Stuck in bootloop after uninstall magisk... Samsung s20 - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

So i tried to unroot my phone via magisk...and it just ****ed me it seems.
It bootloops with first the "this phones bootloader is unlocked..." and then samsung logo with the warning triangle about it not running official samsung software etc.
I cant boot into download mode by going into recovery (it gets stuck on starting fastboot ( the red text )). And i cant hold up and down volume + usb cable to go straight into download either.
after none of these things worked i tried clear cache and wipe data/factory reset with no luck.
i also tried reinstalling magisk from the zip on SD card but got some error and nothing changed.
Am i dooomed? Any tips will be sooo insanely appreciated!

ok... i tried another usb cable and it worked getting into download mode. Now i just gotta find the easiest way to get the phone back to stock.

I have the same problem here with my Ultra S20. How did you fix it?? Mine's been stuck all day.. I can get to the recovery menu but not to the download mode.

This happened to me too. I just reflashed the stock firmware and rooted it again etc. It was the only way i could get it back working again.

Install TWRP........
Would have saved your ass.
Also, forndownload mode AND to enter TWRP, use a decent usb cable connected to a computer or laptop.

[Q] [HELP] stuck in bootloop/soft brick.

I was using PA rom for a few months and everything was fine until my gnex suddenly bootloop for no reason. Wasn't flashing a new rom, or tweaking anything. Phone just crash and when i try to reboot it, it just stuck in a bootloop. Showing google, then animation screen and afterwards reboot again back to google and animation and keeps repeating.
Phone info:
-rooted
-bootloader unlocked
-on custom rom (PA ROM)
Attempt to fix problem:
-flash a diff rom ( still boot loop )
-factory reset, wipe system cache etc. ( still boot loop )
-flash factory image 4.3 ( still boot loop ) [All is done through adb, manually flash each radio, bootloader, system etc one by one ]
-flash factory image 4.0 ( still boot loop )
So currently i'm on stock android, stock recovery, stock bootloader, stock baseband etc. But it is still bootlooping, anyone know what can i do?
ps, i did search through the forum, most people got pass this problem through flashing stock image, but mine doesn't
did you erase and then flash userdata?
Similar to my problem, hope it someone knows an answer.
Same problem!
Not to hijack your thread, but I'm having the same problem -
My phone was charging and working fine. I left the room and came back and the phone was stuck at the "Google" bootloader screen. I pulled the battery and reinserted. It went to the Cyanagen boot animation, then froze. Subsequent battery pulls resulted in it freezing at the Google screen.
I can not access recovery (power + vol up + vol down), but I can access the Odin download screen (power + vol down). Odin will connect to my phone, but I can't reflash the stock firmware. After attempting to flash the firmware my phone shows the phone-triangle-computer screen regardless of what buttons I push during start up. I can still connect to Odin, but can't reflash stock. I receive the "complete write failure" message each time. I've tried switching USB ports and USB cords without success.
Sprint SPH 700
Rooted with bootloader unlocked
Running Cyanagen ROM
Any tips? Do I need to reload the PIT file? Thank you!

I finally got thru the phone to pc fail screen by using a older version of Odin(3.04).Then the flash went thru w/o a hitch. Is your PC recognizing the Phone? If not the drivers may need to be uninstalled and reinstalled. I had to use the samsung usb cord and no other also.

Yup, my PC recognizes the phone. I can push partial tar files (for example, recovery only) to the phone just fine. I'll try a different version of Odin. Thanks!

[Q] 'Secure boot Error!' at boot, download mode and factory reset don't work

Hello,
Here is what led to my issue:
I rooted my phone using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38886073#post38886073
Downloaded clockwork rom manager.
Here comes the thing I don't remember. At least i know that the last thing i did was to click on 'backup current rom'
After this the phone reset itself and this message came up:
Secure booting error!
Cause: boot certification verify
Then i tried to reset using the power button, which led me to the 'battery full' screen - afterwards i was able to reboot. As stupid as I am I just tried the same thing again. And ever since i am stuck at the 'Secure booting error!' screen.
I am unable to enter download mode. I get to the 'Hard factory reset' screen, but if i accept doing so, it says 'Secure booting error!' again.
I also remember clicking on 'restart into recovery mode' at some point, but this is not the last thing i did.
I am really desperate. Please, help me!
Well i had the same issue today... It happened after i did two changes. One of them was to to try to relock from freegee and flash twrp again from freegee. In my case i was able to go in download mode and flash original kk rom with lg flash tool.
Unfortunatly, trying to boot in downloadmode, i still get the same error :/

How are you trying to boot into download mode? And what factory reset screen? It seems as though you did not unlock the bootloader using freegee, if you make any changes and relock the boot loader you will get that error. But it seems that it has not been unlocked. If you hold power and volume up what happens? Same thing when power and volume down, one of them is recovery (possibly factory reset you are seeing) and the other is download mode. I don't remember right now but you should read the whole softbrick thread and see if you are missing something. You may need to use LGPNST to go back to stock, you can also use that program to flash a new recovery so read carefully and follow all steps.
When this happened to me I was able to flash an unlocked bootloader and it allowed me to use my phone again as it was before doing something stupid (for me it was an attempt to re lock the bootloader).
well, i managed to get into download mode. Obviously i used the wrong method to get into download mode...
I used this method and everything worked fine, so far. : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249500
My phone doesn't boot now. Fast Boot doesnt work aswell.
All that happens is a white battery showing on the screen and when i try to fastboot all that happens is that the LED is blinking or glowing red after some while.

What do you mean when you try to fastboot? Fastboot is basically the bootloader and allows you to select recovery or download mode. What you should have done after following that thread is go to recovery and wipe everything and flash a new ROM.
If you are saying that the bootloader is not coming up and allowing you into recovery then I believe something was missed.
After trying out some varioants of this it worked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40274560&highlight=red+led#post40274560
I wiped the phone, but since I had to leave over the weekend i just turned it off and went away.
Now that I am back, nothing works now :/ The Phone doesnt react to anything, not even donwload-mode.
Is the battery too low maybe? It's on the wall now for a few hours, but it still doesn't react. It's not warm either.
edit:
when i charge the phone, i will get a 'watchdog bark' after some time allowing me to get into recovery. accesing downloadmode from there doesn't do anything. strangely, the recovery isnt trwp although it should be because teenybin comes with it. it's 'bbs.gaodi.net' which doesn't have a sideload feature. what do i do now?
edit2:
after 10000 tries i got into download mode. i don't want to **** up now so i won't do anything until i know exactly what to do.
any advice?
edit3:
got it working by flashing another teenybin which included trwp - then i installed miui via sideload. i don't have signal though, but i will open another thread for this since this is another issue.

[Q] Can't Get Into Recovery Or Download Mode

So I bought 2 broken Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 from a friend knowing that the screens were cracked and that there were pass codes but I just figured I could replace the screens and then wipe them. Fast forward to today and I got one fixed but it won't go into recovery or download mode. I do the right button sequences for each one and but it just boots up as normal. All the buttons function and I tested them with the device on but no matter what I do it just starts up as normal. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?
Just replaced the actual volume buttons and still no luck. Any one have any idea?
Rooted ?
Options:
If you can get into system ( normal bootup ) try enable USB debugging and install ADB on PC then run adb reboot boot loader or adb reboot recovery
or
If you are rooted, install Rom Toolbox and use reboot option
or
Use a usbjig, its small and cheap XD once you plugged in you can reboot into boodloader
Sorry to bump this so late but I just started trying to fix these again and still can't figure out what to do with this one. New buttons are installed and they work when the tablet is on but whenever I try to boot into recovery or download mode it just boots normal. At a lost here any suggestions?
Ok ordered a USB jig and got it into download mode. Loaded stock from odin and it still popped up with password so I flashed stock again with odin but erased NAND and now I'm just stuck at the final samsung screen and it won't boot. Tried 2 different stock roms with no luck no idea what to do

Possible hardbrick of s4 sgh m919 after twrp restore

Hi, I have a rooted s4 sgh m919. I am running twrp custom recovery. So I just flashed cm 13 nightly build for the s4 and it worked and ran through boot up and everything. Then I realized that I had stupidly forgotten to backup my apps(I though I had but it was a twrp backup). So I returned to recovery mode using adb because my up volume buttons dont work(biggest problem for me now) and used twrp restore of a backup I made before the new rom. Now I know that my twrp backups work because I have successfully restored before but that was using the same rom, this is the first time flashing a new rom. Since I am a noob, I didn't know that I have to factory reset and delvik cache wipe before I restored my backup since they were different roms. Now after booting up and getting past the boot animations it goes straight to a black screen with a bunch of "Unfortunately ______has stopped" for just about every single app I have including system apps and UI. I can boot into the download mode prompt(where it says volume up to download mode, down to reboot) but since my volume up button doesn't I cant boot into recovery or download and do a factory reset. I can boot into safe mode but I still get the same black screen with a bunch of "Unfortunately ______has stopped". I also can't do it through adb since I have no access to phone settings and when I connect to the computer, the computer make a sound recognizing something was plugged in but won't show my phone in the libraries and when I use "adb devices" my phone isn't there. I stored my backup onto my ext sd card if that helps. Is there anyway to get into recovery mode or even just do a factory reset without using volume buttons or the computer? And has anyone else had this problem and if so what is it called(hard brick, soft brick, bootloop.....). Thanks!
You need to fix your up-vol button.
There is also a special micro USB loopback plug which I think can make the device boot into a special firmware loader mode. Then you would use heimdall/odin to replace the firmware, but I have never done that.
As for what to call the problem, I say "dumb user with broken hardware". You knew that your up-vol button was broken and what would happen if you could not get into recovery. Now that it has happened you want a magical fix instead of doing what you already know you need to do. Sorry for honesty.
1st- buy a usb jigg, they go for less than $5 amazon, eBay etc.
2nd - while phone is powered off use the USB jigg to put it into download mode
3rd- use Odin to flash the latest ok3 firmware.
4th - use Odin again to flash cf auto root. (No need to check if it has root the recovery you flash should be able to root it)
5th- use Odin again to flash Philz touch cwm recovery.twrp causes lots of problems when flashing. Philz recovery has been flawless.
6th- flash any rom of your choice. If you can't get into recovery theres an app called quickboot that can put you in recovery as long as you're rooted.

S4 Mini bootloop (can access recovery & download mode)

Hello,
I have been trying to fix my phone all day, searching various forums online, but I haven't been able to find anything.
I rooted my phone about 10 months ago, I just installed CWM and the rootkit. No custom ROM or Kernel. I used very popular apps such as Greenify and a few others. I didn't touch anything else or do anything fancy.
When I woke up this morning, I grabbed my phone to check the time, opened Chrome for some browsing and suddenly my screen froze. I thought it was just going to freeze for a few seconds but it ended up crashing entirely and I couldn't reboot at all.
I tried plugging it into my computer but it wasn't recognized at all. The Samsung USB Drivers didn't work and Odin didn't recognize it either. I couldn't boot into Recovery or Download mode anyway.
After searching for hours, I found this : ht tp:/ /w w w.droidsavvy. co m/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/
I followed all the steps but ended up getting stuck with some error during the QFIL processus. I was about to give up when suddenly my phone started vibrating, and the "Battery charging" logo appeared (it's now fully charged).
I could access download mode, so I tried installing USB drivers again and somehow my phone was finally recognized by Odin. I reinstalled CWM 6.0.5.1 and was able to enter recovery mode. I also flashed a stock ROM with Odin.
Using ABP, I was able to backup all my photos. After backing up everything, I wiped the cache and started a factory reset through CWM. But then, my phone crashed and got stuck in the bootloop again. I tried to wipe the dalvik cache but it crashed as well. I tried to install the rootkit again (why the hell not) but it crashed too. Each time it crashed at "Disabling OTA survival"
I tried factory reseting through ADB but it doesn't work either.
I looked at many different solutions to fix it, but none of them worked :/
To sum it up (TLDR):
- Phone stuck in bootloop
- Phone is recognized by my PC (Odin, ADB)
- Can access both recovery and download mode
- Flashing new ROM didn't do anything
- Can't wipe dalvik cache or do factory reset
