Hi. I want to buy this phone(samsung galaxy m51) but I will use it for app development and need some specific camera2 features. Most phones have the features but all of them are optional, so I must be sure before buying it. Can someone check them for me? Parameters marked with x are essential and you can check them with Open Camera app from google play. Others are not that necessary but I can make use of them if someone can check if they work or not.
I want to know which cameras are functional with third party cameras and these parameters for available cameras(they may differ for each camera, please check again after switching camera)(in video mode, I won't use it for photos):
x CONTROL_AE_ANTIBANDING_MODE: 50hz (open camaras settings --> processing settings --> antibanding-->50hz)
x CONTROL_VIDEO_STABILIZATION_MODE: OFF (open camaras settings --> video settings --> enable video stabilization -->toggle off)
DISTORTION_CORRECTION_MODE: OFF
x EDGE_MODE: OFF (open camaras settings --> processing settings --> edge mode algorithm--> off)
x NOISE_REDUCTION_MODE: OFF (open camaras settings --> processing settings --> noise reduction algorithm--> off)
SHADING_MODE: OFF
TONEMAP_CURVE (open camaras settings --> video settings --> video picture profiles --> log(medium))
x min and max iso sensitivity (open camera--> exposure compensation button on top of the screen--> iso slider)
x min and max shutter speed (open camera--> exposure compensation button on top of the screen--> shutter speed slider)
x max 4:3 resolution (I need at least 2592x1944 but can use something like 4000x3000) (open camaras settings --> video settings--> resolution)
x hevc support(at least 25 mbps) (open camaras settings --> video settings--> video format --> mpeg4 hevc)
please test hevc with 30 mbps (open camaras settings --> video settings--> video bitrate --> 30mbps)
10 bit hevc recording support(not sure if any android device does that without hdr10 but processor supports it)
Thanks in advance.

ive seen people talk about some anti-shake feature and i was looking my htc mozart up and down and couldnt find it. now some days later ive read some more and it seems not only each brand got its own exclusive software for wp7 they also have exclusive camera features.
so i think its time to see which one got what feature and whats missing and why, maybe we also find a way to change that.

Just taken this from iYTBP XDA thread : HERE
Completely redid video ad blocking. (This is a much better, faster and simpler)
Background Playback enabled (This is also a simplified mod)
Enable/Disable background playback via Settings
Force VP9 Codec option for better video quality and lesser bandwidth usage (Settings -> iYTBP Settings)
Override Max Resolution Limit (Settings -> iYTBP Settings)
Set Preferred Video Quality (for WiFi and/or Data) (Settings -> iYTBP Settings)
Enable/Disable Info Cards on videos (Settings -> iYTBP Settings)
Enable/Disable Suggestions Cards on videos (Settings -> iYTBP Settings)
Enable/Disable channel branding watermark on videos (Settings -> iYTBP Settings)
Enabled "pinch to zoom" for all devices
Casting working with all features (no ads on external devices not guaranteed)
File names + installer adjusted to the new "vanced" mod naming
[Optional]Detach YouTube from playstore for magisk users
White/Black Themed versions
Also it does support "picture in picture mode" but i've never tried as it only works on Oreo.
I use the black themed version and its pitch black so its amoled friendly.
Getting some of the youtube red features isn't bad.
Coming from the v30 I miss their dslr-like camera app (but not the performance of the camera). Does anytime have a good alternative that supports the new api?
+1 for this as I'm also looking for a manual camera app that can control the shutter speed and ISO. Night sight is great but at times, I know shooting manual will give me better results.
I tried Open Camera but the shutter speed is limited to 1/4 max
i prefer "FreeDCam" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=troop.com.freedcam
- UI is clear with many settings
- Manual control in photo and video
- Exposure bracketing as well as focus stacking and time-lapse
- direct support via telegram group - https://t.me/joinchat/BdeA6xCXJ-DvG0wT_kjW-A
- experimental features like HDR + etc
next is "ProShot" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riseupgames.proshot2
- max ISO7111 & 4 second exposure time
- supports exposure series RAW, jpeg, RAW + jpeg + -4.0 - take three shots in less than a second
- Lightpainting mode
- manual exposure in video mode
- Time-lapse mode
- simple and clear UI
I know that there's a Gcam mod available, but it requires steps that I don't want to make.
I just want to improve things a bit getting rid of the noise reduction for more detailed images, there's any tweaked Moto Camera app?
If your phone is not rooted, I'd recommend you to use Camera FV-5 and set a sharpness under 12 (Options >> Photo encoding settings >>Set image parameters >> Sharpness).
If your phone is rooted, I'd recommend you to use Open Camera (Activate Camera2 API and then you will find options to configure Edge and Noise Reduction in Processing settings option). Also, you should set Image quality to 100% (Photo settings >> Image quality).
Increased Bitrates (20% over stock) - 4K60, 4K, QHD, 1080p60, Slow Motion

Installs latest Samsung Camera revision
Remove 4GB video file size limit - App only
Adjust Photo/Video Edge Sharpness & DeNoise settings - App only (Exynos only currently)
Custom bitrates - App only

Custom Shutter Speed > 10 seconds - App only
Choose your own custom Gallery - App only
23 Feb - v2
Camera update v10.0.00.72
App Only options are mostly due to library, xml file changes which have to be patched specifically to your model and something I don't have the time to maintain for different models.
JPG quality on S10 / N10 default is awful at 92 compression.
Camera Mod App - Paid
Download Now - Magisk Free Version
you need root
could it be possible to share the xml tweak that allows to change jpeg quality from 92 to 100% please?
