So i got me a new Samsung tv. Connected my Note 10 plus to the tv, no problem all works good (wireless).
But the next time i connect i get this -> https://www.reddit.com/r/SamsungDex/comments/ig25vf/note_20_ultra_wireless_dex_issue/
I have tested to re-connect so many times but i always get the same problem.
The problem is probably from the tv, because I have reset the tv several times now and then it works again once but then the same problem.
Tv is a qled q60t.
Anyone?

Lol your t.v is this year model, of course it will have Wi-FI direct!
Here do this and enjoy To turn on Wi-Fi Direct, go into Settings -> Connections -> Wi-Fi then tap on the Wi-Fi Direct tab at the top. Your smartphone will start scanning for devices that you can connect to. Unlike with Bluetooth, there is no button or anything that you need to tap to turn Wi-Fi Direct on

Yes i just tested on my Sony! What you need to do, is turn off Wi-Fi direct. When it's turned off, make sure Dex from the drop down is on before disconnecting WI-Fi direct.
Then you need to click on your t.v icon on your Note 10 Dex will start!

There is no "screen sharing" option on the tv. You need to enable it from the phone and then "allow" on the tv.
I think you have misunderstood my problem. all connection works "smart view" etc.
The problem is with dex that i get low resolution after i connect.
Anyway the support list on samsung page only lisr note 20 and Galaxy Z Fold2 so I guess that's why samsung ignores my email and chat messages.

(DeX is only available on select Samsung phones, including the S8 and up). So not sure why Samsung is ignoring your emails, have you set the display resolution from Dex settings ?
As You can also adjust DeX settings while you’re in DeX mode. Just select Settings, and then select Samsung DeX to manage wireless connections, screen timeout, font size, screen zoom, wallpaper, display resolution, taskbar settings, keyboard, mouse, S Pen input modes, and sounds. display resolution <-- Have you tired this in DeX settings ???

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has been able to screen mirror via miracast their Tab S to a non Samsung TV without using a dongle (to a miracast capable TV)?
Thank you for taking the time to look and especially if you can help!

Yes,

You bet! All I had to do was turn on the screen mirroring by pushing the "screen mirroring button" located in the drop down menu(the toolbar that shows up when you pull down the notification bar, sorry, I can't think of the actual name of the menu right now). Then go to your TV and go to the input menu and scroll over to the right and you should see an input for a wireless device, or something to that effect. Click on that input and it will start searching for your tablet. The first time I had to restart the scan from my tablet because the television didn't find it. Almost instantly after restarting the scan from my tablet, the television found it. I'm not by my TV now, but if I remember correctly, the very first time you try to connect a new device, the TV comes up with a list of devices and you have to click on the tablet. After the TV has successfully connected with a device, all that needs to be done next time is simply turn your mirroring on, and click the wireless device input on your TV, and it will connect without having to choose your device from a list. That's all I had to do. Good luck!
Sounds good! I have a w905, so hopefully it works as well as for you. Thanks for the help!

Hello,
I did a little checking around for you. From what I read on Sony's website, it looks to me like a USB adapter is required for a wireless network connection. The adapter is a UWA-BR100, but after doing some research on the adapter, it looks like it won't work for miracast. Now, I couldn't find it on Sony's website, but several people made the comment that the adapter specifications state that it does support miracast, although nobody seemed to have been able to get it working. It may be possible to wirelessly stream through the adapter, but I wasn't able to find anybody that had been successful. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hi
Does anyone know a way to keep WiFi from switching ON?
Iv'e tried the settings.apk to turn it OFF but it seems to reactivate itself. Or another app is switching on.
Trying to find an app that will do it, but no luck so far.
This would be simple on a regular android device.
I prefer a wired connection and would like the WiFi to stay OFF.
Thanks

I was able to get it to forget my network as you suggested.
The FireTV seems to have the WiFi signal turned on even when connected through ethernet.
I've tried a few WiFi manager apps to disable WiFi completely.
My WiFi signal detector always shows a signal from the AFTV, except when it's unplugged.

Yeh - I think I have the same issue. My connection showing wired, I ran a speedtest and getting 45mb (I have 120mb braodband).
The Remote App also works which tells me I am still wireless.
Disable wlan module ? ?
I tried to disable the wifi module (wlan.ko in /system/lib/modules) by renaming it, but it just created a new copy.
There must be an app to freeze or disable somewhere.

The Amazon Fire TV stick broadcasts its own wireless signal even while connected via ethernet.
Peer-reviewed scientific papers on health effects of wireless radiation are abundant. Here's 1: ehtrust.org/science/research-on-wireless-health-effects/
Kids are way more vulnerable because they absorb way more radiation. Pisses me off that I can't see a way to disable it. IoT devices should come with a way to disable broadcasting a signal and default set to 'off'!
Does anyone know of a way to disable the function that makes the Amazon Fire TV stick broadcast it's own IoT wireless signal?
Any help would be much appreciated! thanks
I’m looking for a way to disable it as well. Thanks for any info.
I would also like to disable wifi on the firestick as well. I do not want wifi signals coming from the firestick trying to find a wifi connection if it is plugged in via ethernet. I am trying to avoid EMFs exposure.
I, too, would like to know how to completely turn off the Fire TV stick wi-fi signal.
The remote is WFD (Wifi Direct, not Bluetooth) and there is no way to turn this off. Wifi for data is off when it is plugged in as wired.
I too have got rid of EVERYTHING wifi or bluetooth in my home.
I was hoping i could disable bluetooth and wifi completely on the fire tv stick 4k.
I am using my infrared TV remote to control it through CEC.
I connected to it remotely via ADB and executed these two commands
adb shell settings put global bluetooth_on 0
adb shell svc wifi disable
Unfortunately although the commands seemed to work, the fire tv is still emitting huge amounts of EMF.
Any clever people here have any ideas to disable Bluetooth and wifi completely ?
Thanks in advance
For anyone who is interested I found a way to disable WiFi and Bluetooth and it is VERY simple.
WARNING :
Disabling Bluetooth will make your Firestick remote unusable until Bluetooth is turned back on.
Restarting the firestick used to re-enable bluetooth but this is no longer the case, so be careful and,
Make sure you have another way to navigate before turning Bluetooth off. ( CEC or FireTV app )
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources on an Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick
From the Fire TV or Fire TV Stick's home screen, scroll to “Settings”.
Next, scroll to the right and select “My Fire TV”. ( ...
Next, scroll down and select “Developer options”.
Then select “Apps from Unknown Sources” to turn the option to “ON”.
THEN
Search for and install "downloader" on the fire stick
Use downloader to download and install an app called "Smart Quick Settings" available here.
I used version 2.71 but the apk is available other places too, aswell as other versions.
You could alternatively use a normal web browser on the firestick instead of downloader to download the smart quick settings app but you will then need a file explorer app to find your downloaded apk and install it.
Make sure you can control the firestick with CEC or other means, a guide for enabling CEC is below.
How to Enable HDMI-CEC on Your Fire TV
There are days when we want to watch something on our Fire TV but it takes minutes before the screen fills up because your TV is on the wrong HDMI input or the TV took a long time to boot up. You can avoid this annoying wait time by enabling HDMI-CEC on your Fire TV. HDMI-CEC is a code that...

Open Smart quick settings and toggle wifi and bluetooth off ( when navigating inside Smart quick settings you do not see anything moving so count how many clicks you have done, I think its 3 down clicks to get to the bluetooth off toggle )
And that's it all done... Simple
I have confirmed using my RF meter that it is no longer transmitting anything at all bluetooth or wifi.
Hope this helps someone
Turning off the Bluetooth on your Fire TV and keeps turning on that you gets hijacked on Bluetooth is called Bluejacking.
To disable the Bluetooth completely that you don't needed. You have to disable the Bluetooth Share app on it.

One thing to watch though is if you restart the fire stick or shut it down then bluetooth automatically turns itself back on, as long as you remember to just go back into "smart quick settings" and turn it back off then its no problem but personally i set my tv CEC settings to not send shut down or wake up commands so when i turn my tv off the fire stick just stays on all the time.
Only if it needs a restart for updates does it get restarted.
Hope this helps someone

It doesn't look like anything is moving but it actually is.
For bluetooth I think i just press the down button 3 times ( just count how far down it is) and the click select on the remote and you will see it toggle the setting on and off.
to turn it back on you have to press right after going down to the option, again you don't see anything move but it does move.

Thanks for the reply,
Tried it but when we click on it to try and alter Bluetooth it automatically switches
from Smart Quick settings to the firestick settings page and when we try to alter Wifi settings it sends us to the firestick network page which shows we are connected to Ethernet, when we press select on this it asks for an IP address-unsure which IP address to put in.

Thank you for that link. Also hoping they don't remove the feature. If they do this phone would be a step down from my LG G3 as well.
I have a Sony Bravia Android TV. The cast function works.
I hit the button to cast, and my phone's screen is on the TV screen.
There is slight lag, but it's good enough for sharing pics, vids, or basic phone functions. I don't think it'd be good for gaming.

Have you tried this method yet? I would like to know as I am curious to try it myself but don't want to go through the hassle of rooting if it does not work.

I have a Sony Bravia Android TV. The cast function works.
I hit the button to cast, and my phone's screen is on the TV screen.
There is slight lag, but it's good enough for sharing pics, vids, or basic phone functions. I don't think it'd be good for gaming.

android TV and chromecast will just work fine for screen mirroring, but they do not use Miracast protocol.
Hi all,
Screen mirroring used to work fine even with DP5 with build.prop trick.
Now on 7 my TV LG55 disconnects before mobile screen appear. Mobile can "see" my TV (even two more from the neighbour) but while on connecting... I get a message on TV that "Device Disconnected".
I tried all type of settings on TV with no luck.
Any suggestions?

I don't have Miracast. I also have this problem. TV to device not working in rooted stock Rom or Custom Rom because phone status and binary changed from Official to Custom. I need to hear the sound of the my Samsung Smart TV through hands-free because the sound amplification program needs rooted access.

I tested many apps about casting but not solved. I think if status and binary changed to Official then Quick connect should fully work. I'll still try more ways..

Clear data for following system apps and try to connect:
AllShare FileShare Service
BeaconManager
Nearby devices
Nearby Service
Quick Connect
Wi-Fi Direct
Wi-Fi Direct share
withTV
If not, go to stock recovery and full wipe (dalvik/cache/data) and flash stock ROM again via Odin. (Be sure to make a backup at first)

I still didn't find any apps that have this feature. I just installed the Stock ROM again after completely wipe data and factory reset in stock recovery. Then turn off the battery saving mode and tap on Quick Connect section. I get the sound and the image. My phone model is N910H.
Only problem is the poor reception of some TV channels. Voice boosting programs are also mostly fake, and I think it needs root access that it will stop this feature.
I hope you find a way to solve your problem.

Hello guys,
Just got this phone today, I saw some clip on youtube about screen projection of this phone and when I try it, it said I have to download Lebo screen projection client and scan QR code.
So where can I download that? I try google it and didn't found any.
Do you have solutions?
Thanks in advance.
I'm like you, can't find this software. But I can connect to my mibox through the native screen projection.
Best regards

Hi, In windows 10 there is an option on screen settings to "mirror to this device" (I translate more less because I'm spanish and SO is in spanish), later in RM5g you have to enable the option to cast, that can be find in other connections (make a search in settings), then if the pc and the mobile is connected to the same network you will see the mobile.
To connecto to android tv or mibox, just make a search in cast options on RM5g, the list will appear at the end.
Remember to stay connected always at the same network.
Best regards.
