Problem after changing CSC - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hello,
I have changed the CSC of my Active 2 44mm (not LTE). Everything has been correct, except for two things:
1 - I still get the green letters when I start the clock, on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 presentation
2 - Now I try to upgrade by OTA (through the phone's app) and when it reboots, it says that the firmware could not be installed.
How do I fix both? Thanks

Put everything back the way it was (Fully Restore to Default) and try to update software.

Are you able to identify Model Name?
I hate this mm nons.nse.
Example:
SM-R820?
I am too lazy to google how long is yours... Firmware.
Colors in Booting is Engineer Bootloader sboot.bin (from Combination firmware) is still on device... this brings FOTA over the air to fail...
Because wrong Bootloader on device... from "chain of trust" selfcheck...
Best Regards

hi, I have a similar issue with the sm-r825f, after I changed csc to Germany... I got a watch from UK (BTU) unfortunately and wasn't able to set up esim. Now after I changed csc and flashed R825FXXU1ASJ3, esim works fine but I am stuck on ONE UI 1.5 and scanning for updates keeps failing.
What's the easiest way to make OTA work again?
Can I simply reflash a certain firmware? Can you recommend or link the files?
Sry if any information is missing!
Thank you all for your help!

[Q] Radio not working in custom ROM I9082

I bought I9082 from China Unicom (which I believe is firmware locked).
I tried to upgrade the firmware manually through ODIN.
But in ODIN it stops at setup connection
<ID:0/006> Odin v.3 engine (ID:6)..
<ID:0/006> File analysis..
<ID:0/006> SetupConnection
<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Then I rooted with CWM and loaded Custom ROM.
Later I upgraded a custom rom - XXAMD6 on baseband ZNMAMB3.
But the problem now is Radio is switched off. So the mobile is not active.
When I try to make a call it says Flight mode is activated. But really flight mode is switched off.
I am able to receive calls and messages
Do you have any solution for this.
Does this mean the firmware is locked?
Any possibility that I can revert back to original stock ROM I9082ZNAMB3
I have this stock ROM downloaded but could not load this through ODIN (seems there is some lock since it stops at setup connection in ODIN).
Any possibility that this stock ROM can loaded through CWM?
My phone is kind of half-bricked since I couldn't make any call also not able to upgrade.
Please give me solution.

you may experience "no service " after rom installation here is what u do to get it back...
its a modem compatibility issue in between different firmwares
download the file from http://www.mediafire.com/?avjo48kvgz517z5 or http://d-h.st/7O8 NEW MODEM LINK
put ur mobile in download mode VOLUME DOWN + MENU + POWER then VOLUME UP to continue
connect to pc
(ur kies should not be runing... proper drivers should be installed)
start odin3 v3.04 . u should see the blue comxx as phone is connected
autoreboot and reset time should be selected.
click in PDA . select the modem.amc8.tar
click start...wait....u get pass confirmation..phone may boot into recovery just reboot.
JUST leave the feedback on this... it worked for me....so it may work for all of u.
Hi, I could not download any file through Odin. I tried pushing the modem file already. Do you think there is any firmware lock?
During setup connection it stays for long time and then it says failed.
Any modem MOD file to push through ClockworkMod I can try.

Any solution to unlock this carrier locked phone without buying the unlock tools?
mr_coimbatore, I'm having exactly the same problem with a China Unicom I9082 here in Shanghai. Sadly I still haven't been able to find a solution, after weeks of searching.
It's actually a friend's phone, he bought it because he wanted a dual SIM Android handset, though foolishly bought it straight from Unicom rather than from an electronics market. I told him I'd get rid of the China Unicom firmware for him as it is obviously crippled by design like all Chinese Android stock ROMs. I've managed to install k2wl's Ultralite ROM on the handset but I'm facing the same issue as you - the baseband remains untouched from the one that was on the original ROM (I9082ZNAMB3), but it's stuck in flight mode. Can receive calls/texts, cannot make them.
The big clue that there is some kind of lock in place is the fact that one of the original Chinese logos still appears on boot. Flashing a custom ROM should remove all the stock boot logos.
I get exactly the same error when trying to update the baseband with Odin (I tried several basebands and all had exactly the same error as the one you quoted in your first post), so it seems that what we have here is a baseband lock combined with an incompatibility between the existing baseband and the custom ROM (or, more likely, any ROM that isn't the stock ROM provided by China Unicom). If we can remove the baseband lock and update the baseband to one that is compatible with the custom ROM, we should be in business. Sadly, that's as far as I've got.
The annoying thing is that the SIM cards being used on the phone are both China Unicom, so it's not as if I even need the phone to be factory unlocked for use on any network - I simply need it to be able to make outgoing calls/texts on Unicom!
I have seen sites offering an unlock service by IMEI, for example unlocksamsungonline.com, who claim to provide both NCK (network unlock codes) and SPCK (service provider unlock codes), which seem to be what we need in order to unlock the phone without expensive equipment.
However, I have no idea how genuine/reliable these kinds of sites are or if they even work at all (or if they're even legitimate at all), and I'd rather not spend $18.95 USD on an unlock code that doesn't end up working. Also, given that it's a dual SIM phone it's going to have 2 IMEI numbers, so I'm not sure if I'd have to pay double to unlock it or if just one would do the trick!
I've not yet had the time to take the phone to an electronics market in the hope that somebody there understands the issue and has the equipment to remove the baseband lock. In almost all of my previous experiences with electronic markets here in Shanghai, I've found that their hardware knowledge is fantastic (not surprising given that the phones are made in China), but their software knowledge is generally quite poor. I actually spent almost an hour one day explaining to an iPhone engineer that he could in fact upgrade an iPhone's software while preserving an (unlockable) baseband, simply by making a custom ISPW with Pwnagetool or similar that would flash the new firmware without flashing the baseband. He and several of his coworkers claimed that it was impossible, and when I showed them my iPhone that was running the updated iOS while still on an old baseband, until I managed to explain the entire process he thought I had hacked the phone somehow to display a different baseband version... the whole experience was incredibly frustrating and to be honest has left me thinking that I can probably find out more online whenever I've had any kind of software issues with any devices.
Anyway. If you happen to have some success before I do, please let me know! I'll do the same.

Hi, Yes I found the solution.
Thanks to tonylin880806 who provided me some links.
I am in Shanghai as well. I took my phone to electronics markets in Xujiahui and Zhangyang Road. In both places, every one said they cannot do anything. The reason may be they don't know or do not want to take any risk or bricking the phone.
Also I went to Samsung service center, they said I have void my warranty. I asked them only to restore the original firmware. But he said the only option is to change the CPU and that will cost more money. I asked for alternate options and he said no.
Then, I re-explored the posts asked if Tony has send me an option
At first, you should upgrade ZNAMB3 to ZNAMD1 with Odin. ZNAMD1 is the office OTA upgrade for ZNAMB3 sent by Samsung.
You can use below link for ZNAMD1 : http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shar...&uk=3590848074
to download ZNAMD1 which is official and push this through Odin.
So now you will be back with your original firmware without google account.
After this, you can root the phone with CWM.
Then you can load any compatible custom ROMs. But you should note that our handsets cannot load firmwares of all countries. Might be they are firmware locked or modem not compatible for other region firmwares.
I have loaded below custom ROM which is very similar to original firmware with google account. This is really good.
ZNAMD1_rc2 - http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=517042&uk=2030731697
Also, in this your memory card is swapped with internal memory and have chrome browser. USB OTG is missing.
Only problem I face is, when I install google talk apk there is some problem. Whenever I get an incoming notification from google talk, it hangs and it says process.google.com stopped. So I have installed hangout and its ok with hangout now.
Hope this helps you.........

Yeah, the link you posted has the '...' in it, which ruins the URL. It's the not the complete URL. Do you have the full URL to download it on Baidu? It will be much faster than downloading it from another site, as you know from living in China and having to deal with Chinese internet connections
I just want to make sure I'm downloading the correct version. Is this the right one?

XXAMF7 got loaded on the baseband version of ZNAM2.
I have the same problem like yours. As soon as it was loaded it said there is a software update, but when say OK to update the software it keeps searching. Have you got any solution for this?
Also, did you try if you upload the stock ROM of XXAMF7 on the unicom Duos? Whether the radio works?

Problem updating T700 to 5.0.2

Ok.... Crazy Situation here.
I can not update from 4.2.2. When I try to update I get 'Registration Failed' message right before the update should start. I did register this tablet with my account @ samsung, but no joy.
Here is the backstory on this: My S 8.4 battery connector broke and I got a used main-board off ebay. I replaced it, did a factory reset, and I got 4.2.2 working. However no lollipop. I checked the codes on this 'new' tab:
Country is: France/FR
Original CSC Code: AUT
Firmware CSC Code: MKT
Active CSC Code: MKT
Current Firmware as reported by Kies: T700XXU0ANE3/T700MKT0ANE3/T700XXU0ANE3/T700XXU0ANE3 (MKT)
Yes, all one line.
I'm in USA and I'm hoping to get to the correct firmware.
I want to use odin to update to 5.0.2, but just want to make sure I can use this rom:
Product code XAR
PDA T700XXU1BOK1
CSC T700XAR1BOK1
Is this my ticket out of this problem?
Thanks

You should be just fine flashing T700XXU1BOK1 with Odin. I've installed other region firmwares before without issue.
EDIT: If you'd prefer the French region though, go here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647) and use the software provided to download whichever firmware you need or want. Just enter the PDA and CSC into the appropriate fields.
Thanks noxarcana.
I was hoping that this would do it. BTW: Nice little tool you linked to!
From what I read the CSC codes now come from inside the ROM, so once I go with T700XXU1BOK1, I will get USA region? Just want to make sure.
And this update WILL wipe everything out, right?
Did anybody try IronMan ROM for T700? http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/stock-tw-rom-galaxy-tab-s-8-4-t2995235
How does this MOD deal with the country codes? Would it be USA?
Thanks
So, I thought I had replied to this but apparently I my mind lied to me. Yes, if you flash BOK1, you will be using the US region (also known as Cellular South...for some reason).
IronRom is one of my top 3 roms for this device! Since it is a custom rom though, you don't have to worry about CSC and PDA codes. Just make sure you get the correct zip file for your device (ie: T700, 5T800, etc.).

S Health & Secure Folder break after official ODIN update ?

Hi,
Wonder to know if someone encounter same issue as me.
When i received my Note7 from Orange (France), I immediately change operator ROM to official Samsung ROM which i grabbed from Sammobile.
After restart and first launch, i download my apps from Google Play and use S Health fine.
But now i can't use S Health and Secure folder ?
When i try to launch S Health, a message appear and said me: " Cannot Open......blabla...., my phone is threatened , you c'ant use this app, cause KNOX wasn't available on threatened phone..."
I did not root my phone, did not install wild APK only APK from Google play.
I can't figure out.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks !
I will try those steps:
1. Install phone info samsung from play store
2. Open and check your csc code ( original vs active vs firnware csc code
3. If you have different csc as I suspect then install with odin a new original software with a separate csc file. Maybe those apps check the status of csc active code.
P.S. did you factory reset your phone after writing new firmware with odin? Or you just booted your new firmware ?
Sent from my SM-N930F using XDA-Developers mobile app
The above poster is correct, i faced the same issue as i flashed the AP section only (previously this contained the lot) however secure folder failed.
I flashed the latest UAE firmware and placed in the BL / AP / CSC and the other one and all back to normal.
On the UK version my first install showed current CSC but no original or firmware csc, flashing the lot as detailed all but the original appeared and secure folder worked

Stock firmware for Active2 XSG (UAE)

Hi there! I was trying to change region on my Active2 from XSG to SER, but after installing CSC for my R820 I ended up on endless loading.. So now I am looking for stock firmware for XSG (UAE). Where I can find it or buy it? Thanks!
Are you able to unpack/extract files with Tool 7Zip?
Because XSG is inside OXA package... means in all leaked SM-R820 FirmwareS.
IMHO something else wrong...
Maybe start from scratch...
What you did and which Files you used?
Filenames usefull to understand what you did...
Best Regards
Hi adfree, thanks for the answer!
Yes, I can unpack files with 7Zip.
First of all, I updated the firmware to 5.5.0.2 and got version R820XXU1DUA7.
Made full reset on the watches.
After that, I downloaded the necessary files to change the region to my PC.
I have booted the watch into wireless download mode.
I connected to the watch via Wi-Fi from PC.
In the AP, I selected the COMBINATION-FT40_R820XXU1ASI2.tar file and flashed it.
After that, I made a reset in netOdin, and added the file CSC_OXA_R820OXA1ASHF_usr.tar to CSC and flashed it.
After that, I tried to boot into recovery mode, but something went wrong: there was an endless loading with text "SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch Active2".
I realized that I had made a mistake because of Tizen version. I again booted the watch into wireless download mode and through netOdinflashed all 3 files from smR820XXU1ASHF (AP, BL, CSC). (downgraded to 4.0.0.6)
After that, I again flashed the AP combinative firmware COMBINATION-FT40_R820XXU1ASI2.tar, then again the CSC CSC_OXA_R820OXA1ASHF_usr.tar.
And again I got an endless download.
After that I tried many different firmwares, but none of them resulted in booting in recovery mode after combinative firmware.
After all I installed R820XXU1CTI4 AP_R820XXU1CTI4_usr.tar + BL_R820XXU1CTI4_usr.tar + CSC_OUA_R820OUA1CTI4_usr.tar. Now I can't even update the Tizen version, because after the update, when watches is loaded, it gives me a notification "Couldn't update software. Try again later"
I will be insanely grateful to you if you help me
And one more question. When I start Spay, it says "Your watch was modified and can't access Samsung Pay". Does it means I will be never able to access spay?
Maybe, if I will flash stock firmware for XSG R820XXU1DUA7 all of my problems will gone? I think update is not installing because watches trying to install R820XXU1DUA3 update, but for XSG region I need R820XXU1DUA7? Thats why I'm searching for R820XXU1DUA7

Thanks adfree for idea! I've searched for new files and flashed 5.5 combinated firmware and all works fine! Thread can be closed. Thank you a lot!

Question CSC Change with SamFw

Hi, guys, I'm a bit new to this, but I would like to change the CSC from THL (Thailand) to ZTO (Brazil) on my Z Fold 4 using SamFw, as it seems simple enough as just clicking a few buttons, but I have a few questions:
1. ZTO is not on the list of CSCs it reads from the device, is it safe to proceed?
2. Will it trip knox? Will i still be able to use google wallet/pay? WIll i receive OTA updates?
3. Am i missing something or is it as simple as that for Samfw? Should I do anything else?
Thank you very much!
Hi Rodrigo, I believe I can answer a couple of your questions with the experience of changing CSC on my Fold 3 with Android 13 and one UI 5.0 from EUX to INU.
2. Will it trip knox? Will i still be able to use google wallet/pay? WIll i receive OTA updates?
No, it wont trip knox. Yes, you can still use Gpay. I am yet to check/receive OTAs. will update once I receive one.
3. Am i missing something or is it as simple as that for Samfw? Should I do anything else?
Its pretty simple and straight forward. Doesn't require any factory reset or wiping cache partition. Just connect the phone to a computer with your phone drivers installed, enable usb debugging in developer options and open the test mode with *#0*# and get to ADB tab -> select CSC Change -> select the desired CSC from the list of displayed CSCs which your phone model supports. Phone just restarts after this and u have ur phone with the new CSC n related content.
