I have a problem where the volume always goes down when I receive a notification, this happens when I'm using any app even with silent mode enabled.
I'm using Global ROM 12.0.2.0 on Redmi Note 8.
Can someone help me? Thanks!

Interesting. Did you turn on a setting or it showed up after installing the beta?

Is there any chance to edit menu .
Like build prop editing like that stuff
I saw that the nexus 6P has that in default.. But I didn't see that on nexus 5X yet :-/
I think it's only for users in India. From 2017 it is mandatory for phones to have an extra emergency button in India. So maybe that's why they implemented a software version. Better than the real extra button in my opinion.

i am not sure its such a good idea to have it so close to power options, you dont expect the person in need to be calm and it would be a potential danger to hit the wrong button
I guess it is for Indian users only, as none of the 7.1.1 beta reviews from people other than Indian nationality mentioned it, I have it on my 6P, found it after installing the beta, but how to set up emergency contacts? Is 911 setup as a default emergency number or can we setup Indian specific emergency contacts?
I am facing a weird issue. When I press the emergency button in power menu, nothing seems to happen on screen, but in background it dials to some emergency services number (presumably the police number of 100).
This call is not even recorded in call logs nor does I see any dialling or call running screen.
I am on 7.1.1 and using the google Phone app as my default phone app with access to modify system settings..
Any ideas??
Hello guys,
Does anyone have problems with the push notifications on the Mi Max 3 ?
I have tried almost anything but can't get notifications properly.
I have prioritized notifications, enabled autostart and disabled the battery save mode.
Nothing helps.
I am on China Rom 9.6.11.0 stable.
Someone still have ideas ?

It's annoying, but you have to do three things for Notifications to always work 100%. I'm on 8.8.9 eu weekly and this is still needed. It's an Oreo 8.1 problem for battery saving:
1) Auto start
2) Battery optimization: no restrictions (this actually might be unnecessary but I do it anyway in case my phone battery gets too low)
3) Most important step unfortunately: LOCK the app in Recents (hold it and press lock icon).

I did those 3 things you mentioned but still no notifications.
I also have a Nexus 6 on Oreo 8.1 LineageOS and no problems with the notifications at all,
i have not even had to change anything.
exactly which app?

Ok, i finaly solved it.
It was the Nova launcher together with the Tesla unread app that had not the right permissions.
Mine:
1) Auto start
2) Battery optimization: no restrictions (this actually might be unnecessary but I do it anyway in case my phone battery gets too low)
From above
3) Installed App > {App_name} > Notifications >
Then
'Show notifications' : enabled
Importance : High or above
App Icon badge : enabled
4) If 3 still didn't work, try rooting your phone then convert it into system app
Not sure if this exists in every miui but I found Turn off MIUI optimization this morning while browsing the settings app and had no idea what it did.
I flipped the switch and now I get all notifications imminently:

Its a cpu bug on xiaomi defected device or maybe how XIAOMI/ANDROID configure its android system/power saving mechanism..it happens to many users but not all..After few findings, theres a lot of xiaomi defected cpu device and sadly enough ive got it on Rn5 pro, mi max 2 and now mi max 3 even Huawei got this problem too..Hope xiaomi/huawei will fix this in the future..Anyway after few research, finding and wasted times, the problem was its system PARTIAL WAKE LOCK was not configured correctly and it is really in deep sleep..this issue will cause in late notification at lockscreen after you leave your phone for several minutes, got led light blinking but no sound, no notification at all, etc which effect some users including me..i tried many things to fix this by changing roms, aosp or xiaomi eu, kernels, disabling doze etc but to no vail until i found this app CPU Awake inside google play store..install it and configure this app with no restriction, autorun and locked it in recent..and youll get all your notification back on lockscreen instantly..there is also no significant battery decrease by using this app (been using this app for quite a few years now)..Even though it has, its a better trade off than not receiving notification at all..you can remove this app from recent after all set up then reboot the settings will applied automatically..never touch the apps again if you want too, good luck and give some feedback..
Hi, there is a problem in my Xiaomi mi mix 2:
Sometimes, when someone calls me and I answer, I just don't hear the other side (there is no mute button pressed or something)
so i hang up and re-call that person.. but sometimes I receive calls from companies that I can't recall and this problem drives me crazy..
Is there someone else that also encountered that issue? anybody got a solution?
Thanks for help

I don't use the default, I use ACR.. well then it's probably the MIUI Rom for MI MIX 2..
I wonder if it will dissapear if I will change the ROM
Edit: I found out that if i put the call on "hold" and then unhold i can hear the other side again
Hello XDA community and devs.,
As a title says, - my Redmi Note 8 Pro don't vibrate at all. This is a new 128/6ram global phone (in white box), MIUI 11.0.2 PGGMIXM). I just received this phone 2 day ago.
1. I tried turn on vibration via settings everywhere, didn't worked.
2. I tried turn off battery saver, - didn't worked.
3. I turned vibration via notification bar by pressing on 'Vibrate' icon, - didn't worked.
4. I downloaded various apps from Google Play by search "Vibrate test" and none of these apps in testing made my phone vibrate.
When I asked my friend to bring his Redmi note 8 pro (128/8ram - from red box, but same MIUI version), to compare both phones using same settings and my phone didn't vibrate, but my friend's phone did!
What I didn't tried yet.
1. Reset phone to factory settings.
2. To flash phone using MI flash tool software for fresh version of MIUI. But I don't want to do this, because phone's bootloader is locked and I may lose my phone's warranty by doing this (not sure here, need to read Banggood warranty policy).
I already submitted a feedback in MIUI, just not sure how this can help me. Maybe you guys had faced this vibration problem before and can advice me about I should do next, because I have bad feeling this is about hardware and this Redmi Note 8 Pro is simple defective.
Thanks for reading and for advice. o7

Little update, I did phone factory reset, - still no vibration in phone.
If u find any solution, do help me too. As my vibrational motor is too low....
You can specifically test target the vibration motor using the MIUI Hidden Settings app from XDA Labs,
If you cannot make it vibrate and vibrate mode is on, I guess you have to return it.
Many other users have the same rom and I have not seen many complaining about this problem.
Good luck,
Regards,
