Hi,
I'm recalling that when actively viewing a thread there used to be a 'search thread' option. I was viewing a thread for BoldBeast Call Recorder and was looking for the 'search thread' to quickly search for my phone model and find relevant posts in the thread, but couldn't locate it.
Edit:
Well, I'm embarrassed to admit I figured it out a few minutes later. The 'search' bar has consolidated all search functions. You have to select to 'search this thread' from a drop-down menu.
Would delete this thread but maybe it'll help a similarly confused person.
Haha, I think it was just timing! It was just fixed to have those drop-down options...
The general search box works to search the thread:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Change dropdown to pick "This thread"

You might try re-downloading the affected page (control+F5 on most browsers). One time I was using the forum and all the little report symbols at the top corner of each post (
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
) changed themselves into the donation stars by donator's usernames (
). Re-downloading the page fixed it and I haven't seen it since.
I want to map the Windows/Home key on my Touch Pro2 to open HTC All Programs tab (not the customizable Programs Tab) when single clicked, and the default WM6.5 Start Menu when long press.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'm able to do so thanks to a wonderful button/qwerty remapper found on XDA (for TP2 only), the only problem is I don't know the path for HTC's All Programs.
I rarely ask questions here, 'cause 99% of them has been already asked and answered, but this time I really can't find the solution.
In advance, thanks for your help guys
EDIT: Also, could someone please extract the bk_Program_List.qtc file from \HTC\Assets\Images\programlauncher\ ? I think that if I'll play around with it I could actually change the background of the All Programs Tab.
How can I go to the last read message in a thread when I log on again? When I read a forum and then close by browser and then come back to that forum later it always starts me at the first post, not the last post I read.
Thanks

Click on the arrow beside the Thread Title. The one that looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If you hover over it, it should say "Go to first new post" or something similar.
soon you'll start to memorize post numbers. XDA app just pick page ranges which include that post number.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
We suffered a failure of our search server and as a result, forum search is temporarily down. (With the exception of searching the Forums via Google search in the upper right hand of the forum)
As soon as our search server has finished re-building, we will re-enable search. Thanks for your understanding.
same here, it's done. Hope they fix it soon.
Is there a topic-searching option in xda? Can't find it anywhere...

Is there an equivalent of the "Partecpated" option in the xda-developers app, from desktop?
Hit the "Advanced Search" button next to "Search All Forums"
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

Now, somewhere it tells "search by username" or something like that, put there your username and make a search.
This way you will find the threads you have participated
I'm using subscribing.
You can subscribe to a thread when you post in it.
Just choose "No Email notification" in the "Thread Subscription" Option under the "additional options" when posting.
That way you'll get a notification, everytime someone else has posted in that thread in your User CP.
You just have to click on "User CP" at the top, and you see the threads with new info.
EDIT: You can also see all thrads you every subscribed when clicking on "List Subscriptions"
