I just bought my Asus zenwatch today and I updated it all the way to 5.1.1. I noticed that when I turn off the "always on" feature, when the screen is off and I tap the screen to wake it, a green screen flashes real quick before the screen wakes.
Has anyone else had this issue? I feel like when I updated to 5.1.1 alot of weird things have been happening. I was not able to connect for a while and the screen randomly turned off like if it got stuck.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled and done factory resets on the watch and the phone. I am still getting the green screen flicker.
I don't know what I should try next. On the Asus website they have 2 previous updates and no android 5.1.1 on there. Can I somehow roll back to an older version of the zenwatch? or should I try to reinstall the Android 5.1.1 update?
My Kodi has been acting weird lately. I have been getting a black screen randomly when I try to go back to my video files. Also sometimes playing a video will go to a black screen. Pressing the center button doesn't show the onscreen controls anymore. The only way I can get the controls to show up is to press back button. Then the Menu selections show up but I have a black screen in the background. It's almost as if the default blue bubble background screen has been erased.
I have tried to delete kodi and reinstall and gets the same problem. I have tried SPMC and it seems to get the same problem after a few days.
Anyone knows what might be causing this?
Same issue here. Are you using the Krypton Nightlies?

No, I'm not. I have been using 16.1 that is the stable release.
What is weird is that I have tried SPMC and I get that black screen also sometimes. I also noticed that my Nexus Player seems to get this to happen lately also. I think the Nexus Player uses a different KODI since it's Intel based but I still get the same problems.
Do you think there is a problem with Kodi in general?
I'm having the same problem! It sucks. And I'm not very tech savvy lol if anyone figures it out please relay the info ?
hey guys.
since my z1c running with android 5.1.1 for at least 2 years, i upgraded it to 7.1.2 Nougat.
--> im using this : "Lineage Os 14.1 [Android Nougat 7.1] Unofficial Custom Rom for Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (amami)" on coustomdoridos. c o m
now my gf broke my screen. i replaced the display of the z1c 3 times but now the screen shows the homescreen for example and then "flows away", the screen picture turns back, also the touch dont work.
as i see, i could only show u the pictures after at least 10 posts, so i try to describe the problem: the display shows my homescreen for one second (withe stripe on the top of the display), then it freeze and it begins to show light white stripes from top to bottom since it is white all over and then it go dark (takes a few seconds).
now i had in mind that it could be a software problem, so i downgrade again to 5.1.1 (D5503 running with android 5.1.1 build 14.6.A.1.216.) using flashtool and the display nearly runs like the original one. there are just a few light stripes in the middle on the display, i can live with that. touch also working now (but could be intresting from where they come from...)
my questions are, if someone had the same problem, and what could i do to get 7.1.2 Nougat back again with the new display without the known display issures?
greetings, xmo
edit: since the phone runs with the new display the light stripes dissaper ofer time, maybe the display needs some heat? oO
edit2: i have this problem also going in the recovery mode of the phone with twrp. 1 sec clear then the screen nearly went white, but touch is working.
Hi, I am a satisfied user of the global version of Redmi Note 5 Pro, but in recent days I have noticed an imprecision in reading touches on the screen, especially when the phone is staying on the table or on the bed.
The most annoying thing is that it doesn't take the swipe from the bottom edge of the screen and doesn't trigger the home gesture.
On the phone is installed MIUI Global 9.5.13.0 (OEIMIFA) Stable.
Anyone else noticed this issue?
Sorry for my bad English :silly:
Just tried it out (same version and also using full screen gestures) and everything was fine. Never had a problem going back to the home screen or recent apps while the phone was on a table.

Hi,
So I offer this phone to my wife this xmas and everything was going smooth until we found this issue:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYFdyDwuS_w
The bottom screen does this flickering when typing with Swiftkey keyboard on some apps. This one is Doggcatcher but it happens on other apps too.
If I swap to GBoard it does not happen. We're on Android Pie 9.0.
Has anyone found this issue?
Seems like a graphic bug in that specific keyboard.
Please, i need help.
Evaluate for yourself whether it is related to this topic.
Occasionally, graphical glitches appear on my Mi A2 lite, (4/64, Android Pie, December update, locked bootloader, no root, intact system).
In most cases, they flickering all over the screen, and in some other cases they are frozen, as is shown in attachment.
They are completely random and they appear through many applications that i use.
I can not determine the cause.
Does anyone else have a similar problem?
me... on chrome and all app that use webview... during call status bar is flickering... when switch to the camera in whatsapp with swipe to set status... and other
Something similar here, if Facebook Messenger chat head is overlaying YouTube it flickers a lot (only the actual video but the description and recommend are always working without flicker also no problems in fullscreen), less often it happens with Chrome and sometimes YouTube does it without Facebook Messenger even being open (Android Pie Dec. 5) [also it didn't happen for the first few weeks with 8.1 then Pie got released and worked well for some days then this started to happen]
I have that problem , the notification bar flickers a lot and when on video calls, it shows a black flickering rectangle at the bottom of the screen
Hi, I've got the same problem here. For me, the flickering appears when the keyboard is open, and get faster while typing, please does someone know how to fix that?

It is true that it is the keyboard, my keyboard developer is fixing the bug making it do that as we speak but in my case the whole screen flashes black instead of the little box you have
The problem with the flickering screen in some apps like Youtube, Chrome or Instagram can be fixed as follows:
Go to Developer Options and activate "disable hw overlays"
However, the setting must be set again after every Phone restart.

Isn't that bad long term?
"Without a hardware overlay every application that is displaying things on the screen will share video memory and will have to constantly check for collision and clipping to render a proper image, this can cost a lot of processing power. With a hardware overlay each application gets its own portion of video memory, getting rid of the need to check for collision and clipping."
