hi ppl...
i got a weird problem.
on the lockscreen the touchscreen works 100% normal,
i can swipe down the statusbar & use the buttons at
the bottom ( microfon, lock, camera).
but after unlocking the lockscreen, i cant swipe down
the statusbar & cant use the navigation buttons at the bottom.
tried factory reset, flashed stock 7, stock 8, still the same.
what the %&*@#* is that?
any hints welcome ^^
I got the same problem...
Same problem here, on about 15-20 units.
I'm trying to find a alternative rom to see if it's better...
Anyone find the solution for this?

Guys
This is really annoying me now - I've fixed just about everything I wanted to fix (when using SPB MS3) but this glitch still persisted....I've gone back to a vanilla manila (say that 3 times fast!) with only changscreen and topbars installed to see if I can sort the problem but it is still there.
As you can see on the screenshot, after I have "tilted" any application allowed (via changescreen) I get this annoying little block glitch in the upper left corner of the device....when I tilt to landscape it stays there also until I soft reset.
I know it's not a mkassive issue, but it bugs the hell out of me now - anyone else had similar?

Sorry Wiggz I use various custom top bar icons but never get that issue!! Looking at the screenshot looks like the htc start logo icon is corrupt in shellres192.dll! where did you get the cab from?
I got the cab from this forum, however I have fiddled with numerous topbars with different start icons and all have the same. I recently went back to normal start bar (stock) and the same happened when tilting.....any more ideas would be greatly appreciated
Few questions:
- are you using FingerKeyboard?
- if yes, do you have it set to cover bottom bar in landscape mode?
- can the little block be clicked on?

Hi, Yes I do use Finger KB and thought it might well be an issue with this also but it's hard to say.
I have just tried to click on it and it shows the letter "q" on the middle left hand side of the display. So yes, it is an issue with finger kb - any idea how to solve it mate?
Thanks for your help so far.
EDIT: Changed the config to "show bar" on both portrait and landscape and that seems to have sorted it - can you explain why?
Hey everyone,
I'm trying some new ROMs and I am missing one important thing from stock: A button to pull down the settings and notifications menu in the navigation bar. My hand isn't big enough to use the whole screen single-handedly. This is possible in the stock ROM, but I haven't found a solution for custom ROMs.
In Nougat you can change your navigation bar, but out of the hundreds of commands there is no one that fits my needs. Any ideas?
Thanks!

RR rom
Hi, i played around with the freedom os rom, but some things I didn't like. So I flashed back to official.
Now when I play Pokemon Go the statusbar is complete black (attached screenshot).
Also when I start the game. There are a notification for like 1sec that "immersive mode is activated, swipe down to deactivate". But I can't do this, because the statusbar is already there.
Anyone also got this problem?
I think I remember that the game was full screen with status bar and navbar as Semi-Transparent.
Appreciate any help
Edit: can someone who doesn't changed something on there OP5T just start PoGo and take a screenshot?
Edit: just found the Option Settings>Apps>Fullscreen Apps
There was a 16:9 compatibly mode activated. I don't know why.
Now it works like it should.
Is there any way to get a transparent (see through - not completely black) nav bar on these phones? I've searched everywhere and Googled, but the only place that looked promising was an Xposed module for way back in 4.4 KitKat. Looks like that's not even a viable option anymore. I've seen people post to use the NavBar app, but that just creates an all black bar with invisible buttons.
I'm looking to get the same effect as on the launcher homescreen - see through and usable buttons. Is there any hope for this?
I have tried in the past to change the color of the navbar via the framework-res.apk to totally transparent, as in #00000000. All I ever got was black. I think the problem is something like this:
Most apps are not designed to go all the way down to the bottom of the screen, or Android makes apps not go all the way down to the bottom of the screen, I'm not sure which. In either case, since there is nothing to draw there, making a navbar transparent just basically turns off all the pixels, hence, making it "black."
The homescreen has been designed to go all the way down to the bottom of the page, which is why it works on the home screen and not other places.
I'm no expert, this is just my experience, and what I "think" is happening. Also, I think if it were possible somebody would have done it by now, but it just doesn't seem like it's possible without a vast rewrite of either framework res or systemui code.
Edit: it occurred to me that immersive mode is a thing, so I guess apps do go to the bottom of the screen when immersive mode is enabled, but not when the navbar is enabled.

Hi - I just set up a new S9 (AT&T). I installed my apps and went through some out of the box software updates so its now running 8.0.
Last night I noticed that when on my homescreen my Status Bar is now gone. It comes back if I open an app or go into the Apps drawer, but I cant see it from any page on my homescreen.
I can still swipe down from the top of the screen to get to the settings shortcuts, but I cant see Notifications, Battery, Signal, etc from any homescreen pages.
Its actually making me crazy - was hoping someone might have some thoughts on how to remedy this?
Thanks.
Hi after trying all morning I finally solved this - I found a lot of other posts outside XDA struggling with this issue so just wanted to update in case anyone else is having this problem.
I was using a picture as my wallpaper. For some reason this was making the bar invisible (or somehow the color changes to blend in to the background completely?). I changed to a Samsung stock wallpaper and it was visible again. I then changed back to set my picture as the wallpaper, and now the status bar is still visible...
Whatever - dont know why, but it worked!
