White screen after flashing TWRP - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Questions & Answers

Hey guys. Need some help with my Mi mix 2.
I have unlocked it and after that I am trying to install TWRP. Now the issue is I am getting a Blueish/Grey screen without any icons or buttons. I have tried clearing cache but of now use. Tried using Xiomitools which results in the same.
Display is changed by a shop as a hardware change. Any help will be appreciated.

I think you should try to boot to your recovery, after that when you cant touch anymore, press power key for screenlock, then a press power key again and unlock your screen. Everything is ok then.

I had the same problem. I used a small pin and used the reset button. It then rebooted and started as normal.

Most tablets have a reset button. Usually only accessible using a tiny pin. I was stuck in the bootloader and resetting was the only way for me. Have a look at your user manual as there should be something in there about it.
I've not managed to restore anything on mine as fastboot doesn't pick up the device but adb does.

[Q] [Nexus 7 - 2013, wifi, 16G]Got stuck at Google logo

Hi everybody,
I'm so angry with my Nexus 7 (wifi 2013) because I just made it mess up.
Let me tell you how stupid I was.
First, I tried to root but it failed.
Second, I used 'Back to Stock' with 'Nexus Root Toolkit v1.7.2'. Finally, I got stuck at Google logo
I tried some solutions on the internet but it still unchanged anything.
Could you show me how to fix it, please?
Thank you so much.
This is the images of error that I got (I'm sorry I cannot insert image because I'm a new member of this forum, could you go to the link below to see more details?)

Hey namserious,
How did you get it working? Did you use the Mini guide given by sfhub? I'm having the same issues with my nexus 7 (2013). I only used for one day. Restarted on the second day and never got anything after the Google logo. Also, my phone wasn't rooted, so I didn't have developer options turned on and since I can't get into the system, I can't turn it on either. Will that make a difference?
Thanks.

If you didn't root the device or do anything else with it, you should be able to get into Recovery Mode and do a factory reset.
https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2668187?hl=en
Even recovery doesn't work
I'm not able to get into recovery mode. When I select recovery mode, the tablet starts and displays Google logo again and gets stuck there again.

When you get into recovery you will see just the droid and the red triangle. At this screen you will need to push the power button then Vol Up and release. I had to do that about 3 times then I was able to get the menu items. From there I did a factory reset. After that I was good to go. Hope this helps!

Im sorry, I didnt read correctly. I had issues too restoring back to Stock since my setup was all changed. I had to use these steps. I am going to assume you know how to use fastboot and what it is.
DISCALAIMER! These steps will delete your user data!!!!
> fastboot erase boot
> fastboot erase cache
> fastboot erase recovery
> fastboot erase system
> fastboot erase userdata
> fastboot flash bootloader BOOTLOADER.img
> fastboot reboot-bootloader
> fastboot -w update IMAGE.zip
So after that I was able to get past the google logo but just stuck at the boot logo (Multi Colored X) I then had to get into recovery using the steps I stated above then did a factory reset.
Success
Rb, I just tried your instructions. YOU ARE A SAVIOUR . After 2 days of continous troubleshooting, I had given up my hopes and was thinking of returning it. Glad to help! The best thing about Nexus devices are the different fail-safes. If the Rom is screwed up you can flash a new one from recovery. If recovery is screwed you flash a new one from the boot loader. If the boot loader is screwed you can flash another from recovery. Also the N7 2013 tablet is the best for the money. I user mine for work. I am a tech admin for a school district and have certain tools located on my desktop (Active Directory, Printer Manager, etc) and I have RDP installed on my N7. Now when I need to reset a password or whatever i can just RDP to my desktop. This tablet has made my life easier and hopefully yours will too now.

This is my first experience with a Nexus device and I might have judged it in a wrong way. But I think the problem is not the device but the information regarding the latest Nexus devices. Hopefully there will be more workarounds of the new Nexus devices.
I guess I will have to change my username

Hey, know it's been a little bit but my nexus 7 says no OS in TWRP recovery. I tried flashing it back to stock but it doesn't work. The bootloader is locked and when I try to do anything manually it just hangs on stuff like erasing 'system'/cache etc... in fastboot. I have not been able to find anything to work. And when I try to fastboot oem unlock it gets stuck when i press volume up and power to accept unlocking it. I have tried different cables and another computer. maybe I should try a third computer.. Do you have any suggestions?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having this exact issue. I'm just stuck on the google screen. I can get into the bootloader just fine, but not the recovery. I followed these directions. Flashed the factory image and everything. But I still can't get past the google logo. I've followed every bit of advice I could find on this issue and I can't seem to get it working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
*bump*
Does anyone know what's going on? I've tried everything I could find. Multiple times. From the suggestions listed here to the WUG kit to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2381582
Nothing is working. I goes through the reflashing successfully. The command prompt says that everything is done. And then it just gets stuck at the Google screen again. I'm at my wits end and have no idea what to try next. I know that because I can get into the bootloader still, there has to be SOMETHING that will work. But I just don't know. Any ideas?
is there a android L Developers Preview flashable zip? thanks

Anyone figure out what is causing this? I got a remanufactured 2nd Gen N7 16G yesterday. Updated to 4.4.4 over the air. Then unlocked the bootloader and rooted. Everything went fine. I installed Franco's latest kernel (r17) over stock and all was well. However, this morning, while using the device in the middle of GoW, it rebooted to the Google Screen and froze there. I could boot into the bootloader and have my comp recognize the device, so could ADB and Fastboot, however, I could not get into recovery. (I had installed TWRP 2.7.1.1 when I rooted). Trying to get into recovery would just freeze at the Google Screen.
So, I then tried both manually ADB'ing commands, as well as using Wug's Toolkit, and both methods seemed to complete successfully without error (I was using the latest Razor-Flo 4.4.4 files from Google's Dev Page so it is not an issue where I am using the Gen 1 files for Grouper or anything like that in error), however, neither method allowed me to boot into recovery, and left me at the same place. No matter what I did, I was stuck at that screen. I ended up calling Asus to RMA.
So, while it is not a current issue for me, I am interested to know if anyone has sorted what the root cause is, and whether it is an issue on the hardware side. I am not a complete noob to the N7 (I have 2 Groupers), and have been modding for a few years on Samsungs, and until this morning, have never had a soft brick I could not fix. This time, I gave up.
Same problem here, I have a Deb 32g, it went a little wonky and then rebooted. No amount of flashing and wiping and fastbooting has been able to recovery it. Gets stuck on Google Logo no matter what I do. Can't get recovery. Can't boot past Google. It will do fastboot without errors, but that's the only thing it will do.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus shows "No Command" after Recovery

I have a Galaxy Nexus, GSM version. It was working fine about ~3 weeks ago. I turned it off and removed the SIM card as I upgraded to a new phone.
Now I've turned it on and it just hangs on boot showing the animated X.
I tried recovery mode and get a "No Command" error.
I've never done anything to this phone before, in other words it's just running standard Android. Any advice? I've looked through some past posts but it seems like a lot of people have rooted the phone with custom OS, etc. I've never done any of that. So trying to figure out what the issue is with this phone. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
GR
<BUMP> sorry for pinging on this again but haven't seen any replies and I'm stuck... not able to get the phone to start. Any help would be much appreciated. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem? Thanks so much. GR

Maybe you don't even have a custom recovery installed yet? Not necessary, but since custom recovery are far more convenient than the stock one, you might wanna give it a try.

The phone is completely stock. I've never done anything to it so not sure why I'm having this issue to begin with. But what custom recovery would you recommend I try? Is there a link that you can send me? And how would I install it given that I cannot even get the phone to boot?
Thank you

Hold both VOLUME+ and VOLUME- keys, and while holding, long press POWER key. Do you see a green Android robot with its lids open? If yes, you're in fastboot mode, from which you can flash recovery, stock ROM, etc. (but if no...)
I'm on the phone now and can't provide links... Just first tell us whether you could boot into fastboot, will catch up later depending on your answer.

When the phone is off, if I press volume up/down + power then yes I see the screen that you're talking about. So I can boot into fastboot. When I choose Recovery Mode it restarts and that's when I get the No Command error.
Thank you so much for your help.

Install the correct ADB and fastboot drivers and files on your PC (I can't help you with this).
When your GNex is in fastboot, connect it to your PC, wait for it to get recognized.
Download CWM recovery here: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager - you'll have to choose your device variant (GSM/Verizon/Sprint), and choose if you want touch or not. Downloaded file should be an *.img file.
Open a command prompt window on your PC, enter "fastboot flash recovery *PATH-TO-YOUR-RECOVERY*.img" (no quotes). After flashing completes, just boot into recovery and do what you should do.

Just want to thank everyone for all of the help. I really appreciate it. Andy, I did try several of the steps that you mentioned but for some reason the PC just wouldn't recognize the phone in fastboot mode. I tried both the Google and Samsung drivers.
In my searching I found this post though:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/help/nexus-4-stock-recovery-command-issue-t2113478/page2
And realized that I should check samer's advice again. Turns out that I just wasn't pressing those two buttons in the correct sequence. I was doing it simultaneously and I guess you have to do it serially. At any rate was able to restore factory and now the phone is booting. Wow. What a pain. Still not sure what caused the phone to blow up in the first place.
At any rate really appreciate everyone's help.
Warm regards,
GR

Help needed: Blank screen. Can't get into recovery or start phone X9077

Hello.
I have an X9077 and was trying to flash the latest stable ROM coming back from Beta2.
I tried a few times with no luck and then I read that someone had had more luch by flashing 1.2 first and then the latest ROM.
I tried with that ROM and it caused a split screen image and when I tried again it just caused a blank screen. So no OPPO logo or noting but the backlight is on and the soft keys glow a bit.
If I try to enter recovery I have the same thing happening.
The computer sees the phone and the sd card and I can access it in fastbook mode but don't get any visuals in the screen to reload the beta2 Rom.
Please help. All I wanted was to get the GAPPS and to be able to make and receive calls without chinese characters popping out everywhere.
I downloaded the stock recovery from:
oppoforums . com / threads / stock-recovery-for-find-7-7a.17397 /
and then did a
fastboot erase cache
Which worked fine and then I did a
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Which worked but still can't access the recovery part. I get a blank black screen with glowing buttons underneath.
Everything went south before when I installed X9006_12_OTA_INT_001_all_svn5596_wipe.zip which I now know was not for my phone.

Well I have installed the stock recovery but my phone still does all the things that Suyi's did.
I have written to Suyi and Coldbird to see if they can guide me on how to manually restore the partitions.
Thank you very much.
Coldbird and Suyi are legends!!! I have rescued my phone back from the darkness thanks to your amazing work.
The only thing is that there is an unnecessary line there which is 521. The syntax in it is wrong but it doesn't harm the procedure, but it can be a bit unnerving.
I did not use the ROM that they used but the latest stable 1.2.1

Well done. Oppo should at least have set the numbers of the models further apart e.g. 9008 for find 7 & 9007 for 7a. It seems 7 is feng shui for them. Launch date for find 7 in Malaysia is 7.7.14. 7+7=14.
Oppo. Symmetry. Should be opqo.
My phone's model number is X9076. I am facing this same issue. The only difference is that my phone is not even rooted. Whenever I try installing TWRP on my phone the screen goes black. When I try pressing the hardware buttons, it gives a haptic feedback but doesn't show anything on the screen. Because of that I am not able to root my device and also can't install any custom ROMs. Also my phone is in stock condition and I haven't done anything to it before. How can I fix this (please don't provide me with any links, please explain me the procedure so it becomes easy for me )

You have to use fastboot boot twrp. Now you must install stock kernel and start over.
This seems similar to something that has happened to me. I purchased this phone with the intent of flashing Lineage-MircoG on it. TWRP-3.6.0_11-0-lemonadep.img has been installed, and was working on the phone. I was in the process of doing factory wipes so that I could flash LOS and for some reason, the touch screen stopped working. I can interact with the power button but can't swipe to unlock. I can't seem to find any button combination that will reboot the device either. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I could really use a break down of how to fix it. Thank you in advance.
EDIT: Was able to get to fastboot by holding down power, volume up, and volume down at same time. Still unable to interact with touch, however. Computer seems to recognize a device is plugged in but Internal Storage is completely empty, and thus far my attempts to drag the LineageOS image to the device have been unsuccessful.

Install stock rom and boot it. Touch will be back then temp boot twrp and install LOS. After installing then you do format data.

Can you point me to a guide to doing so? I'm afraid I don't know, first time I've ever screwed up this bad. Not even sure where to get files or anything of that nature, Or how to get them onto the phone via fastboot (seems to be the only way to interact)
EDIT: Will this help me?

Yes
OK, thanks for being patient with me. I have the program downloaded to my computer but I don't seem to be able to get my phone into the prescribed EDL mode. Fastboot, yes, but not EDL. The fastboot command from my terminal window isn't working, and obviously I'm too far gone for adb at this point.
Is there a combination of hardware keys that will force EDL? Or perhaps an easier way that I'm missing altogether?
Again, thank you for helping me. I don't remember having this much trouble with the 6T.
From fastboot. Temp boot twrp and have it boot to edl. If no touch, can you plug in a mouse. If all fails, with phone off hold vol up and down together and plug in USB cable
I got it back on to stock! Thanks for everyone's help.
