Only once did I actually see the WinCE desktop flash as it swapped back from IGO to the Media player overlay/interface.
I've tried several suggestions I've googled on how to get in to the OS, but nothing works. Everything from programs that run from the SD card to renaming programs (ie: WRtools, Totalcommander, etc) to the Nav software address and trying to launch them. No dice. The head unit resists them all and refuses to show me it's secrets.
The thing is, I'm actually good with the way it works. The only thing I want to change is the boot logo. There are dozens of logo's pre-loaded, but there's only one "Chevrolet" symbol and I would prefer a custom Corvette logo.So I need to find a way to load it up to the proper directory. I'm good with making up muy own logo's in Photoshop with the proper file format, image size, color palate, etc.
I'm not exactly what you would call a "programmer", but I can get around well enough. I used to build carpc's so I'm not totally lost in this type of thing. But I just don't seem to have the right skills/knowledge to get into the OS in order to slip in a custom boot logo.
To re-state, I can change the wallpaper and the boot logo, I just can't find a way to load up a custom boot logo. I'm assuming it is in the winCE6 side of the unit.
I've got an email into the seller to see if I can get a copy of the original firmware so I can use something to crack that open (I used to use Reshacker when I built Car PC's) and see where they are hiding the boot logos. But I don't hold out a lot of hope they will actually have the firmware or that they''ll send it to me. They haven't been overly knowledgeable on other questions, outside of what the access codes were to change the boot logo and the factory settings menu from within the OS itself.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get into the guts of the unit?
Besides hitting it with a large hammer that is.....
So I've managed to get a copy of the firmware from the seller. But it's just a bin files and some extensions I don't understand. Anyone know how I might get in to see where the boot logos are?
I'm not looking to change anything, the radio works fine for me as it is. I would just like to add a a custom "corvette" boot up logo....
Hmmm, I guess this part of the forum is pretty dead seeing as it deals with windows CE, which is pretty much defunct these days....

Hacking the Philips Screeneo U4

Hi, I am not sure, whether this is the right position to post for the Screeneo U4 because it is a projector and no TV. So if it is wrong here, sorry for that and the moderators might move it to the right place. But it is running Android TV.
I recently received a Philips Screeneo U4 ultra short throw projector. This projector uses Android TV and I did some research. I thought that somebody might be interested in the results. The screenshots show german Text but the steps should be self explanatory, so I did not change the language of the machine.
The first impression is that they use their own launcher on that machine which hides “normal” Android. But not totally .

If you go to Settings and there to serial number, press OK on the remote five times. Then you find a hidden menu. Once there go to ABDDemo and you will find the standard Android developer options. On my machine they were already activated. Go to USB-Debugging, activate it and you have standard USB-Debugging access with all adb-commands working. I also activated file transfer as standard usb-setting. The projector then shows as maxtv on your computer with the standard directories in the internal storage.
If you transfer an apk-file to InstallableApps it can be installed on the machine with the app-installer in the hidden directory. You could also use adb shell commands for installing.
In that menu you also find an entry called settings which leads to another standard android settings menu. Showing for example Wifi-Settings although there is no Wifi on board.
So far the first research steps. I would be interested whether there are other owners of that projector who know more and would also be interested in suggestions to do deeper research. And might be suggestions for useful software to try.

Hello and thank you for the information, I have connected a key with two apk, IPTV and Kodi in usb but I do not see them, you are talking about ADB shell but how to connect it since there is no integrated wifi or RJ45 network cable, can you help me please?
fabio
Hello,
you have to transfer the files to the Installable Apps directory (see above).
I use the connection to the projector which I have, when connecting an usb-cable to the computer.
Kodi would probably make sense for media on a connected harddisk or stick if Kodi recognizes those. I did not try this. But the installed vlc media player does quiet a good job in playing videos and music.
I do not see the point with IPTV without any Network connection. I did not manage to activate Wifi or ehternet via usb - did you?
