Hello! My E975 got broken, it powers on and work but wont charge battery. I gave it to technician and he said that he need to replace motherboard to get phone fully working. Its really hard to find E975 working with cracked screen or smth in low price, so i was searching amercian ebay and their prices are better. Now the problem is if i could use LS970 or AT&T E970 in europe, i think LS970 has wrong band to use it here, but E970 would be ok but this is a little diffirent model - with microsd slot etc. Question is if i can buy LS970 and if it would work or if i could replace E970 screen with E975 one, then what about AT&T simlock?
Hi!
My Optimus G has had ghost touches for a month now, I've tried sending it in for repair but the service center says the motherboard is busted (which i doubt) and costs a fortune! it costs the same as a brand new Optimus G.
My suspicions lie in a grounded digitizer cable or a faulty digitizer altogether. I found an online retailer who sells the display/digitizer and I was wondering if I could do the repairs myself.
My Optimus G is a korean variant (F180K) and I was wondering if there's any difference between the hardware layout in the korean variant and the international variant? I haven't found any piece of info that says they're different so I'm not entirely sure but a local service center said that international and korean variants have different hardware, therefore you can't use international parts for korean variants; I was also wondering if that was true.
Any info would really help. I've tried everything software side but to no avail, the ghost touch problem is hardware related.
Hi guys,
Wanted to ask if it is possible to swap the model of the motherboard on LG G4.
I have a broken H815 (bootloop) but the housing and display are OK.
I want to get a mother board from Korean Model F500L S K. Are they the same dimensions and does korean mainboard fit on my housing and connect to camera display etc?
And are the korean models affected by the boot loop since I'm no seeing any of them on the internet.
Yes, the motherboards have the same dimensions. It will work
Korean version probably not as popular
Get h815 again
Korean version has similar mobo as the H815, but as mentioned above, its not that that's why you dont see them bootlooped. Only advantage of the F500 is the new 7.0 FW.
Bootloop is a known problem of the LG G4.
The cause is a loose contact on the PCB.
LG offers a free repair.
Owners of a LG G4 affected by the bootloop are requested by the company to contact their mobile operator to initiate the repair process.
Customers who have purchased the G4 in free trade are kindly requested to contact LG support directly.
The repair takes place within the framework of the guarantee conditions and is therefore not associated with costs for the owner.
In addition, the company apologizes for the inconvenience that the previous solutions have brought to customers.
Previous misdiagnosis resulted in the replacement of wrong parts of the smartphone.

Nah, I'm not interested on the os version.
I just was wondering if F500's have less bootloop issues.

Well Thank YOU very much for the answer, I'm very aware why the bootloop problem was occurring and know the whole history of the problem.
But I live in Kosovo and we don't have an official lg retail store.
I contacted LG Serbia and explained them my situation. But they were willing to help just the cases when phones where bought in Serbia, so nothing for me :crying:
Since you provided some information about "free trade" phones. Is there still a chance for me to get a fix for my phone. Since when it bootlooped it was only 8 months old. So well under the "1 year warranty policy".
Thank You Very much again.
The F500 which is the Korean version I think has LTE bands/frequencies missing or disabled which makes it a no go for use in western europe at least. It might be okay on some networks depending on what frequencies your network provider uses but in general I'm sure the F500 is the most limited version when it comes to working frequencies so it would be much better to get H815 or H811. The F500 mobo is exactly the same shape as other models btw.

Your welcome. My first G4 was a F500 and I found that 2g didn't work in bad signal areas so I couldn't even make a phone call. Also 4G+ didn't work either. It was possible to put H815 firmware on it but that did NOT enable the missing frequencies so I had to buy a new one.

Yeah a phone with no 2G and 4G is probably useless.
But now I wonder if H811 European models, suffer less from bootloop, because if I decide to buy a new mother board the last thing I want to happen is my phone dying again.
I talked to a mobile phone shop owner here and he told me that they just returned many G4 since they still bootlooping (after only 1 month of use). And they won't sell them anymore.

I bought a refurbished G4 for 170 euro. It has a s/n of 701, in other works very recently manufactured....I have it working fine for 5 months now with no issues at all. So I would only buy one with serial 609 upwards. It's not know for certain which one is okay but the more recent the better. It does not matter at all whether is F500/H815/H811/etc where bootloop issue is concerned.

Thank you so much for the advice.
Yesterday I found a G4 H811 in a mobile shop here. But it was S/N 401 so a big NO NO for that
I will be thinking of buying a brand new mother board from china and replace it myself and it is half the price of a new phone.

I asked the China supplier what was the serial number and he woulnt tell me. Thls means that althought the board is new and unused it may still be an old one with bootloop issue down the line.
The best thing to do is make sure s/n is 701 up. You can ask eBay seller what is s/n by email before buying if buying used one. They will be happy to tell you. That what I did and enjoying fone since!

The LCD is version-independent, so you should be fine

Unfortunately that's not completely true.. the h818 has a different panel than all the others..
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs

Hi, will a LG G4 Stylus mainboard fit inside a "normal" Lg G4 case? I have a working LG G4 Stylus mainboard and a friend has a LG G4 with damaged mainboard.
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,
The screen on my H815P broke. On eBay replacement screens are listed as being for the H815. Will these work? A shop in Luxembourg refused to repair my phone because of the extra "P" in my model number, which I understand means its a model sold in Latam and South Africa (strange because I bought the phone on Amazon.de).
Also, is there a way of knowing if the screen I buy really is a genuine LG screen?
Any help is really appreciated.
I think the main difference is the modem. I'm 99.99% sure that all G4 editions have the same (awesome battery hungry) screen. Also, the only way you can be certain you bought a genuine LG screen is by buying the screen from LG.
Hi. The main difference is the motherboard. H815 (no letter) can be bootloader unlocked and H815P doens´t. The rest is all the same. In case of the screen. I was replace the board from my H815P to H815 (same screen and battery) and works normally and fine.
In order to know if the screen is or not genuine, depends from shoper and rating by customers and other -buy&sell pages- matters.
If you purchase a screen, replace it without warry becausae it will work.

Cheers. I've gone through to the LG spare parts website, which belongs to an outside company and it requires the model number for the screen. How the heck am I supposed to know that?
Anyone know a link to a genuine screen that delivers in Europe? I've been checking out youtube videos and I might attempt this repair myself.

Thanks. If you know of a European supplier, please advise. I tried contacting a supposedly official LG parts supplier out of Portugal that was recommended on one of the threads here on xda but they haven't responded.
Good, I have a lg g7 thinq flahs crossed, before it was from the verizon company and now it has the Canadian kdz, I changed the load flex because it was damaged but when placing the flex European or Korean version it does not raise a signal but everything else does work. place the damaged one if you get a signal again why this case is due, thank you.
