path to sd card? - LineageOS Questions & Answers

I want to store the data of ann app on my sd card, but I can't find the path to enter in the app's configuration.
I tried
sdcard1/test/
/mnt/sdcard1/test/
just creates a folder in the internal system.
In the filemanager it does not show the path (used to in older versions, which was very handy)

Titanium backup on T-mobile's Galaxy S3

Can anyone tell me what the settings should be on my Galaxy S3 in order to save a Titanium backup to the external SD card? While I had Titanium and used it on my HTC Sensation without a problem, I have encountered that when I have it on my T-mo Galaxy SIII, it saves the backups to the internal 16 GB memory by default, not the SD card. This is a problem because the backup is erased when I instal a new ROM and wipe the partition. Recently I installed a new ROM and found out that when I went to recover all my apps they were gone and were not on my SD card backed up (even though I had ran it and completed a backup). My pics and videos were still on the SD card so I know that it was not formatted itself when I installed the new ROM.
My current backup folder shows as: /mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup
Should it be something else in order to save to my external 64 GB SDCard? Should any other settings be changed to something else? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
writici change
That should be the right folder. /sdcard/ refers to the external microSD for our phones. I just checked my TI settings and that's the same folder I use.
In your 64gb micro SD create a folder called "TitaniumBackup" <----this is very important!
Then open up Titanium Backup app and hit menu button, then go to Preferences.
Scroll down and select *Backup folder location.
Press "Detect", then "Whole device".
Once its done you will see /mnt/extSdCard/Titaniumbackup in the list. Select it. (the other one is gonna be /mnt/titaniumbackup thats internal sd)
Then select "Use the current folder".
If it asks you to transfer data you can which will transfer your existing back in the internal to the new one. Up to you. Or you can just start a whole new backup which will now store in you micro sd card.

Click to collapse
Wrong
it's /mnt/extSDcard
Or you can connect your phone to your computer and pull the titanium backup folder from your phone for safe keeping while you flash. Then once everything is booted up again you can reconnect and drag and drop the folder back on the phone.

[Need help] LG G4 H815 Stock Rom External SD card problem

Hi guys,
since last saturday I am a new owner of a LG G4. The phone is still running with stock rom (android version 6.0). I am using an external sd card (64 GB class 10) which I used before with SlimROM *) in my e986 an. With the file explorer I can see the file structure of the external sd card and I am able to walk through the files.
Two of my apps (Osmand+ and c:geo) are using big offline maps which I have stored on the external sd card. With Marshmallow I can't set the path to these maps. Why is this so?
Please can you help me to solve my problem?
Many thanks in advance,
ponder

c:geo

IMO, you'd better download offline maps again and let the apps save the maps in their default location in internal memory. Then close the apps and go to Settings > Apps, select the apps that you have downloaded offline maps, then in Storage item, move the apps from Internal memory to SD card.

I can't access my files on my SD card after marshmallow update?

have a AT&T galaxy note 4 which recently updated to 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
My phone reads that the SD card is in there, and all the file directories are there but when I try to open or view them it'll tell me I can't open/view the file. My music player still reads all the music just can't play them, ("could not play this track") or my gallery still has all the photos but can't display them
The phone is not rooted but is encrypted along with the SD card. I tried decrypting it but it didn't do anything, along with taking out the SD card, cleaning it, ect.
It seems though I can add data to the card and it will save new data to the card.
What can I do to fix or recover my data? thanks.
I think the path of the sdcard changed in MM update, which is why apps that cached that location (i.e. Solid Explorer) are having trouble with finding it. I think the old path was something like ext-sdcard, and now the new path is the name of the device. Have you tried copying the data off and then reformatting it and re-adding the data again?

[Xperia M][Lineage Os 14.1] How to access Internal Storage in Lineage Os 14.1?

I have installed Lineage Os 14.1 Nightly On my Sony Xperia M DUAL (C2004) via TWRP.
With Gapps (Micro) and SuperSU Addon (Provided On LIneage OS official page)
I did a clean install. I can access External Storage. But, I am unable to open the Internal Storage. I tried the pre-installed File manager and ES File Explorer. But, Nothing worked.
Pre-Installed file manager showed "Can't Show at the moment"
ES File explorer showed "Empty"
Though, both file explorer and Settings showed that 1.2GB(appx.) used in internal memory.
How To access the Internal Storage? Please Help.
And total commander?
