enable aptx hd on snapdragon s20? - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Since snapdragon chips natively support aptx hd and Samsung scrapped this feature from snapdragon devices to bring them down to the same level as exynos devices, is there a mod or something to enable aptx hd on snapdragon s20 phones?

No hardware to process the codec in bt chipset.
Thoughtful, heh?
Took away the 3.5 jack and didn't allow the latest hd bt codecs to ever be usable even in the latest and very expensive flagship models.
The best HD bt codecs availible are LDAC and SSC.
Buds+ sound damn good using SSC/Poweramp & its EQ.
Otherwise some Sony and a few Panasonic can use LDAC.
Contact Sammy and let them feel the wuv...

[Q] Can aptX codec from Tab 7 plus be ported to E4GT?

The aptX codec gives A2DP bluetooth a lossless or near lossless audio connection. Senn's bluetooth headphones and Samsung's HS3000 bluetooth receiver (headset dongle) support this. According to an announcment at CSR the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus will have this. My question is: Can a dev here port this from the Tab to the E4GT?
The CSR press release reads:
As part of an ongoing licensing partnership with Samsung Electronics, CSR plc (LSE: CSR and NASDAQ: CSRE) today announced that its aptX™ Bluetooth audio codec will be supported in the upcoming Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus. CSR's aptX audio codec built into this successor to the most popular Android tablet computer will enable it to deliver outstanding CD quality stereo audio wirelessly to a broad range of aptX-enabled Bluetooth stereo speakers and headsets, such as the Samsung HS3000.
I work for CSR aptX - can you contact us directly? [email protected]
So..?
Did this ever move forward?
Looks like they killed him.

Bluetooth apt-X codec

Does anyone know if the G-Pad is compatible with aptX Bluetooth devices? Apparently aptX offers decent sound quality over bluetooth compared to the "normal" bluetooth codecs...

For anyone that is interested, I asked LG and they said it is not aptX compatible. I then found a "hack" on the web that involved rooting the LG, and tried it with a aptX receiver. End result is that unfortunately it doesn't work.

[REQ] AptX Bluetooth for nexus 5x ?

Hello,
just wanted to know if it is possible to get aptx bluetooth for the nexus device per MOD ?
A lot of new phone support it out of factory (http://www.aptx.com/category/phones) , but not Nexus 5x.
Thanks for your interest!
have a nice day
I just got a set of AptX compatible headphones, and noticed a lot of LG phones are AptX compatible (minus the 5X from the lists I've seen). Is the hardware in the Nexus 5X not capable? I would love to hear the difference between standard bluetooth and AptX enabled bluetooth sound.
Aptx require license, which costs money. Google didn't bought it, so there is no support.

APT-X Support

Hi all,
Is there a way to get APT-X working on the Oneplus 3?
Are there custom roms or kernels that have it build in?
I've had a look into this but not found any useful information. I'd also like to know what codec/bitrate is being used by my car bluetooth to be able to compare to aptx. Compared to my xperia z2 with aptx, I haven't noticed any difference.

Use LG g4 as media centre device?

Has anyone tried turning an LG g4 into an android TV box?
It has HDMI output, wondering if it can passthrough DTS and is capable of framerate switching?
The Snapdragon 808 seems capable of HEVC decoding so in theory it should be powerful enough.
