Don't you have this screen where it shows refresh rate under display, just tap the refresh rate you want.

Any device supports AOD but most likely it is only included in devices with amoled displays due to battery consumption.
In one of my Xiaomi devices; Mi 8 Lite used a ROM ported from other Xiaomi device with amoled and it worked fine too.
I'm not sure, in AOSP ROMs, it looks like actually due to some policy was retired from Android 10 so I didn't see it in any custom ROM like was present in Pie.
I'm actually using an app that works even better that native AOD created by Samsung so it has the feature (retired since years by Samsung), it can show only the notification in a black environment without light up all the screen, no battery drain at all, you need to disable on-screen notification from settings if you have enabled and prefer this (like me) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.achep.acdisplay&hl=en

Hello everybody. Is there any way to avoid that the music I used last (in this case tunein but also spotify) remains in the drop down menu even if I close, after half an hour it reappears. It's a samsung s20 4g

Disable it or uninstall.
I have zero tolerance for misbehaving apps.

You haven't found a way to?
You can at least disable it's notifications but if you don't value it, I would kill it.

1. expand the notification (red arrow)
2. press longer on the title (blue arrow)... until you get a notification for "remove"
The external screen behaves as a regular phone screen, but the inner/main/foldable screen behaves as a tablet screen, which changes some apps behavior a bit. For example Opera shows tabs in that mode, unlike the fullscreen layout of the "phone mode", and Youtube does not go fullscreen when you turn the phone, instead it just rotate the video screen (like a webpage).
Is there a way to force the "phone mode" in this screen? IMO it is not big enough to act as a tablet.

I don't think that setting tells Android that you want phone resolution so that apps present differently. This setting is more for Samsung-modified apps and global settings screens can split navigation, erc.
It was exactly that, unfortunately I also liked the split view in some apps
Thank you Atthorpe.

Right?, I wish they would make it so we could choose which we wanted per app
Dear experts,
Seeking your help to address the issue i am facing. I have Xiaomi 11x pro and whenever I run speed test the screen flickers. But when i use the phone normally, the screen doesn't flicker. I thought it is because of dark mode and i changed it back to normal mode but the issue still persists. Please help, i am also attaching the video for you to see and guide.
I don't see a video, mate..
Please check now? I am also attaching a screenshot

Don't run speed test seriously are you people that stupid ? Friggin hilarious
Come on Jeffrom, be nice.
You are a nice helpful guy usually.
I checked it on my F3, and I got no issues at all, I made a short video for you.
On what MIUI version is your device actually ?
Your browser is not able to display this video.
Those glitches could also be Mi Browser-related, or whichever app that is. Try checking if the issue persists on a different browser like Chrome or Firefox or something.
I saw that Gmail supports double-pane view on foldables, but not sure how to get this to work on my ZFold4, any suggestions?
It's only ever worked for me in landscape mode, which is pretty lame. I tried to find a way to force it enabled in portrait a while back to no avail. Not sure if something's changed since, though.
thanks, so it does work, but not in portrait mode............ugh
I think we need to wait for an app update.
I'm still waiting for tablet (foldable) opimized support of the Google app, and I haven't seen it on my Fold 4 yet...
Just got a Gmail update. Still no double pane in portrait.
Have it in portrait mode.

Sorry, I thought you said you had it in portrait.
My mistake, it's landscape. That's what happens when your phone is almost square...sigh.
