Screen does not turn on when phone rings - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

When I get a phone call the screen does not turn on and I have to press the phone button to answer it. I tried installing the Google Dialer, then switched back to stock so not sure if that messed it up. Also, idk why but all my apps are asking for permissions again.
I'm pretty sure the screen should always turn on for incoming calls? I normally leave on DND with exceptions for calls from contacts.

Call status/Light sensor issue?

As everyone may know already, while in a call when we put our ears to the ear piece the screen turns off, but when taking the phone away from the ear to look at the phone the light sensor detects it and lights up the screen.
My question is does everyone's phone go back to the TF3D homescreen when looking at the phone during a call, such as when you want to press number selections during voice prompts? Mine goes back to the TF3D homscreen everytime, and doesn't stay on the call status screen unless I physcially press the phone icon. I find this annoying especially when I need to input number selections. Anyone else experience this?
Nevermind, I found the solution and that is to turn off the password lock feature on the phone, and the phone stopped reverting back to the TF3D home screen during calls....must be a glitch...Blah...

Disable screen wakeup on incoming call

The reason for this is when I am in the car and am using the bluetooth to answer the phone is in my case on my belt. When I get a call the screen comes on and even after the call is completed it stays on for 2 minutes. I then end up calling someone in the last called list if the screen bumps the case. I don't notice because my dumb car always wants to download the phonebook after every call and the stereo doesn't connect the outgoing call. Then someone tells me that they got 2 minutes of my music on their voicemail if they didn't answer. Ended up being very embarrassing when call went out and I made some comments that "someone" was not supposed to hear.
I looked with the advanced config tool but could not find anything.
Any ideas appreciated.
Tks
Perhaps stopping the screen from waking is too drastic. This means you effectively disable caller-id. I would suggest looking into installing a screenlock tool.
I am trying pocketshield for now. I was going to look at su2u but I was told that incoming calls still turned the screen on. Will see how this works for a few days.
Thanks
Well I tried pocketshield and it doesn't really do what I need. It still lets the damn phone call after I have hung up. It leaves the screen on and at the lasted called screen. bump the screen and it calls one of my last called list. Going to try Touchprolock now and see how that goes...
I have "locked" (AT&T stock ROM - using long press end key to lock) my device and then hit the power button momentarily.
This turns off the screen. When an incoming call hits, screens lights up. After call is terminated, screen turns off.

Phone NOT vibrating for notifications during phone calls!

Note: my phone is usually in silent mode (only vibrates for all notifications).
When I am in a phone call and someone texts me, the phone is not vibrating to let me know I have received a text. My Evo did this, and it is a great way to be notified while in a phone call. Wish I could get this phone to do the same thing.
Does anyone have any suggestions on any settings, apps, mods, etc. to change this?

I had this same problem with other Samsung phones. My moment never notified me audibly while I was in-call, either, until I applied a ROM that took the SMS app from some US Cellular phone.
Try Go SMS, it has options for audible or vibrate notifications... It will even allow you to customize the vibrate pattern if you like.
Did you try setting vibrate to always?

Turn off text to speech when calling

When someone calls me, the phone will say something something is calling you. How do I turn the voice off? It also starts talking when I set an alarm and it goes off.
I also have an issue where sometimes I go to the call log and tap on an entry but nothing happens. It gets highlighted and make a tapping noise, but I can't open the entry nor call the person by pushing the little green call button. The issue goes away after a short time. Dunno what causes it.
The voice is because driving mode is enabled. Disable it and it should go away.

In Call Issue

Hello, I am recently have loads of problems while talking on my phone. The HTC Desire is rooted and CM7.1 installed. It used to work fine but the problem started recently. The phone vibrates several times during a call and also plays the message notification tone.
Please help me out.
Are you receiving messages when making calls? Then it is absolutely normal.
No, I receive no messages. If i lock the screen with the power button it stops but other than that I just vibrates for no reason.
Probably the vibrate every 45 secs during a call box is enabled on the Call Settings. I'm not sure about the notification tone though.
It was on before but I turned it off. The only thing that is on now is vibrate call waiting. This seems to be a very strange issue.
With titanium backup clean setting about call...
Could you advice me how to do that. I cleared all my call settings but it still doesn't work.
