Hello,
I am using Redmi K30 5G edition with latest China ROM (V12.0.7.0.QGICNXM). I am using several ride sharing and food delivery apps. All those apps working somehow, but most of the time they show error while displaying my location on map and failed to detect location.
Check below screenshot:

the error is: Google Play Services are updating...
It just keep showing instead of my location or any data on map. Although I have latest Google Play Service, Google Framework, Google Play Store etc. apps installed and updated. I am facing no problem while install/update apps from Play Store. I tried to fix the problem with installing Google Map app. But problem is not fixed.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Had the same issue, fixed it by installing Network Location app by Google from apkmirror.

The services works in Europe but it's a bit... frustrating. In my case it didn't work with wifi (juste 3g or... edge) and the app has not been updated since june to fix the wifi problem! Moreover I didn't understand how to play on android the playlists you create on your pc (in qrocity).
I mean, Sony only ported qriocity to android and the result is disappointing. For the same price (9€/month) spotify has a usefull offline mode.
Edit: the first month is free.

is it working here in the philippines?
Hey guys,
Hoping someone might be able to provide some insight for me on this. Please see the attached image. I have not opened the Maps application once. I noticed it was being a power hog about an hour ago and even force stopped it, but it persisted. Anyone had a similar experience/have an idea for a fix?

Also disabling location services could help

These cant be disabled... I only see the choice of caching when on wifi or wifi/3g and it says that its only active when charging, so wont be that surely?
Location services could well have an effect but you will lose the functionality of Google Services, google now etc.
I have all the location based stuff active and dont have the issue.
Could it be another app that is using Google Maps to obtain data and keeping it awake?
Yeah, as you said I can't disable them. I can't imagine what it is. Location services wouldn't have that much of an effect. Not sure what to do here. Thinking of trying a fresh install of a diff rom. Currently running CleanRom
Hey guys,
So I read an article or two about the Google Play Store being updated and now there should be apps optimized for Tablets on the store front page listed under a tab for Tablet apps. I have yet to see this update, feature or anything related on my Galaxy note 10.1 2014. Anyone have any info on this? Please respond if you do, thanks.

I had the same issue with my old tf700. In settings -> app manager uninstall updates and clear data for the following, Google Play, Google Play Services and Hangouts. Then make sure auto update is enabled and reboot. When the Hangouts update is detected you should get a notice that the Google service needs to be updated. Once that's done reboot again, eventually the Play Store app should get updated.
I got this message not too long ago, and I can't see the full message. I click on the notification and nothing happens, I looked to see if there was an update for Play Services and there wasn't. I don't know what to do! Even in landscape mode the notification didn't expand to show the full notification.

Google Play Services which some of your apps rely on. Try clearing cache, rebooting, and checking if your time/date is correct.

I recently updated my Google pixel XL to Android O but there is a problem, the chat heads on Facebook does not work and when I try to turn it on manually it just reffers me to the settings but the option is already on. Does anyone know a fix?

It's probably an issue with Android O, after all it is in beta. Perhaps the facebook app hasn't updated there app to support Android O.

I have 0 issues with fb messenger on Android O. I use it all the time. If I experienced this, I would first uninstall fb messenger and reinstall, if that didn't work, I would uninstall fb and if that still didn't work I would either try to factory reset or reload android o
