Hello
could you help me?
I have phone rooted , how can i install watchfaces on my smartwatch?
Thanks in advance
you can send it via health app on your phone. be it Huawei/Honor or other apps.
Unfortunately there is a lot more to perform. I just did it myself, because Huawei's developer support for testing watch faces directly on the watch is pretty poor.
This is no tutorial, but just for you to get the idea:
* Buy a cheap, used smartphone (Nougat+), because chances are, that you end up in a boot loop plus you might not want to hack your daily phone.
* Do whatever is necessary to install a custom recovery like TWRP (bootloader unlock, root, ...) (although there may be alternatives to install xposed from within Android). Once you have TWRP you may be safe, in case the next step bricks your phone, which happened to my Zenfone Zoom. I was still able to boot into Recovery and revert my changes.
* Install the XPosed framework. (can cause bootloop)
* Install a WatchFaceEnabler module for xposed (.apk)
* Install a beta version of the Health App (like 10.1.1.001)
THEN, this beta version will show a new menu item "upload watch face from phone" or so. Pair your watch with this phone/app and you can use this menu item to select the .hwt you exported and it will upload to your watch.
Good write up! cheers

Pleqse make advanced watch settings work
Edit: it works but DND doesn't work? Is this a dp4 bug?
Thank you for a great ROM. Is there a way to add more face watch to this version? I downloaded several, but none of them appear in android wear. Thanks.

Awesome way to start the New Year! Kudos
new bootloader or anything else needed? Or just wipe and flash away?
is root working for anyone else? tried getting into advanced settings and it says i don't have root? can i simply flash a supersu zip?
edit: root appears to work, it's advanced settings that isn't getting along
im assuming i need to go to official dev preview for bootloader first coming from your other rom @negamann303
edit- never mind it took like 15 mins to boot but i was at my office so no biggie lol

You shouldn't have to change bootloader as long as you use my kernels (modified stock included)

I will have to wipe the watch. ok. Will Wear Manager install "old apps" as installing 1.x rom? Or will i have to config the watch from scratch?
If the last one, i wont test it before weekend Wont like to be a half week without my watch

It's recommended that you do a full wipe if only coming from my 1.5 rom. Only because I have system apps in data. But the workaround would be deleting the system apps in data/apps in recovery prior to install
You could probably use root essentials to uninstall the system apps that are stored in the data partition

well, i understand to wipe cache, system, data... dont like, but think need to do, better at a version upgrade as this.
but if i do the big wipe (maybe i flash tonight because i cant refuse to play^^) i am not sure if i need to install the apps which come from phone again by hand. Or the android wear manager installed on the phone will "complete" the installation at watch as when i did fresh installed earlier, from 1.5 to 1.5.
Maybe i will need the android wear manager for 2.x too and that one wont use the config of the older one.
Hmm, think i will give it a try, just made a backup. Hate that watches have only 4GB flash. when using, storing some zips to flash und doing a backup... the watch begins to whine about less space...
Interested in the next days - having no time to play with wear. last weekend installed an amazon fire tv box for a mate, rest of the week will be "full" too. f.e. friday i drive to a friend of mine, installing her sons new phone. and then taking the tablet from one of her friends. to play around with grub to get it back to life. and so on. And now you forced me to play with my wearable. a day should have 48 hours
im so happy this rom is perfect.
and even advanced settings works since the dev updated to the lasted api

Actually, it doesn't sync like 1.5. You actually have to install them all via play Store on the watch. The good news is that there is a section on recently used apps, which includes your watch apps installed prior, also they install pretty quick.

Hmmm... interesting recently used apps sounds nice. but i think i will save my backup for a while
but first problem: When i try to copy my google account to watch, i get an error on phone.
And an interesting issue: I chose english language because i read that other languages might cause some malfunctions.
but after that, the messages come in german, the language at my phone. i am not able to say what will be later on, because actually i stuck on copying the google account.
Edit:
ok, maybe the phone cant copy the account to watch because watch hangs. watch is looking for updates and "nothing goes"...
only thing i notice is play music doesnt open upon seleting play on wear.
it goes back to watch face screen
-edit-
if it does what i mention originally then uninstall and reinstall from play store to get "play music" working
Hello ! Is there a way to install xposed framework on A7 2017 nougat ?
Using the Magisk module with the Material Design XPSD worked perfectly on my A7(2017)

Hello! I've never posted on XDA before but since I spent 6 hours yesterday trying to figure out a proper way to do just that so I might as well help.
This worked perfectly for my A720F/DS but it should also work with any A series nougat device. Notice that the MOST important part for this to work in other devices is choosing the correct xposed SDK according to your android system and CPU. Magisk is universal, no need to worry about download one specific for your device.
I'll start with a short summary in case you know a lot about the topic and then proceed to a step-by-step process.
Only the "systemless" AKA Magisk way works flawlessly, it's pretty simple when using the correct files. If you already have Magisk properly installed all you have to do is download the latest "Material Design Xposed Installer" and have active the 24 SDK module from the Magisk Manager app.
STEP 1
ROOT WITH MAGISK AND USE VERITY PATCH TO AVOID KNOX PROBLEMS
1. Put magisk v14.0 and dm-verity patch onto the sdcard in the phone.
Download the latest magisk from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Download the Verity Patch from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series-2017/help/how-to-install-magisk-v12-0-root-enable-t3611527 You might need this link later to use S Health...
2. Flash TWRP using Odin - You cand download both here https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series-2017/development/xcc-t3591448
Important Note for Installing TWRP on A7 2017: Disable auto-reboot in Odin so that after flashing TWRP it says PASSED but instead of rebooting and Knox un-doing what you just did, you will now attempt to go to download mode again (Vol Down + Home + Power Button) but as soon as the screen goes black (meaning the phone is off) you will instead go to Recovery mode, simply pressing the Vol Up + Home + Power Button.
3. In recovery mode, allow modifications. and under wipe there should be a button to format data. You will need to do this to flash Magisk and dm verity, if not your cellphone will be stuck on a bootloop.
4. Flash Magisk, when the process is done simply go back and flash dm verity. (this order is important)
5. Boot the phone normally, it shouldn't take long but don't worry if it takes up to 5 minutes. (In my case, when only the SAMSUNG logo showed up it would always keep going to a normal boot, but when it said A7 and the other info it would be stuck on a boot loop).
6. Open Magisk Manager app and check if you can download and install modules (it needs storage permission first). It you manage to install modules properly then skip to the next step. If it says Process Error and you can't seem to install modules then make sure you give the app the proper permissions and then on the home page of the app select Install Directly (Recommended), I guess this installs Magisk again or somethins.. This seemed to finally make it work for me. A reboot is necessary.
STEP 2
INSTALL SYSTEMLESS XPOSED FRAMEWORK SDK24 MODULE FROM MAGISK ALONG WITH MATERIAL DESIGN XPOSED INSTALLER APK
1. Get the latest "Material Design Xposed Installer" from here, it shouldn't matter if you immediately install it or install it later (like I did)https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758 (I'm 90% sure thats the one I used, if it doesn't work, try the one by Sr.CyanDroid)
2. In the Magisk Manager app, download and install the module XPOSED FRAMEWORK SDK24... It will tell you it installed correctly and reboot, you can double check by going into your Modules section after rebooting and seeing if it show up there... its a weird feeling but if it does show up that already means you successfully installed the xposed framework through Magisk.
3. Install (or just open if you previously installed it) the "Material Design Xposed Installer", it will either tell you it failed to detect Xposed or it will say its all perfect and you will be able to use Xposed normally. In case it says it failed, like it did to me, simply update the xposed app within itself. In my case, there was a notice at the bottom suggesting me to install the newest "Material Design Xposed Installer" and the problem was fixed immediately as I did it.
DONE
Keep in mind that by using this Magisk Method you are avoiding modifying the system partition, meaning its a lot less likely for you to brick your phone while trying different xposed files (apks are the only xposed files you need anyway). I hope this helps you and anyone else with this problem, keep in mind its 4am, and I'm really sleep so somethings MIGHT not be perfect. I also have a busy week coming up so I might not be able to respond any messages any time soon. Cheers!
Was looking exactly for this. Gonna try this in a day. Gonna post on the progress once done. Thanks!

until we get a 64 bit kernel, it'll stay 32. i want to build a 64 kernel cause i want to bring ubuntu touch to this phone, that requires a 64 bit boot image, if we are to use erfan's (only method for android 9 devices rn)
Thanks man.
Managed to get magisk working with this rom..alongside twrp
Simply install latest magisk canary APK (284). Give it super user when it asks and restart the app
Then when clicking install...it gave me option of direct install (make sure recovery is selected). It should install successfully
I then rebooted to bootloader and to get to twrp hold volume up after selecting recovery and dont hold anything to boot back to Los..
Can't share my boot image if that helps anyone

I gave it a try. It did indeed let me patch directly. It was very unstable. Things asking for su multiple times and not remembering my choice, certain modules not installing, and I always seemed to lose root entirely after rebooting

yup... sorry, forgot to post... I assumed it was after installing modules.
Lockscreen not work for me, in all gsi roms.
Only stock works.
rom works great, feels like a new phone.
model XT1952-4.
not working unfortunately is the FM radio.
based on the error message when trying to install FM apps, it looks like the kernel driver was not included in the rom?
I can deal with the fingerprint not working, it would be really nice to get the FM driver included so I don't have to use data.
Overall the phone is so much better with this rom, Thank You!!!!
Hi, probably a stupid question, considering I'm new: what does this differ from the Lineage OS instructions for Moto G7 Play at their web site? I mean, why shouldn't I stick with their instructions?
I just want to understand what is at stake here (again, I'm new at this world of smartphone os's)
I'm really interested in replacing Android (which I like, but it's... Google ) and all carrier bloatware stuff by a free OS.
EDIT: Nevermind. I've just realized that it isn't for the G7 Play, it's for G7 only. Sorry about this (maybe useful for other newbies like me)
Thanks for all the work
Everything seems stable been using on daily driver for 2 days now. Only issue is bluetooth audio not working. I'm wondering if the Motorola face unlock app would work however current version isn't available.

I'm using this on a Moto g⁷ Play in the USA, currently it's pretty stable. As for what's at stake, you lose access to Bluetooth audio, fingerprint & faceunlock unless you have SD card formated as portable storage and manage to get magisk working. There's a fix for Bluetooth Audio with magisk or ADB but I don't remember what the command was. Also as for magisk you should be able to fix atleast faceunlock because Motorola uses an app for it.

Why not just boot into bootloader mode and fast boot stock firmware to recover your device ?

Hi,
From your experience which GSI is better for MOTO G7 Play 1952-2:
Havoc or Lineage ?
It depends on what u trying to do exactly if u a heavy Magisk user u want to stay away from lineage and use havoc since magisk plays well with it if u don’t care about magisk and just want a simple root then this rom be a good experience for other then rom WiFi portal issues this rom it’s excellent cause it’s the only one with the notch fix if that fix was easily implemented out this rom and could be used with another GSI that would of been fantastic...

In my case, do your recommend Lineage as my best option to try?
Hello !
I want to install hwt in my watch GT 2, but i can't..
I create chinese account, but when i need to delete the Huawei Health, i can't because it's a system app ..
so it's impossible to install beta ..
i'mm in Huawei P20
My advice is to buy an additional "developer" smartphone, like a used one from ebay. I succeeded with an older Moto G4 with Android Nougat (7.0). This needs to be "hacked": Xposed framework needs to be installed together with a WatchfaceEnabler module. If the phone is prepared like this, the HealthApp beta shows the menu item to upload watch faces from the phone's memory.
But, some1 posted a patched version of the newest HealthApp which is supposed to show this menu item with nothing else modified. Maybe you try this first? https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83964603&postcount=1536
I also saw the application from Adrian on Telegram. I tested it yesterday on the Huawei P30 Pro ... It doesn't work ...
Then xposed or Taichi are the best ways to achieve your goal. Taichi is said to be at least questionable, regarding data protection. xposed can cause your phone to fail booting. That's why I suggest to use another phone and get everything going to be able to boot a custom recovery like TWRP. This can still be booted even if xposed causes your device to fail booting. You install and uninstall xposed from whithin TWRP. Just to mention: There is also an xposed manager app / installer from a booted Android. Don't know how reliable this is.
Hi,
How can I fix the Play Protect certification in Google Play without using Magisk? I already tried the method of registration the Device ID Framework (Google Service Framework (GSF)) in the Google’s Device Registration page (https://www.google.com/android/uncertified) but the status still not verifiend.
Should I lock the bootloader? If yes, can I have problem doing that with a Custom ROM and when I brick the phone again (needing flashing the Fastboot ROM)?
About that...this is a Custom ROM problem or what? I don't want use Magisk because I got some apps problem even using Magisk Hide and I realy don't need use a root device. So I solve the problems with the apps taking off the Magisk, but I got a new problem with Play Protect that don't let me install some apps like Netflix from Play Store. This is a problem that I don't want have.
I was using my Mi9SE (grus) with original ROM for 2 years and this week I chose put a Custom ROM, so I did it with Xiaomi.eu (xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9SE_V12.0.3.0.QFBCNXM_v12-10). I've bricked and learn a lot of things with this choice, but there's some that I didn't find solutions. Since I'm "old school", I need to know if I will have more awnsers from Telegram than here?
Tks!
I found this "solution":
1) Through TWRP clear the folder /data/data/com.google.android.gms/app_dg_cache
2) Set the permissions (chmod) 0644 the folder /data/data/com.google.android.gms/app_dg_cache
May need to clear GPay data after reboot
GPay works on my POCO F2 Pro, no Magisk, no Google Play certification
from here (https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-12-0-stable-release.56191/page-124#post-574285)
The Play Protect still not passing (shows up not verified) BUT you can install the apps like Netflix normally.
So...it's working without ROOT, MAGISK and with UNLOCK bootloader.
EDIT: with that "solution" I started witnessing some bugs from Contacts in WhatsApp and higher time to install apps from Google Play.
