How to enable call recording for the 5G version Snapdragon
if you are unable to do it natively in the dialer app, Cube ACR works without root.
Call Recorder - Cube ACR - Apps on Google Play
Call recorder, Record phone calls, Signal, WhatsApp, Viber, Call recording app
play.google.com
ACR. But NOT out the android play store. But on the Samsung store.

Well, I have ACR pro, but the quality of the records is bad. real bad, not comparable with the build in recorder of Samung. That's not because ACR is not good, it's because it's blocked in the ROM.
I got mine working, in the 7810. First it did not, as it came on TGY Rom. So I flashed the Chinese Rom, started up first time after with a Thai SIM in it ( probably not needed) , and voila....... Native phone-recorder was there.
If you have Magisk, you can install EdXposed and Firefds module can expose the original Samsung Call recording feature in phone app.
If you are rooted, you can enable native call recording by modifying the CSCfeature file. I managed to do this on my Snapdragon EU variant running on Android 11.
Automatic call recording is also there.
I can guide you with the process if you want

Do this on your own risk. You should make a backup from the original cscfeature file
1. Locate cscfeature.xml file and copy it to pc (for me it was in /optics/configs/carriers/single/NEE/conf/) where NEE is my CSC.
2. On PC decode the cscfeature.xml (I used OmcTextDecoder from GitHub, made by fei-ke)
3. In decoded cscfeature.xml file add line: <CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
4. Encode the file and replace the original file with modified.
5. Change the permission to 0644, rw-,r--,r--.
6. Reboot, and from the phone settings add call recording.

Small tip...
My CSC didn't have option to switch off shutter sound from camera settings and I found this really annoying.
You can add option for this in camera settings with the same method as with callrecording.
Add line :<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
Any edit in csc features xml files requires root permission for Snapdragon.
No root without unlocked bootloader.
Until now if you want bootloader unlocking you have to pay 70$.
The real question is:-
When we get the free bootloader unlock for our S20 FE Snapdragon variant (for US models)?
I think any snapdragon chipset for S20 FE outside US has unlockable bootloader by default.
Absolutely not shure if the Chinese S20FE has unlockable bootloader by default?

I have enabled it using firefds xposed module
Note that I could not change csc as I already flashed android 11 oneui 3.1 before I know all this and now csc cannot be changed with odin nor with google dialer code

Never and you can thank unregulated market laws and greedy service providers for demanding locked bootloaders to Samsung. You could always import the phone from the EU where the laws are much better.
Hi all,
Is there a way to use google phone app with recorder after changing CSC without root? I have successfully changed the CSC file, and I have the recorder option in Samsung Phone app. However, I want to use the google phone app, but it does not have the recorder option.

If you are on stock Rom, there is a Magisk module in the telegram group which enable that option through the defaults MIUI apps for dialing/contacts.
Otherwise you may want to flash a regional Rom which support this feature out of the box, Indonesian Global is the one (code ID).
Hope this helps.

Yes magisk module require magisk to me installed, which means systemless root (it does not modify your system partition, just to boot one, easily reflashable).
Rooting requires recovery, recovery requires unlocked bootloader.
So unlocking bootloader (which can be relocked afterward) is the first thing to do since it require to wait for 2 weeks before it gets unlocked.
Besides that, yes you can stay on stock rom.
Hope this helps.
Can't be done without unlocking, rooting etc.

jOnePlus Tools works on the OP9Pro too! Just install a OOS 11 dialer found easily and you're good to go.
I tried the https://github.com/nipunnarang/oosnativecallrecordingenabler and does not work anymore (was fine on Opo7pro A11)
I had the same question and was able to set it up. See this thread.

Only difference between this iteration and the one from my OP7 Pro is the directory it saves the recordings to. Now they're saved here:
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.oneplus.communication.data/files/Record/PhoneRecord

I don't know the version, but you can view the version after install in the app settings at the bottom of the screen. And no, it won't replace the google dialer unless you want it to. You'd change it to the default dialer app after install. It is indeed "revertible".

Combining joneplus with oneplus dialer, call recording really works, but in many cases it does not record. In these cases, it excels in the recording icon and does not record. Other times it records just fine. for what reason?

Can't get call recording working on the level I could rely on.
Oneplus native app does not work for me, even after using joneplus tools.
Call recorders from magisk work well, but after the phone restarts I have to open the app to be sure it will work. Sometimes it looks like not booting up with the phone.
Anyone found the solution? I am on eu version of the OnePlus 9 pro. Rooted.
This worked for me with the OnePlus native PhoneCall App:

Enable call recorder on OP
PSA & Tutorials
Easy and without root:
run this adb instruction to enable call recorder:
adb shell settings put global op_voice_recording_supported_by_mcc 1
2) if you reboot your phone you will need to run adb from step 1 again. To prevent this, install jOnePlus Tools from Play Store:
jOnePlus Tools [adb/root] - Apps on Google Play
Application with some hidden Oxygen OS 4+ settings
play.google.com
3)After install jOnePlus Tools, run this adb command to let the app change security settings, enabling it to turn call recorder on after reboot:
adb shell pm grant net.jroot3d.joneplustools android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

So it does not "break the camera", it makes your camera stop working IF you have the bootloader unlocked.
Stop being so dramatic in post titles, you are not being specific and you are only scaring people for no reason.

My camera works with the April release, magisk 24.3, zygisk turned on and safety net 2.2.1 installed. In the may release the camera fails with same setup. Curious if SElinux permissive helps hmmmmm but can't be bothered trying because of the hassle of starting from scratch to go back to april release.

Finally, I also see you are using "SELinux permissive" module which I never used so I don't know if it can affect your camera...
I will test both of them to see if one of them can cause the camera issue and I will report... ^^

Magisk canary on Github ! I am not completely stupid to go download anywhere
I discovered that (if you have Magisk of course) you can use the MagiskHide Props Config module to force "BASIC key attestation" (Download and install the module, reboot, open terminal emulator, type "su", then type "props") by spoofing to have a different device (Galaxy A5 2017 is the one I use, others should work fine too though). That way, the camera works, even when SafetyNet fails, without having to force-close after every reboot. Hope this helps.

Hi,
With my op9 I was able to record phone calls by using the google dialer in Beta version.
Just got my new op11 device, the call recording option is gone from the google dialer.
Any advice ?

anyone here have call recording working? (i also tried o dialer - but it didn't record.)
BTW
i tried to open support ticket using my google one membership, they sent me to talk with oneplus support says its device issue not account issue.
oneplus support wrote me that it maybe carriers/countries limit, but it does make any sense....the same sim card on 2 devices give me different results, im waiting for oneplus response.

Exactly I have OnePlus 7T EU ( non root ) and with jOneplus Tools there are just 2 clicks to enable native call recording which is great option. I tried to install extracted APK of jOneplus Tools but it does not install on OnePlus 11 EU ( OxygenOS 13 ).
Question is if there is any other option to enable this feature or services/dialer with that support are really removed from EU version this time? I've seen solution with installing ODialer (ColorOS) but this is not available in Google Play Store.
Maybe option with ADB?
From time immemorial, probably even Android 1.0 (hehe good, I joked a bit), he has been working and still works "CallRrecord" by SKVALEX.
In GooglePlay is available but it's a lite version, here his home page:
https://callRecorder.skvlex.com
Root is most often required for pure recording of both sides. But not always, sometimes it works after an ordinary API.
Perhaps in newer androids Google has drastically cut recording and it will be hard without root.
In any case, "CallRrecorder" is the first tool that he installed on each of his smartphone

If playing the call is your only issue then I've got the solution for that too.
The new way to listen to call recordings is opening the call or contact in the dialer. So just make a test call and when you click on that call later you'll see recording option.
I'm sure it must save the calls somewhere as well I'll look for the location later.
for now just click on the " i " next to the call/contact just made and you'll see the recordings. There's a cassette icon.
I'm on OPO11, Non-root, India.
