I use the OnePlus 7 Pro and rely on the automatic call recording that I enabled using the jOnePlus Tools. It's time to upgrade. Is there a way to activate native call recording on the OnePlus Pro 9 without rooting the phone?
Thank you.
Anyone please?

jOnePlus Tools works on the OP9Pro too! Just install a OOS 11 dialer found easily and you're good to go.
I tried the https://github.com/nipunnarang/oosnativecallrecordingenabler and does not work anymore (was fine on Opo7pro A11)
I had the same question and was able to set it up. See this thread.
Built-In Call Recorder?
All my previous OP phones have had a built-in Call Recorder that I could enable by installing the Magisk module linked below (worked on my 5T/6/7 Pro). I've rooted my 9 Pro and installed the module via Magisk but I don't see the call recording...

Only difference between this iteration and the one from my OP7 Pro is the directory it saves the recordings to. Now they're saved here:
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.oneplus.communication.data/files/Record/PhoneRecord

That doesn't work anymore. Use jOnePlus Tools and the dialer for OOS 11.

Before to install that APK, which version is it? Will it replace the Google dialer, or will it be revertable?

I don't know the version, but you can view the version after install in the app settings at the bottom of the screen. And no, it won't replace the google dialer unless you want it to. You'd change it to the default dialer app after install. It is indeed "revertible".

Idk. Hasn't payed attention. But everything works well, including automatic call blocking so can't complain about a need for updates yet anyways.
Combining joneplus with oneplus dialer, call recording really works, but in many cases it does not record. In these cases, it excels in the recording icon and does not record. Other times it records just fine. for what reason?

Ahhhhh I see. Yeah I'm not sure how to do that without rooting. Hopefully someone else on here can help!
Can't get call recording working on the level I could rely on.
Oneplus native app does not work for me, even after using joneplus tools.
Call recorders from magisk work well, but after the phone restarts I have to open the app to be sure it will work. Sometimes it looks like not booting up with the phone.
Anyone found the solution? I am on eu version of the OnePlus 9 pro. Rooted.
This worked for me with the OnePlus native PhoneCall App:
https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/a3bzo2
Enable call recorder on OP
PSA & Tutorials
Easy and without root:
run this adb instruction to enable call recorder:
adb shell settings put global op_voice_recording_supported_by_mcc 1
2) if you reboot your phone you will need to run adb from step 1 again. To prevent this, install jOnePlus Tools from Play Store:
jOnePlus Tools [adb/root] - Apps on Google Play
Application with some hidden Oxygen OS 4+ settings
play.google.com
3)After install jOnePlus Tools, run this adb command to let the app change security settings, enabling it to turn call recorder on after reboot:
adb shell pm grant net.jroot3d.joneplustools android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

Here buddy : https://miuiflash.com/roms/miui-13/whyred/miui-13-v13-0-12-0-stable-whyred
now dealing with issues with that rom , one of them is to get rid of google dialer and replace it with mi dialer to be able to record calls.
currently under this version 13 of Miui I am playing arround with google dialer to make it Cough, Cry, Kiss, Laugh, Sniff, Swallow, Whistle, Yawn in caller I.D
watch out guys google rolled out an update that canceled call recording !
now i am trying to get Mi Dialer working in this version , can someone helps ?
(((( good news everyone ))))I was able to use different dialer app called "ACR Phone" for arm8 with a special file that allows it to bypass google restrictions for voice recording , i will post that special file as soon as i can. Also i was able to manipulate that app to do some kinky sounds like the ones i told you about ...i will explain to you all how to do that too here in this post....just keep looking for that post because i will post more about this app and even more special apps that i use ,also will keep up with this android version and its updates for the love of XDA Team & Whyred phones.Peace to you all
First here is the dialer app which is caller "ACR phone" on google play store:
ACR Phone - Apps on Google Play
Privacy respecting phone dialer app with SIP and call recording support
play.google.com
for the app "APH" that lets ACR Phone get the permissions to record calls under this version of Android
here it is :
https://acr.app/aph.apk
Next go get the TTS version of Loquendo tts app with Susan voice which is v2.5 i guess then install it then change the default tts voice settings in "text to speech" to Susan then start to manipulate your caller I.D inside the ACR Dialer by adding these commands right before or after Names in each cell of first name and last name in the contact list to get some kinky sounds before reading out any caller
\item=Laugh for laughing before reading any caller's name
\item=kiss to blow a kiss
\item=whistle to whistle before or after
and so on ...
go try this and have fun .....any questions i will be happy to answer....Peace!

I found two ROMS From TheCustomRom site for Whyred, Superior OS and DerpFest but i don't how they run and if it's all working.

Hi,
With my op9 I was able to record phone calls by using the google dialer in Beta version.
Just got my new op11 device, the call recording option is gone from the google dialer.
Any advice ?
(without root)
anyone here have call recording working? (i also tried o dialer - but it didn't record.)
BTW
i tried to open support ticket using my google one membership, they sent me to talk with oneplus support says its device issue not account issue.
oneplus support wrote me that it maybe carriers/countries limit, but it does make any sense....the same sim card on 2 devices give me different results, im waiting for oneplus response.

yes. i have op9pro LE2123 on my desk.
i never flash it . (last time i flash my mobile phone was on the happy days of HTC...).
but you have to be on the beta version of google dialer to get the recording option.
(strange thing - after i took out the sim on the op9 . the option cant turn on, but still there)
Exactly I have OnePlus 7T EU ( non root ) and with jOneplus Tools there are just 2 clicks to enable native call recording which is great option. I tried to install extracted APK of jOneplus Tools but it does not install on OnePlus 11 EU ( OxygenOS 13 ).
Question is if there is any other option to enable this feature or services/dialer with that support are really removed from EU version this time? I've seen solution with installing ODialer (ColorOS) but this is not available in Google Play Store.
Maybe option with ADB?
From time immemorial, probably even Android 1.0 (hehe good, I joked a bit), he has been working and still works "CallRrecord" by SKVALEX.
In GooglePlay is available but it's a lite version, here his home page:
https://callRecorder.skvlex.com
Root is most often required for pure recording of both sides. But not always, sometimes it works after an ordinary API.
Perhaps in newer androids Google has drastically cut recording and it will be hard without root.
In any case, "CallRrecorder" is the first tool that he installed on each of his smartphone

If playing the call is your only issue then I've got the solution for that too.
The new way to listen to call recordings is opening the call or contact in the dialer. So just make a test call and when you click on that call later you'll see recording option.
I'm sure it must save the calls somewhere as well I'll look for the location later.
for now just click on the " i " next to the call/contact just made and you'll see the recordings. There's a cassette icon.
I'm on OPO11, Non-root, India.

I had Samsubg's dialer app with built-in call-recoder on all of my older devices I purchased locally in my country.
The A54 came from another county so it has a different Official ROM. Changing to different CSC will help and "expose" phone recording featurs in the dialer, or flashing a ROM is the solution?
