I got my new 7t 1907 unlocked with global firmware android 10 from B&H and my gf noticed she could hear me typing/scratching in the background "clear as day". Coming from an LG phone, that was very unusual, so I searched around for the settings in dialer app for noise cancellation and there was no setting! Is there a secret menu to adjust this? Or is this some sort of arbitrarily premium feature intentionally left out of the 7t?
You might be able to fix this by changing the build.prop option on your phone to these:
Code:
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
persist.audio.fluence.voicecall=true
persist.audio.fluence.voicerec=true
persist.audio.fluence.speaker=true
There is also the option for fluencetype=fluencepro.
Let me know if that works for you.
Tried the aforementioned settings,
ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
Always reverts back to "none" on reboot using FKM

Very curious what the issue was, and how it was resolved. I went the Asus Support chat route, and was supremely disappointed when they sent me to their website, had me do a reset, a reinstall of the Zenwatch Manager, then decided it must be a hardware issue, and told me it would need to be sent in to be serviced.
If cover to mute doesnt work, and the app wont save the selection when I click apply...but cover works for other features....why blame the watch hardware? Seems more likely to be a phone software issue than watch hardware.
Support had no clue. The watch is saying install android wear, the phone indicates that Zenwatch Manager requires and uses Android Wear configuration, and the guy is telling me I dont need to install Android Wear. Very frustrating half hour!
Not working for me either
I can't get incoming calls (Nexus 5, stock Lollipop 5.0.1) to mute using the feature either. Could it be related to the fact that I wear the watch on my right wrist?
nah, sounds like a hardware issue... send it in for service.

Are you putting your palm ON the watch? That's what I have to do with my Moto 360.
cover to mute
What's odd, is cover with palm does work for other things....if you want to return to dismiss whatever is on screen, and return to the watch screen, so the cover function works! And the phone calls can be answered or dismissed from the watch with a right or left swipe. Its just that function in zenwatch manager.
Here was my solution
I had this problem too, and found a solution.
PROBLEM: On my phone, in the Zenwatch Manager app, under the "Cover to Mute" setting, I would tick the box next to "Incoming call", then "apply", but when I would go back into that setting, the box would be unticked.
SOLUTION:: On the WATCH, start FoneHelper (touch the clock to get the main menu--where it says "speak now" up top--scroll down and press the menu item "start", scroll and press "fonehelper). You will then have the option to toggl "Cover to Mute." I was able to enable the setting from that screen.
*Incidentally, when I do it that way, I can immediately see that choice reflected on my phone, in the Zenwatch Manager App. I still cannot use the Zenwatch Manager to enable this setting, but I've succesfully done it via my watch multiple times.
Hopefully this is helpful for someone else as well.
Confirmed resolution!

That's it! Even Asus support was stumped, but that setting is the cause/solution!
Thanks for taking the time to provide such a well written response! Thanks again! +++
Thank you so much. Having the same problem and this totally fixed it for me!
On Nexus 5 and Android 5.1 installed this does not help. Problem is, that Watch put Phone into "Interrupt priority" state, which allows only important events to ring or vibrate. But this setting does not prevent ring or vibration, which is already in progress during the incoming call. I tried to use Takser app to set Silent mode on, ringer off, vibrate off, interrupt mode to None - but none of them helped. It can mute the ringer, but not the vibration. But then i figured out the solution. First, you need a rooted phone. Then create Tasker profile for variable set event "%INTERRUPT~priority". This will trigger event, when Watch will set the phone to "interrupt priority state". Create a task for this profile to just simulate pressing volume down key: select Button action to do this. This will completly mute the call.
Also, ASUS support told me, that this issue will be fixed in android 5.1.1 in the middle of may.
Every phone I've had before the 10 has given me the option to change the voicemail notification sound. Doesn't look like I can do it on the 10 though (looked everywhere you would expect)
My last resort, is changing the sound in xposed gravity box - ultimate notification, but don't know the module name that I would need to access to overide default settings.
Any help appreciated

im on sprint and the voicemail notification settings is in the voicemail app under "voicemail settings - sound - notifications" if that helps you
I set two time profiles to control dnd setting automatically for the night.
First I set it to priority. Second profile then resets it to none as that removes the priority icon from toolbar. I realised that all sounds are gone after that.
If I set it to all, priority icon stays in status bar.
I tried also to do just a single profile with ending time, but that also left priority icon to the bar.
Is there a way to get priority mode to work with tasker?
What are you trying to achieve? If it's setting DnD for the night automatically, you don't need tasker for it. Have you tried using automatic rules in DnD settings?

Very funny.. We have alert slider, so automatic rules gone. Back on trees.

I have same issue and I can't find solution yet. I use set volume as workaround.
Oneplus seriously damaged DnD. Shame.

Adjusting volume is not that good.. Nothing comes through with that. I'd like to be reachable by phone for known callers. I quess we have to wait cyanogen to fix the rom
I've had the same issue. Tasker will remove the 'priority' status but screws up the volumes. The only way round it at the moment is to leave slider in normal, use tasker to set priority when needed, then on return to 'normal' from tasker move slider to mid position then back to normal. This seems to reset volumes back to normal. Hopefully oneplus can sort out this DND issue and allow software to override the slider.

I've found a way. Leave slider in mid position (priority) and use the inbuilt priority settings to allow normal audio to be heard. I've got tasker to set DND to priority and volume to 3. When full DND is needed, set tasker DND to 'alarms'. This kills all audio except alarms. Use tasker to go back to DND 'priority' for normal use. This does leave a constant priority notification at the top but audio seems to work. By using tasker/audio/silent mode, you can create a vibrate only mode that stops audio but keeps vibrate notifications with respect to the priority mode settings at a system level.

Good catch! You can delete the constant priority notification through Customisation/ Status bar

Nice one! You can then add custom tasker notify icons to display silent or vibrate modes.

One thing I realised is that having the slider in the mid position i don't get any notifications (without activating DnD).
Any thoughts?

Mine seems to work. On the alert slider settings make sure you have calls and messages set to 'everyone' under the priority settings. For other apps like Gmail or WhatsApp, go to 'app notifications' under sound and notifications and set them to notify when in priority mode. This is a bit of a pain but gets over the software controlled notifications issue until oneplus can sort something out.

Aha! Key was to set all apps under "app notifications" to notify when in priority! Now i think its working!
Many thanks!
I know it's a kind of trolling but somebody may not realise this - by using CM13 you have the best of both worlds built in.
You have stock android DND (automatic) and you can also customise what the button does. [I don't use neither of these features but noticed them in CM settings panel while setting up my device]
Hey @yourmate
Anything else missing/not working properly beside Dash Charge on CM? I am waiting to make sure it is stable (one thing I cannot afford are random reboots). For example, I am not using them, but curious, are the Op3 gestures available or gone? (V and O to enable flashlight/Camera - CM's anywhere gesture was not great I thought)
Automated DnD is for me the main issue on Op3, and I also liked CM's auto-brightness/Night mode. Kind of feel going back several years haha

Everything fine. Gestures works. No reboots so far. Instead dash charge and camera much better then oos. And camera will be ported very soon I think.

They're available in a dedicated menu
TBH I haven't used OOS for a second so I cannot really compare the two but I've bought this phone only for two reasons anyway:
- dual SIM
- official CM support
Sorry for being a bit OT
Sounds great guys. I guess I'll just ditch OOS for CM this week end then and forget all that DnD shenanigans once and for all

With OOS 3.2.2 DND works correctly with tasker!
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
I can also confirm everything seems fixed in OOS 3.2.2. I can set the alert slider to any position and then run a tasker task to set vibrate only, all audio or silent mode. The slider can be used to override the tasker setting but tasker can be run again to re establish the desired sound profile.

I can confirm that this is resolved with OOS 3.2.2
Strange that my device couldn't find the 3.2.2 update. Installed it manually via TWRP without problem though.
Hello i'm new to this forum and new to Samsung, so this is a question that i have that i have to ask because i can't seem to find a solution. I don't know if its a bug or not.
So when i bought the phone i set it up to fit me with various settings and changes, however one setting that can't be changed (or it changes itself back to default) is the notification settings for a specific app.
I use telegram and i get a notification from time to time. So i decided to mute the sound and to turn off the vibration from the notifications menu in the phone for that specific app. But the problem is that the settings stays like this for only 20 minutes and then it resets itself to default i tried to change it again and again and it keeps resting. I tried it changing it even in the app itself, but again i keep getting a sound and vibration notification.
What i'm doing wrong? Am i doing anything wrong at all? Or is it that the phone is buggy?
Try modifying "Sound and Notifications" inside Telegram instead of phone notification settings

Hey Guys!
I need help! with something on the settings of the phone that is making me bald.
Recently my Note10+ updated to the official OTA Android 11+ One UI 3.0. So far so good!
After that, I did a factory reset on it for a fresh app install... all that done with no hassle.
Now when changing the notification sound in the phone settings from the default Spaceline sound to the one I wanted all went well except for Whatsapp.
No matter what I do, whenever a message comes in, it always sounds the phone's default spaceline tone.
I've done everything I know from changing the notification sound by going to in-app settings, to the phone settings.... EVEN putting the in-app notification sounds to silent to no avail. It still keeps sounding the phone's default spaceline tone. What I am doing wrong? Please please, can anyone help me? I am so frustrated!

Go Settings > Apps
Search for the app you're wanting to change the sound on.
Open the app and click on Notification.
Select which notification you want to choose to change. You can toggle each one on or off and you can change from Silent to Alert and then change the Alert type and sound.
Hope this helps
