Just found one! Unfortunately I have to wait about a month for it, similar price as the cases from amazon. They don't have one with a polycarbonate shell. They have either or, not both together. https://www.ebay.com/itm/133219356074

You should check out the ballistic sg maxx. It comes with a screen protector & a belt clip. Got mine on eBay for about $25.
check out walnutt on ebay colors are a little limited but i love the case i have the brown and white one
I'm coming from a wally on my current phone, it's just a slim adhesive leather pouch that sticks to the back of any case. I know with the design of the Moto X this kind of case isn't possible so i'm looking for alternatives. I came across this on Amazon, has anyone owned this case or has a better one they prefer?

Incipio make one. Its more like two cases in one. It could probably be had for cheaper on Amazon.

AWESOME case. Built way better than an Otterbox defender (the only thing that isn't as good is probably the warranty policy; they don't advertise it nearly as much as OB about being hassle-free, but perhaps it is- I haven't needed to ever exchange a case.)
It certainly adds lots of bulk so be aware of that...
Here are a few pics-
Buy them! Ballistic protects your phone phenomenally. Personally, I have never dropped my phone yet, but from what I have seen, the Ballistic cases can shield the phone from 7ft+ drops.
I bought the Maxx, which is essentially the same, but comes with a built-in screen protector.
Amazon indeed does have some great deals on these cases. I got the Maxx for $27 (plus shipping) and I saw the standard for around $20.
Be aware of the amount of bulk this case adds to your phone. This case is probably the chunkiest case out there for the Nexus. However, I don't mind because it keeps my phone safe. The case is also a lint magnet, so you would probably have to clean it everyday if you collect tons of dust in your pocket.

Is that the plastic shell case? If it is, I have one and love it. The only problem is the price. I bought mine for like $30 which is wayyy too much for a plastic shell case. I only got it because I couldnt find a cheaper alternative. If someone is making a cheaper one, get that. Its literally just a flimsy, rubberized plastic shell like you can pick up on eBay for your phone for a dollar
I just preordered the leather G4 from tmobile. I'm currently waiting for it to arrive and I'm wondering how cases are supposed to work with the leather one. I bought it for the leather, I don't want to hide the leather and a clear one would cover up the feel of it. Any suggestions from anyone with a leather one? Do I need a case?
I don't intend to but perhaps a bumper?

Same here. I ordered a Ringke Fusion Clear case for those times I need a case. Fits leather and plastic backs.
Examples: Working out, hiking, bike ride, or when my kids are on my phone.
I'm not getting a case, I would rather buy a new back cover if it gets damaged.
Will probably get a screen protector though.

I got a case for my leather back, I found that I was getting a few marks and also because the phone is plastic, it's easily damaged.
What kind of case you got on the leather back?
