Hi! I want to get an HU unit for my car (Opel Corsa D 2011 87ps)
I saw a lot of models with different CPU and different Android Version. I want to get not something cheap with a good CPU and almost 4GB ram. In future will be good if this Android unit support a rear camera (better if wireless). Do you have any suggestions?
Up. I found a model with PX6 and another with Qualcomm A53 which one is better? A53 is from a company called Eunavi

RAMDR3 1GB
Nand Memory:8GB
Audio output:4*50W max
Screen Resolution:1024*600
Cold Boot time: about 25-30s
No advice really but it's a dual core processor with limited ram. Android 4.4 is pretty old as well. On the face of it there are better units out there. As a minimum is go for quad core, 16Gb, Android 4.4.4

As gk66 says, it's old stuff they are selling out. Go to their web-page and have a look at the new ones.
When they say Parrot Bluetooth, fine, but no improvement compared to the modified ones
here on XDA.
Hello everyone,
about a year ago I installed an RK3188 car radio in my Alfa Romeo 159.
From day one the performance of the radio was very bad. Especially when I just started the car.
Recently I learned there are upgrades available. Would this work on my device?
Current Radio:
From aliexpress:
Quad Core Android 5.1.1 Car DVD GPS for Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon Spider Brera with Mirror-link BT Wifi Radio
RS-6007C1
MTCD_KGL_V1.92a_5

Android: 5.1.1
Upgrade:
From aliexpress:
WITSON Octa-Core +4GB RAM +32GB Flash PX5 Coreboard For Android DVD (Android 5.1 A5XXX upgrade to Android 6.0 B5XXX directly
Thanks!
Hello geertjan88,
I have upgraded last week my alfa 159 android HU (MTCDE KGL MCU firmware 2.47 and Android 5.1.1) to Witson PX5 4Gb + 32Gb Android 6.0.1.
The result is nice! New board much faster.
Attention for radio. On antenna input no phantom supply for antenna amplifier (in PX3 5.1.1. neither).
Have good project!
Hello Geertjan,
Did you already upgrade your alfa 159 HU? If so, did you experience any issues? Or was it more or less plug and play. I have the same unit (1gb android 5.1.1) which is really slow. A new unit with android 8.0 one will cost approx. 300€

Yes I have.
The screws from the px-5 board do not align correctly with the unit. So it was some fiddling to get it fit correctly. There is some tension on the px-5 board but it is working as it should.
Improvements:
Bootup time is shortened drastically
Device is immediately ready to use
Device feels really snappy and fast
Multiple apps running at the same time, no issue at all
Steering wheel buttons now work!! (didn't work before)
Problems:
WiFi does not always auto connect, have to go into settings and connect from there.
All and all, best 100 dollar i've spend in years.
Thanks (bedankt ) !
I'm giving up on the generic fit HIZPO Sofia 3GR 16/1gb.
Because of price and availability, my choice is between 2 XTRONS Mercedes specific units.
1. PX5 Cortex A53 Octa 1.5ghz, 32gb/2gb Android6.0, model PB76M209P.
or for £10 more:
2. PX3 Cortex A9 Quad 1.6ghz, 16gb/2gb Android 7.1, model PA77M209P
Which would you go for?
Descision made.
Surprised to get no reply on here, usually very quick and helpfull!
I'm very unhappy with the Android on my PX5, Android 6 never got stable, Malaysk 8 now not much better, Bluetooth not working, cracks between Songs.
User Experience is far from Phones or state of the Art.
I haven't installed it in my car and still have the original Radio with Phone Bluetooth only, can navigate with Iphone, but not play Iphone music.

Sadly 32/4 is too expensive!
I ordered 32/2 next day delivery on Wednesday, still waiting 3 days later, and it now says 'out of stock' on the website. No contact from them. Not impressed so far.

Thanks, thast's really usefull.
I went PX5.
Android 9, 4+64G Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC with eight ARM Cortex-A53 cpu cores 14 nm Car Multimedia Navigation System for BMW 3 5 Series M3 M5 E60 E90 EW963.
Does anyone know this brand and is this the first android car radio brand that uses a Snapdragon 625 cpu?

Seems like it is indeed the first radio to have a SnapDragon CPU. That's a big positive step for performance with these radios. The SnapDragon CPU's are faster, more powerful and much more responsive than the laggy RockChip ones.
See here: https://www.notebookcheck.net/625-vs-RK3288_8168_6984.247596.0.html
This is the only brand I've seen with it, so hopefully that will pan out to more brands using this chip and hopefully soon we'll get a Universal model that will drop into almost any car setup we have.
Looking at purchasing a Jewellet android head unit for my 2014 buick enclave. This looks to be the only factory style that i can find for my vehicle with the android OS .
