I've had my Dasaita PX6 MAX10 for a couple months now and have finally gotten things how I like them -- EXCEPT I cannot figure out how to get notification sounds to work.
- Notifications do come through, show a dropdown, and if something is currently playing, volume lowers as if it's playing a sound
- Audio Navigation prompts from Google Maps do work
- "Previewing" a notification sound in the Android Sound Settings plays the sounds fine
- Notification sounds do work when using Android Auto, but I don't really use that.
Anyone else with the same issue? I'm on the factory ROM.
Thanks!

Hi All,
I have recently experienced an issue where the sound has stopped working (not going through car speakers) when in music, video or navigation app.
This used to work perfectly.
Sound works normally when CD inserted
Sound works normally when using radio app.
Video app plays video - but no sound.
Music app plays the mp3 tracks - but no sound - can see the progress bar moving along (music (mp3) on SD card - 8GB formatted FAT32)
Also have issue with the BlueTooth - connects to phone but seems to be around wrong way - it appears the head unit thinks it is in phone handset mode when it is not - as result can hear people talking through the car speakers but they cannot hear me unless i toggle handset mode, but then people can hear me talking, but i cannot hear them...
I suspect for whatever reason the audio out is being directed to Blue tooth or whatever
Has anyone else come across this issue, and if so is there a solution?
Device
Pumpkin 2-DIN

MCU version: MTCB-KLD-V2.02

Have you tried making your phone and the head unit forget each other?

Yes I have - same result
Have also tried
- resetting unit - factory reset
- pulling the power on unit for
Whatever the issue it appears to be persistent between boots....
Now there is another issue - won't display the feed from the reversing camera
The head unit switches into camera mode, but displays message "No Signal"

To offer you the best customer service, we will send you the return address for full refund of your order.
I also have a Pumpkin KD-C0224 head unit and it works really great, does way more than you need it to do. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pumpkin-Capacitive-Multi-touch-Navigation-Multimedia-y/dp/B00OB90SOY/)
1. About the sound issue, perhaps there is something wrong inside of the unit.
2. About the Bluetooth, you can try settings-》backup&reset, then do the “factory data reset to see if it can help.
3.About the "No Signal", I have encountered this issue and Pumpkin sent a video instruction http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu8maRNrtlk
PS:You can ask for help from Pumpkin and customer service has been very good.
Android 4.4.4 Car Unit S07 sound problem
Hi to all,
I have a similar problem. My device is a Universal 2-DIN, Model: S07
Lately I had a problem with sound coming from sd-card. The quality of sound was good enough for some time and few minutes later, the sound coming only from one speaker, then transfered to another speaker then the listening becomes very bad and suddenly comes back very good as in the beggining.
That was in the past because now there is no sound at all.
More specific:
I have sound in Bluetooth, CD-DVD, Radio and the touching clicks (on device).
No sound at all from the device such as NAVI apps, in 2 sd-card slots and 3 USB's (2 back, 1 front). Of course I see video but without sound and the music plays mp3 once more without sound
I have already done the following:
I opened the device, unplug and plug-in again all the ribbon cables. Factory reset in Android 4.4.4, upgrade to 5.1 lollipop with reset to factory settings again, and finaly downgrade back to Android 4.4.4 with reset to factory settings again. The problem is still the same.
Is it damaged ribbon cable ? or other hardware problem ? because I don't think that is a software problem. Any opinion is helpfull.
I just installed this head unit, and it appears to be different than most of the other units out there. It doesn't have the same "factory settings" menu that everyone else talks about. I do have a Car Settings that gives me some access.
So I have two issues:
1) The buttons light up based on "time". In the settings menu, I can either have them "off" or "on timer control", which I am assuming means it's based on time of day. Aside from just running the illumination wire to constant power, does anyone have any idea on how to keep the lights on all the time?
2) If I have the music player going, and Waze makes an audio alert of some sort, it pauses the music, but does not start it when finished. Does anyone else experience this?

Hi, I also have the same car stup - for question 1 - the best way to wire with ILLUMINATION wire with ACC so u can have the panel lights ON as you wish if not have a small swich hidden under the dashboard to swith between ACC and Park Lights
2nd question - I couldn't check on that still, my setup only came last week
I have a new question the display on the GPS "Google Map" is not very clear when checking from bit high ( my car has the player connector bit down than the eye level) any suggestion ?
Is there a way to root this unit? I have the same too.
About the 2nd question... you have to set Waze as default navigator in settings.
Hello, I recently installed the above Android unit into my 2014 Mitsubishi EVO with Rockford system. It came with the can bus decoder MT-SS-03 for 2014 Outlander. I set everything up in the factory settings menu but I'm having a major audio problem that sadly is ruining an otherwise awesome experience.
If I listen to any music at high volume all system audio cuts out completely for 5-10 seconds at a time. I've found this problem is directly related to the volume. The louder it is, the quicker the audio will cut out. I've double and triple checked all wiring and pins, updated to the latest MCU 2.59, Android system (8-3-2017), etc.
I'm out of ideas on what to try next but hoping someone here can shine some light on the situation. Thanks in advance and looking forward to putting an end to this issue!
Hello,
I don't remember making any changes to this, but for some reason now anytime I open up Waze (my default Nav app on my MTCE), any audio playing becomes muted and stays muted. I used to have continuous audio when running Waze, except for if Waze had a direction or notification to give and then it would properly temporarily mute the audio. But now I get no music while having Waze on screen. If I go back to the radio app let's say, audio continues as usual.
If I run any other app (say Google Maps), I still get audio as per usual.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Here also same pb. MTCD px3 android 5.1 with Hal9k rom on HU. I can't find any setting for sound on app or in OS.
Yo ozzyboy,
Did this problem occur for you recently? It happened to me within the past week or so. Again, I don't think I have made any settings changes in that time period.

I think I found the fix in case anyone else is wondering.
Go to Settings>Car>Navigation and look for something along the lines of Navigation sound mode. There is a toggle for me that turns some kind of navigation sound monitoring on, and then that enables several options below. One of the options is like "switch" or something to that extent, and then you can play around with how much the radio lowers it's volume while the navigation is talking. I guess mine was somehow totally disabled and that's how I lost sound, but I have it back now.
Hope this helps.
are the settings in the head unit. I have looked for ages and can't find it

Hello everyone,
I have two questions regarding my head unit looking for your help.
I've been using the head unit XTRONS PB78TRVP for almost one year on my VW and since new I have been noticing that I am unable to control the audio volume balanced with all the apps, specially while using the radio.
The issue is that while using broadcast radio, the audio volume is too high, not balanced with the rest of the multitasking applications running in parallel.
As an example, if the audio volume while playing a radio station is set two 4, the GPS application volume when pops an audio message can't be heard as the GPS application message is very low, even if the music from the radio is temperarly muted while audio played from GPS is being heard.
This behaviour is the same independent from what GPS application is being used.
Remembering that this is happening only when using the radio as if the music is being played from an MP3 list or CD/DVD, the audi volume is balanced with the rest of the applications (including phone).
This head unit has currently installed Android 8.0. Is it possible to be upgraded?
Thanks in advanced.
Hello,
Isn't there anyone capable to help me?
Thanks

Hi. I have the same unit. Go to settings, Car setting, Factory settings and type 126 for the pin. This will take you to hidden settings where levels can be adjusted.
