Hi. I'm sharing some firmwares and I'll try to add new ones when / if I get a hold of them before they appear on lolinet .

HOW DO I UPDATE WITH FASTBOOT WITHOUT LOOSING ROOT, HAVING TO FACTORY RESET?
I've made a .bat file for flashing and some other stuff. Basic stuff that I use the most.

Unzip .bat to same dir as your fastboot.exe and double click it or drag it to your cmd window and press enter.

To answer my own question, I installed a firmware from India (RETIN_9.0_PSA29.160-30) and everything works perfect.

Could you describe the step-by-step procedure of the work you did to install the new firmware on your device? ... did you need to re-lock your bootloader too? .. who are in the beginning of "playing" with our smartphones we will be grateful !!!!...thank you!!!!...

You might want to mention what version of the OP8 Pro you have. A lot of us got 10.5.11 on July 7th or 8th.

Assuming he's EU, because I got it earlier today as well.
US had .11, but its the same as .10 IN EU.
Meaning .11 in EU should essentially be .12 in the US.

Anyone in the US getting a .12?

The Oxygen Updater app shows the new versions, but I'm skeptical about using it to update my device.
Any ideas why I'm not getting these updates via the regular updater?
Update: I enabled my VPN and set it to Switzerland before checking and now it offers 10.5.10. It did not offer it with Austrian and German VPN servers.

Dunno why its not showing you new updates. But oxygen updater is fine to use. Or you can dl latest version from here and flash it via local update..Also I havent try to install with oxygen updater. Just used it to dl latest versions sometimes

You can use the Updater as the only thing it does..it load the update..to install it..you still need to go to system and update..and select from download instead of over the air.

Because there isn't one for the US yet... These articles all stemmed from one source that was wrong. We had this update week ago for US version.

Actually you didn't. The 10.5.11 from EU (10.5.11.IN11BA) is not the same as 10.5.11 from NA (10.5.11.IN11AA​). Just because they have the same version numbers doesn't mean they include the same patches and features. You'll get a 10.5.12 in NA (10.5.12.IN11AA​) which then is the same as 10.5.11 for EU (10.5.11.IN11BA).

Hello to all. So, as novadays all rom versions are getting the updates at the same time, what do you think, which one is better for LE2120, more "native", so to speak? AA or DA? Anybody noticed any differences, except obvious ones, that is Indian apps, etc?

Are you trying to go to AA on the LE2120? If so, don't use the MSM tools. Use local upgrade.
Use the MSM tool for your phone, assuming IN. Then use the local upgrade feature to flash the 11.2.9.9 AA build that just dropped.
Then you're good to go.

Can't really tell you as I haven't compared the two. I'm assuming that it missing the IN apps is the only difference really.
Can't really tell why I was mentioned either. Probably best to remove @ symbol if you aren't mentioning someone.

yes i want to upgrade to AA version. my battery drains very fast in IN version..

I tried all versions, and battery was the best on DA, still significantly worst than on 7 pro.

Hi all you wise minded tech enthusiasts.
I am currently using Galaxy S20+ 5G G986B BTS EDITION
The problem i am facing is I cannot find out which Bootloader version i wm currently on the baseband is
G986BXXSCDUJ5
Can someone walk me through the steps to figure out my Bootloader version?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Be patient as it takes time for members to see a thread. Bump it after a day if you get no responses.

Generally speaking, your bootloader version should be the same as your baseband version.

Bootloader version range from 1-9 then A-10, B-11 C-12 and so on.

Bootloader version is 5th number from right of baseband/build number firmware name. If yours shows as C than Bootloader version is 12.
You can also check in download ( Odin ) mode there should be a line saying something like :
AP SWREV - the number after the letter B is your Bootloader version number.

Thanks mate. Can i get one more information from you? I am using STOCK BTS Edition ROM but I can't find the same STOCK ROM anywhere on the internet. in case if I brick my device i certainly need the BTS ROM for my G986B. can you help me find it?

You can only flash the same or higher Bootloader versions.
Use websites like updato or sammobil or use PC app called frija to download latest versions ( search XDA can:t provide links at the moment )

yeah I am aware if that but what i am looking for is a BTS Edition of STOCK ROM which is nowhere available

Just use the version n your first post or higher.
I am pretty sure that edition models use the same firmware as normal firmware.
If going to do something to your phone make a backup of apps and data first.

Did you ever try to install W20 version?
The Device identifier are the same, It will be OK, and W20 and W30 are basically the same

I don't think you find that version because developer preview is only reserved to asia developer community.
that's why I remember read on any post there is no way to unlock bootloader on global version.
why do you want to unlock your bootloader? many people including me want to go funtouch from Origin OS lol

I live in South Korea. I need bootloader unlock because the volte method here is t.t.s proprietary

What error do you get when you try to install w20?
Do you try to install with system update or with recovery?
Do you try to install previously doing a factory reset?

I installed w20rom as a system update or recovery.
The update gauge is less than a quarter long, and an alarm called a problematic rom file and an error message reboot button appear.
It was the same when I tried again after factory resetㅜㅜ

Riding the same boat,Wish they release it for w30 variant as well, i don't see any big difference between w20 and w30 .

There is a new beta version on their site but only for W20.
Maybe we can ask for the W30 as well...

Will the w10 version flash over w20? I have the w20 but it seems that I don't have the new tiles ..

How/where did you get the link to the firmware ? I'm looking for the full software for my x90 pro+, but have no idea where to look for it.... (full name is PD2227C_A_13.0.17.1.W10.V000L1)

I tried searching on Weibo and Vivo's "community page" but couldn't find anything regarding Vivo X90 Pro+ updates, unfortunately...

My bad, I should have been clearer- I'm interested in knowing where Vivo publishes links to updates, so that I can manually update my phone instead of having to wait for the OTA update to appear.
I read news about a new update for the X90 Pro+ supposedly improving zoom quality. I guess I'm gonna have to be patient
