I have a question regarding the Galaxy Watch. After checking the forum, I found out that there are multiple firmware versions plus the difference between the Live Demo and the Retail watches.
There are two firmware versions for the R810X, one that ends in ARJ and one one that ends in ARH, what is the difference?
*Edit: I figured it out. The ARJ and ARH are the firmware updates. The firmware update order for the SM-R810X is ARH -> ARJ -> ASB, where the ASB is the latest one. As far as flashing goes, I have accquired the ARH files, flashed them, then updated to the other versions from within the watch.

No But the answer is!
I'll try to keep it short as we already have a thread on what all noticeable has changed etc.
1: Upgrade or Not as of now is more of a subjective thing. What I may find might better/worse might be completely opposite for you, as a lot of minor things have changed. Given that most will succumb to some form of an update and have to accept what is made available to them at the time, it seems like updating should be perhaps a good enough consideration, however, check your region and firmware on sammobile.
I would advise against updating unless applicable firmware version for your region ends with MI1/MI2 or above (MJ1,MJ2..,MK1, ..) (I/J/K denote build months, in this case being september/october/november resp). There are noted issues across different region with older 4.2.2 firmwares. Mainly S-pen and Magnetic cover issues (alarm) which again may or may not be of any consequence to you.
Q2:. Why didn't you get an OTA? :
2.1: Is your Device factory Stock?.
2.2: Might have to do with that samsung has not released updates for your device region yet and perhaps also look into settings if auto OTA Updates are enabled.
I have updated my Note 8 today manually because it has not been available neither via OTA nor via KIES - a quick check on SAMMOBILE shows no 4.2.2 version published for my region. Therefore I decided to push manually the latest 4.2.2 XX version (XX in the name of the ROM means that it is for Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom).
Note that it is the third 4.2.2 XX release which I hope is good enough. Samsung has released 4.2.2 versions for a few other regions too dealing with the reported problems. I am not aware of any strict schedule region by region - it means that you may wait quite long for your regional version. Therefore I replaced my XE version (Bulgaria, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine) with the available XX one.
The update went smoothly even on my encrypted Note 8 and at first glance everything is running fine, every setup and data is preserved. The first thing I noticed was the "flatter" color palette as most of the contemporary changes in the colors. I do not see change in the performance, neither the sound quality for example...
There are some minor improvements in the 4.2.2 user interface which I was missing in 4.1.2 and they were the second driver for the upgrade. The main was the sheer curiosity .
So, it is really up to you whether you will go for your manual update

I bought a Verizon S9 through Swappa from "It's all wireless Inc." and expected to update it to Android 10. Well it came in and has CSC G960USQU7CSJ2 from CCT (Comcast) and won't go past Android 9 security patch level October 1, 2019. I'm not very happy and they aren't responding to emails. I've never flashed firmware on a phone but have been reading everything I can find. My question is can I just change the CSC code to VZW (see link below) and it will then pull the firmware/security patches OTA or do I have to flash the full firmware? Thanks in advance for the advice guys..

first things first, please dont post outside links like that one on the bottom of your post.
now thats out of the way, all you need to do is flash the VZW firmware with Odin. I bought 3 Cricket S9's and flashed all of them with the U1 firmware and have also flashed the VZW firmware on them just for s--ts and giggles. Technically speaking, the firmware likely already has all the VZW stuff baked in, it just needs to be told which CSC to use, but since youre behind on FW anyways, just flash the newest G960U FW for VZW, reboot, profit. When flashing, be sure to use the HOME_CSC to not factory reset it and the CSC if you want a clean slate.
Hi. I have the AT&T LTE version of the tab s4, SM-T837A. I read that the android 10, One UI 2.1 update for my device went live a month ago, but I'm not receiving any updates. I'm on android 9, One UI 1.1. It says I'm up to date. Any ideas how I can get this update? Does anyone know a safe place I can download it from and do it manually? Sammobile doesn't seem to have it... At least, I can't find it.
If it matters, I don't have a SIM card currently installed on the tablet.
Thanks for your help.

because your info is wrong. only the samsung stock versions got the update. all carriers are lagging behind as usual. still waiting for my Tmobile variant also. you can look on sammobile.com and browse the firmware database to confirm what i'm talking about. T837A didn't get the update yet. it;s still on 9
Yes I have the same question. I found only the wifi model is updated to Android 10. Has anyone on a carrier device flashed the wifi version?

Not only wifi version & other variants, except USA carries (verizon,t-mobile etc)

No you can't, if the device is locked to the carrier...you have to wait update from your carrier ,if it gives the upgrade of course
Att issued the update a few weeks ago, and a smaller update hit my T837a today. It contains September security update and a new radio firmware. link to imgbb if the attachment doesn't work as I'm getting an NGINX error. I been here since 2007 never seen such before...

Still won't update
I have the AT&T version of the Tab S4 and it still shows I'm up to date, yet I'm still on the January 1, 2020 security patch does anyone know what to do?
I am in the same boat. AT&T Tab S4 will not update. Is there any way to manually flash? I don't see the update available to download
Complain to att. I pissed and moaned to online live chat support after the international version got it's update. Complained every couple of weeks until finally they asked for my imei, then a few weeks later I checked for updates and it did the 10 update.
Hi all,
1- I have S20 ultra G9880 model. But I'm using it in Egypt so my provider csc is different than the firmware's csc. Since then, I never recieved OTA updates although there were multiple updates and I had to download the whole firmware and install it with odin. So is there a way to get OTA updates back to work?
2- I read on some other websites that there is a way to flash firmware from different model (for example G988U) on any snapdragon based model (like the one I had) but this has to be done with a patched Odin so it will ignore the model differences. My question is, is this correct? if so can some one post the link to this patched odin ? or is there another way to flash a firmware of different model but with snapdragon processor in it?
Thanks in advance
I've not heard of this being possible before. But even if it were possible, flashing the firmware for the US model, wouldn't do you any good either, since that firmware doesn't have support for Egypt either. On top of that, the US model supports different bands that your phone doesn't, hence the difference in the modem.

Well, I wanted to install the US firmware mainly to be able to use the One UI 3.0 beta.
If there is another way to install it on my phone without flashing the US firmware then I'd be grateful to know
Sounds like a recipe for a disaster...

Did you flash the same Firmware (CSC) to get OTA's? Samsung sends updates, not your service provider regardless of your location so it's odd you're not receiving them.
On the SM-G9880 there are only 3 FW's compatible for flashing, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. Android 11, One Ul 3.0 isn't yet available for your device however the Source Code is online. Likely you're better off waiting a bit longer, it should be available for your device by the end of the year.

With respect to updates if you own a PC often times Samsung's Smart Switch platform will distribute these before OTA's become avaliable which eliminates the need to flash your device.
Hi Community,
I bought my S20+ 5G in October and since then it has not received any updates, neither security patches nor Android 11. I called AT&T and Samsung both but they kept putting the blame on each other. By searching online I realized this seems like a theme in these kind of issues. The only option I feel I have at this point is to install the upgrade myself. I'm more concerned with Android 11 than security patches. I still got for security patch from June 2020 and One UI 2.1.
With this context can you please help with the below questions:
1. When I try to look up the firmware using Model:SM-G986U and CSC:ATT in Frija or SamMobile nothing comes up. I'm looking for G986USQU1CTKH. Am I missing something?
2. But it does come up with CSC:TMB. Can I install this version on ATT branded phone?
2a. Is the TMB version exactly same as ATT version?
3. Does this process trip the Knox counter?
4. Does this process void the warranty?
5. Are missing software updates covered under manufacturer warranty?

AT&T doesn't allow their firmware to be publicly available for any of their devices. Have you attempted updating your device with Smartswitch? Flashing T-mobile's firmware isn't an option to receive updates on your device. This post has information and answers to your questions.
G986U and G986U1 Firmware Links and Flashing Discussion Here
For those who aren't already aware, G986U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the S20+. The G986U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM unlocked and with no carrier bloatware. Firmware is 100%...
